No doubt this is going to be a messy divorce with the ag school graduate now pitching a hissy fit at the denizens of the Daily Kos over their criticism of his criticism of Prezbo's speech.
After taking heat from some of his liberal fans on Twitter over his strong criticism of Pres. Barack Obama’s Oval Office speech Tuesday, Keith Olbermann stopped into another of his new media stomping grounds to find more of the same.
Now he’s leaving The Daily Kos after reading a “diary trashing first me and my colleague Rachel.”
I hate watching drama queens battle it out. Keith has got to be the most thin skinned guy on television. Pretty amazing for a guy who envisions himself as the modern day Edward R. Murrow and and has a following numbering in the dozens who tune in each night to see which conservative will be the target of his vitriol for daring to breathe the same air as him.
The very reasoned and respected newsman today reacted with his usual dignified manner to the resignation of Barack Obama's communist Truther, Van Jones.
I don't know why I've got this phrasing in my head, but: Find everything you can about Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes.
No, even now, I refuse to go all caps.
No, sending me links to the last two Countdowns with my own de-constructions of his biblical vision quality Communist/Fascist/Socialist/Zimbalist art at Rockefeller Center (where, curiously, he works, Comrade) doesn't count. Nor does sending me links to specious inappropriate point-underscoring prove-you're-innocent made-up rumors.
Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony "truce" push).
Oooh, Keithy and the Koz Kidz are coming to get you, Glenn Beck and Roger Ailes! Run for the hills!
It would be curious whether anyone in the hierarchy at GE and NBC are aware that one of their overpaid employees is planning to investigate and likely smear members of an opposing news organization.
Is this how they want to conduct business? And would Olbermann really want people poking into his past?
This is hilarious. A far left Vancouver "journalist" thinks he's got the goods on the Free Republic for alleged "hate speech" against Malia Obama the other day. Yet as it turns out, this member of the mainstream media turns out to also be a poster at the far left nuthouse, the Daily Kos.
You can make this stuff up.
It gets worse, though. Chris Parry, it appears, has advocated on his Daily Kos blog any number of egregious offenses, among them: posting hate speech on sites like Free Republic and blaming it on conservatives. Parry posted under the name "hollywoodoz" on Daily Kos, where his signature was "Fool me once, I'll punch you in the fucking head." Parry outed himself as hollywoodoz here, where he discloses the company he helped start. In essence: Parry, the journalist, found his story right where he'd been circling it for a very long time, and reported it as news. Sigh.
Naturally, the Freepers are tearing this guy a new one.
Good for them.
Freepers, get the word out loud and wide. The Vancouver Sun "jounalist" Chris Parry that defamed Jim Robinson and FreeRepublic is none other than radical left blogger "Hollywoodoz" at the Daily Kos. In addition to writting for the Vancouver Sun, Chris is a frustrated and failed internet entrepernuer having launched many websites and blogs, all of which have virtually no traffic, following, or success. Chris also writes movie reviews, though these are pretty lame.
Chris Parry actually advocated attacking "negros" and blaming the republicans for it. See this post at the Daily Kos by "hollywoodoz", who is in reallity, as proven below Chris Parry of the Vancouver Sun. See it here: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/9/9/10324/92702 This spells BUSH, CHENEY, BROWN. Now if this is not grounds for losing your job at the Vancouver Sun, I don't know what is. ... Chris Parry to state it again, has advocated attacking blacks and blaming republicans. This explains his article attacking FreeRepublic about post about the Obama girls. Amazing. Looks like Chris has done what he advocated back in his Daily Kos post.
I wonder what his employers at the Vancouver Sun have to say about this?
It's all too good to be true, therefore it is. Newfound celebrity Joe Wurzelbacher happens to share the last name of a man involved in the Keating 5 scandal, and this genius connects the dots.
Just when you didn't think things could get worse for John McCain -- they go in the toilet.
Literally.
So, you remember Joe the Plumber, who John McCain kept relentlessly bringing up. And up. The apparently undecided plumber who had complained to Barack Obama that he couldn't buy his own plumbing company because he'd have to pay 3% more in taxes. The plumber who John McCain lauded as an Everyman while oddly proclaiming "Congratulations! You're rich!" in the midst of a disastrous recession. The fellow who said that Barack Obama "tap dances better than Sammy Davis Jr."
That guy.
