Crestfallen Kos Kid: Weiner Can't Resign Because He Spoke Truth to Power or Something

Taste the delicious tears.
Yes, I know DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi both called for Anthony Weiner's resignation today. Democratic leaders have once again caved to the poutrage on the right by calling for his resignation. Did Anthony Weiner do something inappropriate and distasteful? Sure. Did he do anything illegal? It appears not. Are there plenty of other politicians who have done the same thing and remain in office? You bet your life there are. Should he resign from Congress? Hell No!
Poutrage? Who on the right is pouting over Weiner? We haven't had this much fun in years.

Then we get David Vitter, the rote response from fringe precincts and message boards. They just can't get over David Vitter, reelected in a landslide last year. Give it up, kids.
Right now, serving in the United States Senate is David Vitter. He became infamous when he appeared in the D.C. Madam's black book. Despite this, he was re-elected to the United States Senate last year after initially presenting himself as a typical 'family values conservative.' So while David Vitter gets to stay in the United States Senate, while no one seriously called for his resignation, people are now piling on to call for Anthony Weiner's resignation. Why? Because there are a few pictures? Please, spare us the poutrage.
Oof. Again with the poutrage.

Then we get to the heart of why the angry left is bitterly clinging to their Weiner.
Weiner has consistently spoken truth to power. During the health care debate he was out front calling for single-payer and the public option. Recently he's been the one out front calling for an investigation into Clarence Thomas' non-disclosure of his wife's work for political advocacy organizations. You name a liberal issue, and Anthony Weiner is out front advocating for it. Before this whole mess started, I was hoping that when they redrew the lines in New York I would be drawn into his district. Right now, I'm about a half-mile outside it.
Poor thing, left in a no-man's land. Does he move into Weiner's district now? Wait for redistricting? Hope rehab works? My goodness, the dilemmas facing the Koolaid drinkers.

Apoplectic Olbermann Fans Seeing Black Helicopters Everywhere

After the Keith Olbermann departure from MSNBC last night, apparently because he got too greedy, we noted some of the amusing commentary coming from the left. Well, now the conspiracists are on the case: It's all about freedom of speech being muzzled or something.
Marvin Ammori, a professor at Nebraska Law and a former adviser to media reform group Free Press, said Olbermann's announcement "raises serious concerns" about free speech.
Of course since leaving the Cornell Agriculture School, this man-child has held seemingly dozens of television jobs, so I find it curious that only now there's some sinister motive behind it. Let's face it, the guy lasted seven years longer at MSNBC than anyone expected. Heck, eight years there has to be a record of some kind.
"Comcast proved expert in shaking down the government to approve its merger," he said. "Comcast's shakedown of NBC has just begun."

Merger opponents have previously charged that Comcast would likely tamper with MSNBC, reputed as left-leaning, to maintain a positive business relationship with Fox.

Olbermann, on the other hand, predicted in a tweet last year that the merger would make MSNBC more liberal.
So which is it? Are they more liberal now or silencing free speech?

Of course as with any left-leaning site, the comments are a hoot.
I was just remembering when Richard Clark, Clinton and Bush's terrorism expert, was giving his congressional testimony about how the Bush white house ignored all warnings of 911, COMCAST (at least here in southern Florida) completely blacked out the screen and audio for almost the entirety of his testimony. It was so obvious. It was creepy. Its' the same thing china, etc. does. Now COMCAST/republicans have NBC, and Olbermann is gone in less than a week. We are canceling our Comcast subscription.
The COMCAST/republicans? Oof.

This guy obviously wasn't paying attention when they taught grammar.
I like watching Keith's show it is very informative and is very straight forward unlike Fox News which many of you foolishly watch even though you know you are being lied to makes me think of the war in Iraq a war started basically on lies and was proven so yet we continue to fight there JUST DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.

I respect Keith's journalism so much that I got hooked onto his show i was flipping through the channels a year and a half ago seeing what all the major news networks are talking about off course Fox news just made me switch the channel right away then same thing happened with CNN but not as swift as fox I then turned to MSNBC watched the whole episode of "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" and was immediately hooked not only can I see the true sense of journalism from this guy I can also see what he was bringing to the show was the Truth something foxnews is the opposite of.
Whew. Get all that? Believe it or not, he's just getting started.

