Pity Poor PETA

Poor, poor PETA. They decided to carry their scare tactic, childhood nightmare inducing show to an elementary school in Savannah, GA in advance of the Ringling Bros Circus which is coming to town later in the month. Their purpose was to raise awareness of animal cruelty supposedly perpetrated by handlers on circus animals.

One word comes to mind. FAIL!
"I want to go to the circus! I want to go to the circus," Torrie Harris said excitedly as she got her hug and circus animal cruelty book from the PETA protesters.

Her mother, LaWanda Sanders, wasn't particularly moved by the "Animals Belong in the Jungle" activity book her daughter received. Sanders said she already has plans to take her children to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus when it comes to town later this month.

I am really disgusted with these PETA activists who more and more are targeting children, mostly of an elementary school age, with their often gruesome propaganda. Their arguments fall on the deaf ears of anybody who still has at least two working brain cells.

Kudos to the school also for doing their part in protecting the children under their charge.
But an end-of-the-day announcement over the school's loudspeaker warning children not to speak to strangers - even those in costume - foiled the animal rights group's plans to reach hundreds of impressionable minds.

PETA, leave the kids alone!