Well, it turns out he's the one gliding around the dance floor so much, you should expect to see him soon on "Dancing with the Stars."
You see, Joe Wurzelbacher is apparently related to Robert Wurzelbacher. Who is the son-in-law of (are you ready...?) Charles Keating!
Yes, that Charles Keating. The Charles Keating of the Keating 5 Scandal. For which John McCain was reprimanded by the United States Senate, for his involvement in attempting to illegally influence government regulators. The Charles Keating who John McCain has been trying to avoid have mentioned. So, he basically mentioned it 24 times.
(By the way, lost in all the attention paid to John McCain not getting the same career-ending censure by the Senate, as did the other four defendants - the reason for that is because he'd been in the House of Representatives at the time of his transgression. The Senate decided that they didn't have jurisdiction over him to give the same penalty. So, his career was saved.)
Anyway, back to Robert Wurzelbacher, Joe the Plumber's father. You see, Robert Wurzelbacher was an executive of American Continental Corporation, the parent company of Charles Keating's Lincoln Savings. That's the bank which caused citizens to lose their life savings and cost U.S. taxpayers $3.4 billion. As part of that scandal, Robert Wurzelbacher pleaded guilty to three counts of misapplying $14 million and served 40 months in prison.
And now, Lincoln Savings, Robert Wurzelbacher and Joe the Plumber are back with John McCain.
Naturally, Robert J. Elisberg provides no evidence or links that the two are related.
This isn't guilt by association, it's guilt by virtue of having the same last name as someone. Sweet. Love this new standard.
So this must be the new--are your ready?--October surprise!Just one problem, as some commenters try to talk Elisberg off the ledge.
Mr. Wurzelbacher was playing football in his front yard with his son, Joey, on Sunday afternoon when Mr. Obama made an unscheduled stop to go door to door greeting voters and asking for their support.
But that will not prevent people from claiming that this is some kind of McCain operation. Insane Andrew Sullivan is already on the case.
Indeed, the man obsessed with Trig Palin apparently was on the case, but has retracted his latest insanity, using the scrupulously meticulous Daily Kos as a source.
Robert M. Wurzelbacher, son-in-law of Keating, was 37 years old in 1991 when federal charges were filed against Keating. It appears that he has addresses in Phoenix and Coronado, CA.
The Robert M. Wurzelbacher of Milford, OH, a heavy donor to GOP candidates, is 83 years old and retired. They're not the same person.
Digging to see if this guy is a plant or a hypocrite is a good idea. But I think it's equally important to know the link before idle speculation.
On Wednesday there was a wild rumor making the rounds on several conservative blogs citing a dubious source that claimed Michelle Obama went on a racist rant and they were widely dismissed contemptuously.
Today we have Andrew Sullivan, Daily Kos and Huffington Post, three of the leading blogs on the left, printing wild accusations, all meant to destroy a guy who happened to be approached by Barack Obama for a photo op.
Having now forfeited all credibility, will they be the subject of widespread ridicule? And why should anyone trust what these blogospheric kingpins ever have to say?
I guess they're answering to a higher calling than salvaging self-respect and credibility.
Thank God we live in a free country, where you can speak your mind on public issues, without fear that those who disagree will respond by exposing anything you've ever done that you regret or that could embarrass your family.
Oh, wait, never mind. We have to know, according to some, about Joe the Plumber's tax lien, and how he doesn't have a license - which, if the smear artists bothered to check the law, he only needs for commercial work, not residential work.
This is the way our opponents operate now. Destroy anyone who stands in your way. Humiliate them. Make sure that anyone else who ever wants to skeptically question Barack Obama knows that every last bit of their dirty laundry will be aired for all the world to see. Bristol Palin, Trig Palin, — hey, it's all fair game. They've got to make an example of them. Show them that this sort of dangerous speech won't be allowed in the New America.
Finally, they're getting around to firing up the base.
That the Times made this allegation in a blog post rather than running it on the editorial page indicates that they either knew the charge was bogus or they didn't have the nerve to make their case in full view of the public. But in their new role as bloggers, the paper's editors seem to have all the intelligence and reason of the average Daily Kos diarist sitting at home in his mother's basement and ranting into the ether between games of dungeons and dragons. They also have about as much care for the facts--the "board" has already been forced to append a correction."
In reading some of the news stories this morning about last night's Democrat debate and comparing it to the posting on various liberal web sites, it seems that they were covering two different debates.