Assorted commentary here. Meanwhile, the Kos Kidz are still in high dudgeon the Modern Day Murrow has been silenced.
Like Murrow, KO made too many powerful enemies. Murrow was ultimately dumped by the CBS suits. Whether it was the NBC suits, the Comcast suits, or some combination thereof is of little moment.

What matters here is that one of the most powerful voices we had is now silenced. To make matters worse, he's being silenced about his silencing. Unless and until he is able to discuss his termination publicly, none of us will know what happened here.

They're So Cute When They Get Angry: Kooky Kos Kidz Write Letters Protesting Olbermann Suspension

Temper tantrum turns to comedy gold. Does Phil Griffin realize the rage he's inspired in the drones from The Land of Kos? Well if he reads his email he's sure in for some good laughs.
You need to grow some balls and defend this network’s liberal slant. Or resign and make room for someone who will. It is a service to the country to have at least one network that has the courage and the decency to provide the public with factual news combined with analysis based on liberal values. It provides a much needed perspective that is sorely missing and underrepresented in the public debate. You should not be embarrassed or defensive about providing such an essential service to the country. You should not apologize or feel the need to punish your staff for providing this service. No one in this country is surprised that Olbermann contributed to Democrats. No one will think any less of MSNBC or of Olbermann and his show. It does not at all come as a surprise. The fact that you felt Olbermann should be punished for this means either that you are delusional, unaware that he provides a liberal political perspective that the country is hungry for, or that you are overtly and covertly opposed to this perspective and are exercising your authority for political reasons. This decision only serves to undermine your credibility. It shows you have made a choice to develop news analysis programs with a liberal perspective, but you don’t have the balls to stand by it. Or that you have always been opposed to the liberal perspective but were powerless to prevent your network from going in that direction.

I will not watch MSNBC until Keith is back on the air.
Feel the foot-stomping. Then there's this gem from a "reality-based" commenter.
Phil,
I only watch Keith and Rachel on your network. I am repulsed by Joe Scarborough. It's my understanding that Morning Joe has very low ratings, so I don't know why that show is still on the air.
Keith and Joe both host opinion shows. Keith is not a news reporter or news anchor. Both Keith and Joe donated $ to political candidates. Why wasn't Joe suspended? Double standard!
I won't be watching MSNBC tonight at 8 p.m. as I normally do. Guess I'll check out Parker/Spitzer to see what that show is all about.
Keith better be back on Monday. I know I won't be back to MSNBC is he isn't.
If he desired people be fired for low ratings, none of the shows he watces would be on the air. This irony escapes him.

It appears their strategery is to all go after Joe Scarborough.
Way to treat the fans of your network. Suddenly you’ve discovered that you’re all "honorable" and "ethical" by firing the best host on your station, when Scarborough has also donated to candidates. Did you even issue a warning to the other hosts afterwards? Did you even say ANYTHING to ANYONE after Joe’s donation? Or were you were just waiting like a vulture, ready to pounce, for someone else to do the same. Yeah, quite a lot of much integrity you have, as in zero.

You’ll bend over backwards to protect some of your employees, but not others. I can’t imagine why. Oh yes, it’s OK if you’re a Republican. I don’t watch Morning Joe anymore, haven’t for years, because he makes me sick and Mica is just a dingbat, getting paid tons of money to giggle and say "oh Joe. Oh stop. Oh Joe. Tee hee hee" . Yes, we see where your priorities are. Keith and Rachel are the best thing you’ve got going. You just don’t want an audience do you.
Who is this Mica he speaks of?

This one goes so far as to declare he won't be watching NBC programming of any kind!
Mr. Griffin,

Your decsion to suspend Mr. Olbermann is quite frankly, just what I would expect from a wholly owned subsidiary of the corporate elite and republican party.

Your pet Joe Scarborough is allowed to make political donations since he hosts an "opinion" show, and a lousy one at that. But, Mr. Olbermann is not allowed to make political donations since he hosts an "opinion" show.

Double standard much?

Well I hope it works out for you, but here is what you are losing. One prime member of the beloved 29-54 demographic. Not just MSNBC mind you. All of NBC-Universal properties will now be removed from my remote and all viewing sessions. Be sure to share this with your advertisers, because I will be.

