Another Obama Failure: Weatherizing Program Creates Zero Jobs in Alaska, Wyoming and DC

These clowns can't even install windows but we expect they can run our healthcare system? Good luck with that.
After a year of crippling delays, President Barack Obama's $5 billion program to install weather-tight windows and doors has retrofitted a fraction of homes and created far fewer construction jobs than expected.

In Indiana, state-trained workers flubbed insulation jobs. In Alaska, Wyoming and the District of Columbia, the program has yet to produce a single job or retrofit one home. And in California, a state with nearly 37 million residents, the program at last count had created 84 jobs.
Wow, 84 jobs for 37 million people.

The stimulus is working!
The program was a hallmark of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, a way to shore up the economy while encouraging people to conserve energy at home. But government rules about how to run what was deemed to be a ''shovel-ready'' project, including how much to pay contractors and how to protect historic homes during renovations, have thwarted chances at early success, according to an Associated Press review of the program.

''It seems like every day there is a new wrench in the works that keeps us from moving ahead,'' said program manager Joanne Chappell-Theunissen. She has spent the past several months mailing in photographs of old houses in rural Michigan to meet federal historic preservation rules. ''We keep playing catch-up.''

The stimulus package gave a jolt to the decades-old federal Weatherization Assistance Program. Weatherization money flows from Washington to the states, where it is passed to local nonprofits that hire contractors to spread insulation and install efficient heaters in people's homes.

Energy officials said the stimulus infusion is on track to create thousands of career-pathway jobs and support an industry that lowers carbon emissions while saving consumers money.

''This is the beginning of the next industrial revolution with the explosion of clean energy investments,'' said assistant U.S. Energy Secretary Cathy Zoi. ''These are good jobs that are here to stay.''
Good jobs that are here to stay, except for those states where zero jobs were created.
But after a year, the stimulus program has retrofitted 30,250 homes -- about 5 percent of the overall goal -- and fallen well short of the 87,000 jobs that the department planned, according to the latest available figures.
In more important news, the genius president managed to correctly pick a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Is there anything he can't do?

Sniveling Pantload Weiner Whines About Sarah Palin

The whiny New York girlyman is trembling at the sight of a strong, powerful woman. She could probably fire off a few rounds with one hand while bitchslapping this pantywaist with the other.
Rep. Anthony Weiner says Sarah Palin doesn't seem to get that kooks might take her gun-sight imagery about fighting pro-health reform Democrats to dangerous extremes.

Weiner slammed the ex-Alaska governor and Republican veep candidate a day after his office got an envelope with a threatening note and a sinister-looking white powder.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said yesterday that tests showed the substance was probably ground-up antacid.

Palin earlier this week posted a map on her Facebook page with cross hairs over the districts of 20 House seats she wants conservatives to win, and told subscribers to her Twitter feed, "Don't Retreat, Instead - RELOAD!"

Appearing with former running mate Sen. John McCain at a re-election campaign event for him in Arizona yesterday, Palin said the heat she took was a "ginned-up controversy" aimed at "common sense conservatives" by the media.

"We know violence isn't the answer," Palin said. "When we take up our arms, we're talking about our votes. . . . Don't let the conversation be diverted."

Weiner told CNN that while Palin's "language about targeting someone and being in the cross hairs was a metaphor to her, to a twisted mind, it really might be the sign that they should go ahead and do something more violent."
These chicken littles apparently are planning to milk these bogus acts of "violence" for all it's worth.

This little worm apparently forgot it's his president who's famous for telling his supporters to get in people's faces. I guess we should worry that some twisted kooks on the left might go ahead and do something violent.

Chicago Cabbie Linked to al Qaeda

They sure do know how to grow those terrorists in Chicago. I wonder if this guy knows Bill Ayers?
Federal authorities say they've unearthed a Chicago taxi driver's plot to send money to al-Qaida as part of an undercover investigation that involved secretly recording the man in his own cab as recently as two weeks ago.

Raja Lahrasib Khan, a taxi driver who claimed he had ties to Ilyas Kashmiri, an alleged terrorist leader in Pakistan, was arrested Friday.

Khan, 56, a Pakistan native, also allegedly discussed with an associate attacking a stadium in the United States this summer.

Authorities said, though, that there was no imminent danger.
The greatest danger these days, of course, is outraged teabaggers and their "wave" of violence against Democrats.
On March 11, Khan allegedly told an associate that in August, bags containing remote-controlled bombs could be put in several locations at a "large stadium" and then "boom, boom, boom, boom," according to court records.

Authorities say that March 17, Khan accepted $1,000 from an undercover FBI agent who had met with Khan five times. All of the meetings were audio recorded and one was video recorded, according to the charges. The agent posed as someone wanting to send money to a terror leader through Khan, officials say.