The progressive bloggers are all up in arms because they don't think any questions were asked of the candidates in regards to issues and rather the moderators were merely repeating rightwing talking points and trying to dig dirt on the candidates related to all the various shady characters, lies, and socialist leanings of the two remaining Dems.
The dinosaur media, on the other hand, has a different take such as this AP article which doesn't mention any of those things but rather tells us first and foremost that Hillary thinks Obama can win but there is no mention of what the nutroots are whining about.
In a 90-minute debate, both rivals pledged not to raise taxes on individuals making less than $200,000, and said they would respond forcefully if Iran obtains nuclear weapons and uses them against Israel.
And, of course, the old Democrat standby issue of Social Security.
They differed over Social Security when Obama said he favored raising payroll taxes on higher-income individuals. Clinton said she was opposed, her rival quickly cut in and countered that she had said earlier in the campaign she was open to the idea.
The UPI seems to think that the candidates stressed party unity during the debate with only a passing shot at any of the things the progressives are screaming like five year olds about.
Clinton brought up Obama's relationship with the former pastor of his church who made racist comments about the United States, and Obama's remarks about some Americans being "bitter." Obama spoke of Clinton's exaggeration about the danger she faced in Bosnia in 1996.
The old grey lady, the New York Times did do a story on the sniping and back and forth between the candidates on various shady connections each other had to some of the name and characters which have been brought up, but didn't pin the blame on the moderators like the progressive bloggers are doing. It is however the last paragraph of the Times story that chilled me.
And Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama said that as president, they would execute promises to begin the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq, even if their military commanders at the time advised them that it would be wiser to keep troops on the ground.
So you know what? If the progressive blogs had just kept their mouths shut and moved away from the keyboards most of America wouldn't even know that your candidates had their masks ripped off last night and exposed for the frauds that they are.
But you folks over at Kos, DU, and Huff'N'Puff stay classy and keep hurling around your vulgar language, threats of boycotts and, I imagine by now, have become supporters of capital punishment, at least for George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Gibson.
Monday we linked to an incredibly immature post by a Kos Kid calling for the seizure of President Bush's property and for him to be sent to Club Gitmo for waterboarding.
Well, if you go there now, it seems to have mysteriously disappeared, as noted by Radical Ron.
Sorry. I can't seem to find that story.
Nice to see the "mainstream" home of the Democrat Party practicing censorship.
Daily Kos: If we delete it, it never happened.
UPDATE: Thanks to Kokonut Pundits, we have a screencap of the original post here.
This is what happens when you indulge children too much. Keep telling them how special they are despite their churlish and infantile behavior, and pretty soon they start running your life.
Keep them in line, instill some discipline, punish them when necessary and they behave well, develop an earned self-respect and grow into mature adults.
Well, the Democrats, barely beyond the juvenile stage as it is, have been catering to the insane left nutroots bloggers for several years now, and coming off the heels of their recent meeting of Koslamists in Chicago, the puerile left has grown to think they actually wield some real power in the Democrat Party.
They don't realize they're just being pandered to and are disposable, ready to be thrown under the bus on short notice.
Predictably, like spoiled children, they're now having a temper tantrum, and it isn't pretty.
WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 -- Progressive and liberal groups and left-leaning blogs are furious, tossing around fighting words like "spineless," "craven" and "weak."
So much for the hopes of Democratic leaders that they could avoid a withering political attack by clearing the way for Congress to approve an expansion of the Bush administration?s terrorist surveillance program before the August recess.
"Democratic leaders in Congress didn't put up much of a fight and they didn't stand up and say "no" to Bush," said an e-mail message that political operatives for the group MoveOn sent Tuesday to the organization's members, urging them to sign an online petition calling on Congress to reverse the new law.
Translation: Enough Democrats retain their sanity to realize this country needs to protect itself. The kook fringe at MoveOn are too stupid to realize that.
Activist groups were somewhat forgiving earlier this year when Democrats backed down in a fight with President Bush over war spending, but the concession on changes to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act seems to have touched a nerve.
From the perspective of liberal critics, Democrats again let themselves be hoodwinked into handing Mr. Bush substantial new power on the basis of White House warnings of an imminent threat. And they did so when Mr. Bush's poll numbers are low.
Yes, but their numbers are much lower than Bush's, so did they really have a choice?
The idiots cannot grasp that.