As a matter of fact, since MSNBC is about the only channel I watch beyond movies and sports, and Keith and Rachel the only shows worth watching regularly, I really don't need cable anymore. That should make your future owners happy! One less customer to worry about.

Oh, and the traffic I've been sending to msnbc.com on a daily basis? That's gone too now. I'll use cnn.com instead.

So thanks for the extra time and money! In this economy It is welcome
That ought to scare Griffin. One less moonbat with cable.

Here's some more reality-based thought.
Rachel must be wondering what the right thing to do would be. Does she resign in protest, and thereby save them the trouble of finding an excuse to get rid of her too? Losing her voice would be another terrible blow to progressives. This country needs to hear the other side of things. The air waves should not be exclusively the property of the Republican party.
There's no fixing stupid. Consider:
I say go whole hog on this and hold it up, as loudly as possible, to go after the Republican stranglehold on media.

I'm not obtuse about this, mind you. This kind of shit is why I'm not that big of a fan of the politicking of people like Jon Stewart who hold there to be 'two sides' to the insanity on the airwaves. Sticking Keith in that montage of monsters at the rally really kind of pissed me off.
And. of course, it just devolves from there.
FUCK YOU PHIL GRIFFIN!

Keith did nothing wrong. Fixed News makes millions of contributions and nothing happens!

I've emailed phil. I ended with this,

"On Behalf of everyone at dkos, you have ruined the best thing the MSNBC has to offer. To that, I saym "GO FUCK YOURSELF!"

We need to crash thier email and keep calling until Keith comes back on!
Classy.

Statement from Austin Suicide Pilot

The suicide pilot in Austin has been identified as Joseph Stack.
Authorities said they have identified the pilot as Joseph Andrew Stack.
Here is what one Joe Stack had to say. Consider this his suicide note. read the whole thing. Here's an excerpt.
As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough.

I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less. I would only hope that by striking a nerve that stimulates the inevitable double standard, knee-jerk government reaction that results in more stupid draconian restrictions people wake up and begin to see the pompous political thugs and their mindless minions for what they are. Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn’t so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer. The cruel joke is that the really big chunks of shit at the top have known this all along and have been laughing, at and using this awareness against, fools like me all along.

I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.

Joe Stack (1956-2010)

02/18/2010
Via Twitter.

So he considered Bush a puppet. Let's see the crazies twist this one. Funny, but he doesn't mention tea parties or Obama.

Update: The DUmmies are on to Stack's motivation already.
I find it strange that he keeps referring to the government but never says obama but went out of his way to say bush, would not be surprised if hes deliberately trying to not get labeled a teabagger.

I'm betting 20 bucks hes a teabagger
.
Over at Daily Kos we have this gem.

Teabagger terrorist attack on IRS building
After months of threats on the United States government, and government institutions, the Anti-Government forces known as the teabaggers have struck with their first 911 inspired terrorist attack.

AUSTIN, Texas - A low-flying small plane crashed into an office building that houses the Internal Revenue Service in Texas on Thursday, and officials said they were investigating whether it was an intentional act by the pilot.

rogue robot's diary :: :: I don't believe that I am alone in demanding the President use all means necessary to stop these radical terrorists.
Drew at AoSHQ predicts the fallout:
I still think the media is going to try to portray him as a right-wing nut, and specifically a Tea Partier -- since the Tea Party is formally nonpartisan, they can more easily tag him as being a "Teabagger type" and not sweat the actual politics, which seem LaRouchian and/or Paulian.

We're about to see the media double-standard in starkest terms. They would not discuss Amy Bishop's politics -- which were inarguably left-wing and goofy -- but we're going to hear endlessly about this lunatic crank's politics. Which aren't even right-wing -- he's ripping politicians for not doing anything about health care, for example.

It's rare that we have two analogous, directly-comparable cases occur so soon upon the heels of each other. So this will be a remarkably enlightening case study.
BTW, the Kos Kid redacted the headline above before I could get a screengrab. The loony text stands.

Thanks to Drew, Allahpundit and Instapundit for the links.

The FBI has taken down Stack's manifesto but TSG has screenshots of it.

