Schumer Book Not Exactly Flying Off the Shelves

Honestly, I had no idea this putz even had a book for sale. Considering he's in front of a television camera most of his waking moments you figure he's got nothing else to say. Still, for a two-term U.S. Senator with a high profile, these may be the most anemic book sales ever.
Politicos are snickering at the plight of Sen. Charles Schumer, who holds more press conferences than any other lawmaker but can't seem to connect with the public. His book, "Positively American," released in 2007, sold 9,000 copies in hardcover and fewer than 1,000 in paperback, according to Nielsen Bookscan, which tracks about 75 percent of the nation's book sales. By comparison, Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue" sold 1 million copies in two weeks.
One insider couldn't help but quip:
"His book sales seem to mirror the pathetic poll numbers of his hand-puppet Senator Kirsten Gillibrand."
Maybe his follow-up tome should be a little more identifiable. How about Going Schmuck?

If you have $1.96 to spare and want to be bored to tears, it's available at Amazon, where it currently ranks 1,241,277 in sales.