Chimpy McHitlerburton is such an idiot, and he outsmarted you! How can this be?
"Ultimately, it was the Democratic leadership on the Hill that rolled over to this demand," said Caroline Fredrickson, a top lobbyist for the American Civil Liberties Union. "Instead of standing strong and standing on principle, they panicked and gave the administration not only what it has been asking for, but more."
Monday, possibly in response to losing JetBlue's sponsorship, the grand ayatollah took a deep breath, puffed out his cheeks and snarled at the Koslings.
There has lately been an alarming rise in diaries and comments that seek to impugn (without evidence) the motives of those they disagree with on various issues.
Yes, there’s the impeachment stuff, but this nasty rhetoric is also rampant in the primary war diaries.
This points to a serious breakdown not just on civility, but in the ability of people to properly debate various issues. As such, it presents a serious threat to the integrity of this site.
Civility, proper debate and integrity at the dailyProtocols of the Elders of Koslam. O-o-o-o-kay, like, if you say so, dood.
I much prefer it when the community moderates itself, and for the most part it does a good job of this. The libertarian in me prefers it that way.
Libertarian??? Libertarian??? Then I'm the high rabbi of Mecca, Medina and Riyadh.
But sometimes, self-moderation isn't enough. I'll act swiftly and mercilessly when I'm pushed into defending the effectiveness of this site. And at this moment, my patience is wearing thin.
You reap what you sow, kameraden.
Civility and proper debate within that cesspool of Progressive groupthink features an April 16, 2007 diary that includes a video clip from Vanguard News Network, a neo-Nazinews website owned and operated by Alex Linder.
Civility was on display April 5, 2007 when loyal Kosling Bouwerie Boy posted a nice photo for Passover.
Then we have Kosling apparatchik London Yank, writing in his dKos diary that
"Adopting exceptionalism, the major Jewish lobbies no longer sought to advance general principles of tolerance, non-discrimination or equal treatment before the law. Instead they sought narrow preferential treatment for Jews and for Israel that recognises a special status they would deny to other minorities in the American body politic.
Secretly they also mounted campaigns to suppress and harass Arab and Muslim Americans to deny them a voice in the discussion of Middle East issues and development of American foreign policies. The Jewish Defense League engaged in a campaign of terrorism in the United States that largely targeted Arab Americans and their supporters."
Then, there's the example of Kosling civility when it was announced that White House press secretary Tony Snow would be hospitalized for treatment of cancer.
"I honestly do not care if Tony Snow lives or dies. I see him as the propaganda minister for a regime that has perpetrated mass murder, sowed ethnic and religious hatred, and subverted the will of both the American people and the world community. He has used his communication skills to further the agenda of people who have dedicated themselves to nothing less than the systematic dismantling of the Constitution in the name of greed. Make no mistake – the people holding the reigns of power in this administration are evil. And Tony Snow is their front man.
Would anyone have cried if Joseph Goebbels had died a premature death? I doubt it."
According to the July 30, 2007 issue of The Nation magazine, damning photos of a U.S. Soldier using a spoon to literally scoop out the brains of a dead Iraqi and pretending to eat the gray matter were recently acquired.
Of course, everyone is appropriately appalled and make all claims of disgust and finger-wagging. Research shows, however, that such unacceptable behavior happens more often than the United States military wants you to know.
When it comes to training killing machines, the military really does create "an Army of one." The list of serial killers and mass murderers borne from the military is astounding.
Full Metal Jacket's proud support of UT Tower sniper Charles Whitman's marksmanship skills notwithstanding, you just aren't going to hear a whole lot about the training ground of killers that are bred to slaughter, maim, and torture and then dumped on our streets upon their return.
Here are just a few of the more memorable individuals who received the best training in the United States military and returned to prowl our country's streets and commit terrorist attacks of a different nature:
Charles Whitman - former Marine sniper who killed his wife, mother, and then proceeded to the University of Texas Tower and picked off sixteen people using his sniping skills.
Dean Corll - former Army man and serial killer known as the "Candy Man" who killed at least 27 young boys and buried them in a storage facility in Houston, Texas.
David Berkowitz AKA "The Son of Sam" - New York serial killer and former Army vet who shot and killed at least six people during the 1970s.
Jeffrey Dahmer - former Army vet and Milwaukee cannibal who murdered at least sixteen young boys and men. He performed experiments on some of the victims and ate others.