Update: Allahpundit notes a breathtakingly dishonest dispatch from the Washington Post, where the "writer" in question is getting shredded in the comments. Says AP:
Follow the link and note the parts of the manifesto quoted by Capehart. Yes, of course the anti-Bush rhetoric and screeching about health care is omitted, but something even more revealing is omitted too. Here’s how Stack’s manifesto actually ended:

Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.

Joe Stack (1956-2010)

02/18/2010

And here’s how Capehart quotes the ending:

Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

Joe Stack (1956-2010)

02/18/2010
What’s missing?
Capehart will probably be spreading his nonsense on MSNBC tonight.

Further reaction here.

It's safe to say we can officially coin the phrase Tea Party Derangement Syndrome.

Also, via Andy Levy, Stack apparently left a bomb in a vehicle at the airport where he departed (H/T Ace).

Baby Chimps As Smart As the Average Kos Kid

OK, well the story actually says the chimps are as intelligent or even more advanced than infants, but then again, that's who we're dealing with.
CHIMPANZEES have long been known for their ability to mimic humans. Now scientists have found that baby chimps’ mental development can even be more advanced than children of the same age.

At nine months, the animals are just as curious and capable of recognising carers and familiar objects as the average baby. When compared with infants kept in isolated conditions in orphanages, the animals are even more advanced.

The scientists who carried out the research believe their research also provides valuable evidence that chimpanzees, like humans, thrive on social interaction. The more intimate their contact with their carers, the faster their brains develop.

Chimpanzees share about 96% of their DNA with humans. An adult chimp’s level of intelligence has been likened to that of a three-year-old child.

The new research shows that in their early lives, they develop along similar lines to people before humans race ahead.

“Nursery-reared chimpanzees . . . exhibited distress (screaming and crying) in those episodes when they were separated from their favourite caregiver and . . . [touched their toys] when their favourite caregiver was present,” says the study by scientists at Portsmouth University and Leiden University, Holland.

'I Still Think That Trig Is Bristol's Kid, Even If It Doesn't Matter'

No, this isn't from the fevered mind of Andrew Sullivan. I doubt even he'd say something so stupid. It's from a Kos Kid. Mind-boggling stupidity, even by Kos standards. A Trig Troofer now morphs into a Tripp Troofer.
I'm new to Kos. I suspect there are a lot of new people here. For me it started with Sarah Palin's
baby . Was it her's, yes it was, no it wasn't. All over the Net I searched. For some reason it just really intriqued me. Imagine, the audicity to pawn your daughters baby off as your own.

It wouldn't be such a big deal, probably done alot, for insurance or personal family reasons.
But not when you are a Governer of a State, and then you are running for VP.

I stumbled upon Kos. Who had the best, most imformative info on this bizzaro story. Well, we all know where that went. Sarah Palin announces her daughter is 5 months pregnant, and Kos crashed. But you know, I still think that Trig is Bristol's kid, even if it doesn't matter.

Now she is gonna get $300.000 for the baby pics. But did we ever see one photo of her pregnant. That is a big fat no....

Shit, sorry I ran on about the exciting lives of the Wassilla Hillbillies. I meant to ask the question, after that what kept me coming back to Kos. At first I hovered over at Huffington Post, and Kos.

But did you notice at Huffington your comments are always pending. Or at least mine were,
so it just got boring waiting for your comment to turn up.

Plus, at Huiffngton if they got bored, they would write sarcastic peices, but it was kind of confusing. Almost like the Enquirer, which I actually llke, I mean they get the shit on people. But even Enquirer could not crack the Trig baby mystery. Just bitch slapped myself. Stop bringing up that baby! But you know there is one more thing that really bugs me about the whole baby thing. So Bristol has that baby pretty much right on schedule, but we never saw her again after they announced her preggers, and the convention, with daddy to be in tow.

Sooo, what if she actually didn't have a baby at all, and they just scrambled around, and adopted a baby, from another woman/girl. Now that's crazy thinking, but come on, Sarah Palin isn't worried about a little thing called the truth.
This idiot should really seek psychiatric help.

The new year may be young, but we may have found the dumbest Kos Kid post of 2009 already.

When In Doubt, Blame Bush For Gaza

After eight years of blaming Bush for everything, it's just by reflex now that he gets blamed for Israel properly defending itself against ongoing rocket attacks by the terror gang Hamas.