Timothy McVeigh (pictured above)- Former Gulf War Army vet responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing.
The man was due! From the moment of George Bush's miserable existence, the man has been giving it to people. From the rugby player he sucker-punched from behind while in college to the 1000s of Katrina devasted Americans he drowned to our troops whose lives he destroyed (emotionally, family, mentally, financially, and literally), the man has screwed so many billions (literally) of people over that it actually feels to celebrate him taking it in butt for once.
Even if it is only for a routine colonoscopy.
Hell, this made it worth letting Dick Cheney President for a day.
Here's something for the Kooky Kult of Koslam to go into denial about.
Philippine troops defuse bus bomb after U.S. Embassy warning
The bomb — black powder stuffed in a pitcher with steel fragments for deadlier effect — was hidden in a backpack on a bus where it was hastily abandoned by two men late Sunday in southern Maguindanao's Talitay town, regional army spokesman Lt. Col. Julieto Ando said.
Panicking passengers grabbed the bag and hurled it outside the bus. Police and army experts later defused the bomb, which was attached to a timer and batteries but was not yet set to explode, Ando said.
A police investigation was under way to determine whether the foiled bombing was planned by al-Qaida-linked militants, or linked to lingering political wrangling following May 14 congressional and local elections, he said.
The volatile Maguindanao region, where Muslim guerrillas and political warlords hold sway, was hit by bombings and gun attacks because of intense political rivalries during the balloting.
"It's hard to pinpoint who left that bomb in the bus," Ando told The Associated Press by telephone.
Maybe someone working on orders from Karl Rove?
"We had our share of bombings, killings and gun strafing in the recent elections. It's impossible not to have those in an elections here."
We're waiting for leading presidential candidate Ron Paul to link this event to US foreign policy blowback.
I love the smell of internecine warfare in the morning. Usually when Republicans squabble, the drive-by media reports on deep divisions within the party, as if they really care what goes on in the GOP. Now, with Democrats caving on the Iraq funding measure, the far-left fringe is freaking out.
The bitter battle between the Democratic Congress and President Bush over Iraq war funding may be over for now, but another fight has erupted between Democrats and members of the antiwar base who say they were betrayed by their party.
Democratic leaders told their rank-and-file supporters Friday they had no choice but to give up efforts to tie a troop-withdrawal deadline to an emergency appropriations bill. Mr. Bush on Friday signed the bill that pays for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan until the end of the fiscal year, Sept. 30.
Many antiwar activists and bloggers condemned the Democrats' retreat and said their patience with party leadership was wearing thin.
"Today America watched a Democratic Party kick them square in the teeth -- all in order to continue the most unpopular war in a generation," Democratic campaign strategist David Sirota wrote Friday on the left-wing Huffington Post Web site. "We gave them our heart; they gave President Bush a blank check.
"That will make May 24, 2007, a dark day ... when Democrats in Washington not only continued the war they promised to end, but happily went on record declaring that they believe in their hearts that government's role is to ignore the will of the American people," Mr. Sirota wrote.
The Daily Kos, one of the largest antiwar Web sites, also expressed disappointment and anger that leaders such as Democratic Sen. James H. Webb Jr. of Virginia voted to approve funding for the war. But it took some solace in Mr. Webb's statement that he "will not relent from my continuing efforts to bring this occupation to an end."
"They let us down this time. But the opportunities for them to make amends still exist," Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, founder of the Daily Kos, wrote the day after the vote. "If Democrats take advantage of them, as they promise they will, then all might be forgiven. They can prove to us that they in fact know what they are doing, and that they, in fact, do plan on honoring their most sacred promise to the 2006 electorate.
"And if they don't? Well, no one, not even the most rabid partisans, have an endless supply of patience," Mr. Zuniga warned.
They are so filled with hatred, they just can't help themselves (Hat tip: RadicalRon).
Their fearless leader can't understand why Lieberman may hold a grudge (hello!), then the commenters weigh in. It's not pretty.
Given a choice between my dog and Lieberman, I'd gas him without thinking twice.

I know you didn't mean it that way, but a reference to gassing a Jew needs to be hidden. I hope you will join me in asking that this comment be hidden and that there will not be a pile on. I will find some other comments of yours and uprate to make up for this.

You're being a bit hypersensitive and PC here. Dogs get gassed at animal shelters every day. I can name a bunch of other politicians I'd gas over my dog.