Naturally, this simpleton at Daily Kos goes the intellectually lazy route.
1. They have been unable to calm down the Israeli government and to convince them to minimize their actions.

2. They have exaggerated extreme feelings in the Arab world that resulted in Palestinians switching to Hamas instead of the much more moderate Fatah.

3. They have provided zero (0, null) leadership in the middle east.

4. They have given the wrong example by violating international law and randomly destroying another country (Iraq).

5. They are incompetent to handle international crises.

6. They suck in general.
Such keen insight.

Speaking of simpletons, E&P publisher Greg Mitchell, living in an absolute fantasy world, actually believes the American media is slanted in favor on Israel. Good grief, do these people have any clue? Apparently not.

Now I wonder why there isn't any outrage on the "Arab street" over the fact Egypt is opening fire on Palestinians? Is that also Bush's fault?

Others, meanwhile, lament that poor Barack Obama is a victim.

Kos Kidz Still Sniffing Glue

How else can you explain this?
It is, perhaps, the most exciting part of the Legacy Content being created by our new President-Elect. Love returns to the highest office in the world, and its healing power washes over every human being. If the aliens are watching, they will surely see a change in the energy field. Which leads me to a question.

Which comic book characters have the healthiest relationships, and what superheroes do Barack and Michelle Obama most closely embody with their love?
Apparently not all the Kos Kidz are feeling the love.
Been feeling angry, fearful, sad, or depressed, lately? I have. I remember the joy I felt on election night, and how that joy came crashing down when I woke up the next morning to the reality of California's Prop 8 having passed. It blew me away. I had been talking to my sister in the weeks leading up to the vote of possibly moving out there with her so that me and my boyfriend of nearly nineteen years could get married. To straight people out there, imagine being with your boyfriend or girlfriend for nineteen years. Who has a boyfriend that long? Imagine never being able to call, by law, your boyfriend or girlfriend your spouse, and imagine that was the case because people who hated you spend millions to tell your neighbors every lie in the book about you.
I guess handling defeat like an adult is out of the question.

Kos Kidz in Panic As Internal Obama Poll Shows Pennsylvania in Virtual Dead Heat

The kiddies are worried. They had their hopes set so high our "spirits would be crushed" and this just doesn't help portray the notion we're looking at a landslide come election day.

What these morons don't understand is that those of us in the real world don't mope and whine like they do and have our "spirits crushed" when our candidate loses. We get up, go to work and MoveOn with our lives, unlike those whiny pissants on the left.
Apparently, Obama's internals were leaked to a radio talk show host in Scranton. they show Obama up by only 2 in PA.

Steve Corbett, a radio talk show host in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, accidentally received a copy of an internal email sent by Grant Olin who heads the Wilkes-Barre headquarters of the Obama campaign. The email went to 627 Obama campaign volunteers in the Wilkes-Barre Scranton region, saying that Obama Headquarters reported an internal poll which shows that Obama is only 2 points up in Pennsylvania.

Sean Smith, who is heading Obama’s Pennsylvania campaign, was interviewed by Steve Corbett via phone at 5:35 today to discuss this. He said that Grant "went rogue", and aknowledged that Grant was "reprimanded" for this.
I guess "reprimanded" in the Age of Obama will be something along the lines of re-education camps. Or five mintes alone with the angry Michelle, whichever is worse.
This has caught on like wildfire in the right wing blogs and seems to have raised their spirits.

This is important because, if it is true, it undermines the argument that we have a substantial partyId advantage this year.

A partyId of at least +6 this year seems reasonable, as many pollsters are showing. Many rightwingers are arguing that the breakdown should be a push, like 2004, which is ridiculous. However the rumor of +2 in PA reinforces their argument. And that's the last hope they have left.

We need to get on this story as soon as possible before it spreads any further. I don't want them to have any hope left, Let's crush their spirits!
Ace has more.

It would serve Obama right to lose Pennsylvania considering he insulted them as bitter clingers and that maniac John Murtha is out there calling them racist rednecks.

Kos Kid Urges McCain to Kill Himself

One of the most illiterate items I've ever read, so I'll assume this is a fair representation of your average Kos Kid.
So for the McCain campaign to start digging up OLD NEWS and tring to sell it as NEW, I don't think that it will work. The American People aren't THAT DUMB (althought I do believe that most lack some intelligence). This is "TACTIC" will FAIL! Hey John that last BULLET YOU GO IN THE YOUR GUN USE IT ON YOURSELF!
How long until this goes down the memory hole?

Off the Rails: Kos Kidz Tie Palin to al Qaeda

That John McCain, he's so feeble. Doesn't he realize with a simple Google search he could put two degrees of separation between the Palins and Osama bin Laden?

Hey, who's vetting these candidates?
I just obtained this info. and need help getting it to go viral. AIP Is not a harmless group. It seems that they are tied to terrorist. Please help this go viral. If this was a Dem. Candidate, this would be on the msm 24/7.
...
Because John McCain has not learned how to ‘watch the internet’ or ‘use the Google,’ it has been left to the public to vet Sarah Palin for him. I was curious what shady types would attend separatist conventions, such as the one in Tennessee, where the AIP Vice Chairman Dexter Clark extolled the virtues of their candidate Sarah Palin. http://www.latimes.com/... I expected that hatred for the American Federal Government would bring white supremacists (as speculated in the Daily Kos: http://larry-madill.dailykos.com/ ) and small time individual hate criminals into their circus tent. But I did not expect AIP to link itself to a foreign terrorist group personally funded by Osama Bin Laden, that has been merging into Al Qaeda for years, is linked to 4 of the 9/11 hijackers, and other Al Qaeda attacks. That’s right, the Palins are only 2 or 3 degrees removed from the man that McCain swears he would pursue to the gates of hell (Osama Bin Laden).
Bless their crazy hearts. They somehow believe the media is shielding the Republicans.

Let's see if Andrew Sullivan bites.

I knew with the devastating poll numbers the left would become even more unglued. Here's more than enough evidence.

Random thought: You don't suppose Keith Olbermann's affiliation with this fetid swamp of moonbattery had anything to do with his demotion, do you?

'Let's Get Back to President Barack Obama'

Poor little Kos Kid. He misses his Baracky.
I love a good riddle as much as the next Kossack. However, there's a limit to how many times I want to see Palin's name under the Rec list. There's a limit to how many stories I want to hear about her children, her dog, or her brother-in-law. Honestly, I don't give a damn.

What matters to me is Barack Obama and HIS race for the presidency. I miss hearing about the man who drew me to this community in the first place.

I can't help but feel that Mcsame is getting exactly what he wanted with his "history-making" VP selection. Don't get caught up in the Sarah hype. Let's get back to President Barack Obama.
Maybe if you douchebags didn't smear her from day one, she wouldn't have gotten so much attention.

Nitwits.

'We Look Stupid Pushing This Rumor'

Understatement of the year, courtesy of the Kos Kidz.

They now walking this one back, desperately trying to save face after three days of pushing the most ridiculous story, maybe ever, into the political discussion.

They still can't even get basic facts straight, however.
Unless someone has counter evidence, we can drop this crap now. Yes, there are still some interesting questions, such as why she flew to Dallas and back when she was this pregnant, and why the Alaska Airlines crewmembers insisted that she was not visibly pregnant on the flight. Nevertheless, until this photo is debunked, we look stupid pushing this rumor.

That is all.
Naturally, some of the idiot commenters can't let go.

The GOP Hates Women So Much They Decide to Put One On the Ticket

The Kos Kidz are so cute when they project. Much less cuter when you try to figure out what torments these psychopaths so much.

Anyway, this one jumps to the head of the pack for unhinged nutroots blogpost of the day, although the day is very young still.

I think the essence of it is Republicans hate women so much so they put one on the presidential ticket. Or something like that.
Instead, the amalgam of cranks, kooks and lunatics, whose religious beliefs must be mine or else, who are frustrated by the demise of the Soviet Union as a cause to rally against, or even declare war on, who tried to run the last Democratic president out of office by a hypocrisy that was breathtaking (they impeached him!!! but couldn't find one member of their party willing to question why their President was reading books to schoolchildren and vacationing after receiving information of a impeding attack on this country), pretends to be outraged that Senator Obama did not pick the admirable Senator Clinton as his running mate, and offers the governor of a state who has served for two years and tells us that experience makes her more qualified than Senator Obama to be president.
So much psychosis, all jammed into one sentence.

You know you have a serious psychological imbalance when the guy calls both Paul Krugman and John Kerry brilliant.

Kos Kid: 'Michelle Obama Captures Your Inner Being'

You can't make this stuff up. An angry America-hating shrew gets up and pretends she cares about America, and the gullible rubes lap it up.
Michelle Obama will be famous in her own right. Even if Barack Obama never reaches his goal of the Presidency, I strongly feel that Michelle will someday be in the history books. She gives a speech that comes from the heart, mind and soul. Her words capture you inner being and won't let go till she's decided to release you.
...
This speech was not about the ‘race’ of the candidate and his family or how tall they are or how short they are. It wasn’t about how Hillary made history. It was about a family of four that is willing to give up a very precious part of their lives so that others may live a bit easier. Please, can’t you give them the respect they deserve – at least for an evening?
If that's the case, why is George Hussein Obama living in a ramshackle hut?

Update: Apparently, while the Stepford Obama was capturing your inner being she was channeling her inner Communist.

Either the MSM is too stupid to figure this out or they're complicit in concealing this from the public. Either way, they're guilty.

Fever Swamps: McCain Has Alzheimers, Will Retire and Make Lieberman President

Nothing like an early morning dose of raging anti-Semitism to get the day started.

This is one sick Kos Kid, quoting this dubious source. Of course, they haven't quite figured out the part where McCain makes Lieberman his running mate and wins the election first, but why quibble with minor details when you have such hatred?
"Such heart-warming news! High level Republican associates here are talking about the latest ploy on the part of the State of Israel to gain complete control of the United States government. Their idea is to offer the diseased McCain unlimited support from their papers and television stations in return for his putting Joe Lieberman on the ticket as vice president. As McCain is known to be seriously ill and will soon be unable to function, the plan will be for him to retire "for reasons of health" and then Joe Lieberman, loud and persistent Israeli supporter, will step into the Oval Office and America will have her first (unelected) Jewish president. And a firmly dedicated Zionist at that! Many GOP people say putting Lieberman on the ticket will ruin any chance McCain has at the White House. Why? His obvious mental confusion? No, the American public is becoming seriously anti-Semitic and anti-Israel and if McCain attempts to support a universal draft (as he is dead set on doing) and has a rabid Zionist as a running mate, his fall will be great and he will drag the shattered remnants of the Republican Party with him. Thank God!"
Cue the Twilight Zone theme.

Naturally, the comments are filled with wild-eyed tales of dementia and senility.

Despondent Kos Kid: 'If It Were Up To Me, John Edwards Would Be Choosing a Running Mate Today'

The "reality-based community" weighs in on the Joe Biden selection, wondering with bewilderment where his text message is.
Getting all my requisite truths out of the way, suffice it to say I've been wrong on some of my guesses this past year-and-a-half and definitely have shown my lack of expertise in the ways of vanquishing primary opponents and nay-sayers.

If it were up to me, John Edwards would be choosing a running mate today... amidst a chorus of whispers that he has a mistress.

Or, Barack Obama would have already chosen John Edwards as his running mate... amidst a chorus of whispers that he has a mistress.

Or, Barack would've pounced on McCain a lot sooner instead of waiting for the watermelon goodness of a pitch that housegate is and will continue to be as it trickles down to the lo-infos. Nice swing on that one, Barry... you didn't peak too soon because I'm not running the show.

There are more, but when those caveats are depleted the only thing I can do with this morning's news is yawn.

First and foremost, I haven't received my text message so I know not what curveball we may have in store for us. I DO get the feeling that a campaign that has run it's tech operation as fluidly as a Michael Phelps launch has a twist in store for us in the next two to three hours.

That, or it has egg on its face for firing too late and letting the hornet's nest of a media swarm around it after it was poked all this past week and is desperately mad at being played. I have to believe the media is still being played. I hope this is not my River in Egypt moment because if it is, it's a turnoff. BO didn't call ME first and he picked Uncle Joe to boot!

I know he doesn't need a rock star beside him because he already is one. I also know that Biden is good with the spoken and written word and that is a wieldy skill that's going to be needed in the real world.

But we don't live in the real world. We live in America... where fucktards rule and the educated are shunned. So this choice is a yawn. I don't feel it's right to have to appeal to sheeples who know nothing of policy and who just want their government to wrap it's national security arms around them, but it's necessary to peel away a few at the ballot box.
Meanwhile, look for this post by Kos himself to disappear down the memory hole before long.
Really, if we live in a just world, this will be the end of Joe Biden's political career.
Whoops.

Apparently, the head genius over at the swamp hasn't gotten the news yet.
This has been the best veep rollout EVER. But alas, all good things must come to an end.
...
Brilliant! We've got a lot of campaign a head of us, but this has been the Obama campaign's finest operation thus far.
D'oh!

Just so happens the media knew first.

What a rube.

Other assorted Kos Kid reaction: Biden? Is this some kind of sick joke?

Then they pretend there's silence from the GOP. I guessed they missed this ad.

Finally, there's this head-spinning reaction: Biden's Anti-Obama and Pro-McCain Statements Can Benefit Obama

Sure. Keep believing that.

Kos Kook: Hannity Is Afraid to Debate Me

These people take themselves so seriously. As if a national radio broadcaster is going to open his microphone to some unhinged weirdo full of bluster.
Over the past few weeks, John McCain's chief surrogate Sean Handy Hannity has been relentlessly, unfairly, and untruthfully attacking Barack Obama daily and has extended his smears to Michelle. Yet John McCain continues to embrace this wingnut who caters to vile bigots like Ann Coulter, Jesse Lee Peterson, and Jerome Corsi.

Last week, in Berea, Ohio, Obama called Hannity out and suggested that a 68 year old man named Mr. Burgess would tear him up in a debate. So Hannity put the man on his show for 15 minutes and Mr. Burgess, nice as he was, was unprepared for the litany of smears.

Hannity demands that Obama debate him for 3 hours. By bringing up Hannity, Obama either astutely realizes the DFQ theory that making Hannity the face of conservatism leads to permanent Democratic majorities or Obama made a tactical error by suggesting that someone else debate Hannity.

Regardless, Hannity does not get this talking point.
It gets funnier.

Memo to the Kos Kooks: There's this little thing on your radio known as a dial. If you don't like to listen to "smears" then change the station.

Kos Kook: Colombian Hostage Rescue was Staged

Some supersleuth at the asylum has it all figured out.

How the rest of the world missed out on this is a mystery.
Why did this happen just after McCain inexplicably went to Colombia when you think he'd be campaigning in Ohio or Indiana? Was McCain the bagman or the messenger? Was this an attempt by Karl Rove and others to try and give McCain a good photo-op for November? (If so this will backfire.)
I knew they'd finger McCain for it. I'm surprised it took this long.

Not for nothing, but I am sounding prophetic.
It's McCain's July surprise. By the end of the weekend, the nutroots will have this a full-blown conspiracy.

Kos Kid Shows The Love For Russert: 'Burn in Hell, Tim Russert, You Talentless Lackey'

A nice Father's Day present.

Even by Kos standards, low enough as they are, this is just an abomination.
I am not mourning this 5 million-dollar-a-year talking head, felled by his own obesity. How is it that in this world of suffering, we are expected to weep for a talentless and filthy rich tv prince? It is an example of false consciousness, like the frenzy over Princess Di's death.

Actually, I kind of miss the big-nosed princess, a cute young woman with a wild streak who raised some money for charities and had a penchant for embarrassing the british monarchy. What was Russert? A lackey, a fraud, a dim-bulb lazy establishment gatekeeper, paid five million dollars a year to delude us into thinking that jibber-jabber over campaigns was real journalism, at a time when actual journalists are getting laid off left and right.

His interviews were lazy. His method was to read critical editiorials from the Washington Post or the Wall Street Journal at a politician (frequently stumbling over words) and then to ask the politician to respond. Because Russert was too dumb to formulate a logical follow-up question, he would simply restate the gist of that editorial and once again ask the politician to respond, again and again. But he did perk up and object when a guest dared to assert that Cheney had linked 911 and Iraq in the run up to the Iraq war. In fact, Cheney had done so on Russert's own show.
Classy.