Khan was arrested Friday morning by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force while he was working in downtown Chicago.

He was held without bond Friday after he was charged with two counts of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, for allegedly trying to send money overseas to al-Qaida. He was held after federal prosecutors said he was a danger to the community and a flight risk.

He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1988.

In the charging documents, authorities say Khan "learned that Kashmiri was working with al-Qaida and that Kashmiri was purportedly receiving orders from al-Qaida's leader, Osama bin Laden."
On the upside, he has no known ties to tea party activists so move along, nothing much to see here.

The Cost of 'Free' Health Care

ObamaCare sure is looking expensive.
AT&T on Friday said it will record a $1 billion non-cash expense in the first quarter related to the newly passed health-care law, joining a growing list of large U.S. companies.

The AT&T write-down is the largest reported so far. Caterpillar this week recorded a $100 million charge in the first quarter and Deere & Co. said it will report a one-time $150 million expense. See previous story on industries that say warn health reform will cost them.

Among its many changes, the new health-care law eliminated a tax deduction that companies used to cut the cost of drug-benefit programs for retired workers. President Obama signed the massive health-care overhaul into law earlier this week in a big victory for ruling Democrats.

Yet companies that still offer retiree drug benefits, mostly older industrial concerns or those with unionized employees, say the end of the deduction could force them to alter their benefit plans. In other words, they might curtail or even cancel them.

"As a result of this legislation, including the additional tax burden, AT&T will be evaluating prospective changes to the active and retiree health care benefits offered by the company," AT&T said in a filing with the government on Friday.
So the upshot is many retirees are potentially going to lose their employer provided prescription benefits and be put into the Medicare system. At exactly the same time, the Democrats are cutting $500 billion out of Medicare to help pay for ObamaCare. In other words, they are increasing demand and cutting supply of health care services

Can you say trainwreck? I knew you could.

Seems to me that the Democrats see the elderly and infirm as a "shovel-ready" project.

And this is only the beginning.

Maybe They Need a Pay Czar at the NY Times

Nice to see top executives at the New York Times are rewarding themselves so handsomely while slashing jobs and union benefits at their operations.

Based on the sagging performance of the Times, these jokers should be giving money back.
Those paydays that New York Times Co. Chairman Arthur Sulzberger and President Janet Robinson received last year are once again coming back to haunt them.

The Boston Newspaper Guild, which absorbed more than $10 million in pay and benefit cuts to members last year in order to save The Boston Globe, has lashed out at the Sulzberger and Robinson 2009 bonuses and are demanding their lost wages and benefits be restored.

"We were astonished to learn that the two of you received more than $10 million in stock awards and options in 2009," the Guild wrote in an open letter urging its members to send to Sulzberger and Robinson. "During the year for which you were so richly rewarded, the 600 members of the Boston Newspaper Guild gave back almost the same amount in pay and benefit reductions -- $10 million to be exact -- after you threatened to close our newspaper, lay off hundreds of people, and strip Massachusetts of its largest newspaper."

"Now that the Times has shown it can afford to lavish so much on a few top executives, we expect our pay and benefit cuts will be restored in the coming months."

The Times Co. declined to comment.

The company raised eyebrows earlier this month when it revealed in a company filing that the pair of execs got higher bonuses in 2009, a year in which the company not only threatened to shut down the Globe, but also imposed a 5 percent pay cut on Times journalists and laid off employees.

Robinson's base salary and options for last year totaled $6.2 million, a 32 percent hike from a year earlier. Sulzberger netted $5.9 million, also up 32 percent from 2008. The increases came even though their base salaries held at $962,500 for Robinson and $1 million for Sulzberger.

When word first surfaced about the bump-up in pay, a Times spokeswoman said the increases were driven predominantly by "payouts under performance-based bonus plans with pre-set goals."

Prostidude Now Out of Work

Another victim of the Obama recession. Hard to figure out why the ladies aren't lining up to pay to have sex with a guy who looks like Kos.
Talk about falling on hard times.

The 25-year-old beefy ex-Marine who put the "dude" in prosti-dude has reportedly decided to call it quits after getting fewer than 10 customers over the past three months.

Markus -- the first man ever hired by Bobbi Davis to work at her Shady Lady bordello located about 150 miles outside Las Vegas -- has been put on the sidelines in favor of another gigolo in his mid-30s who performs under the name "Y. Not."

Though the Nye County brothel had temporarily stopped servicing women, Davis said she isn't ready to give up on her groundbreaking foray into male prostitution -- hoping for a happy ending at some point.

Great News: Party Crashers Get TV Gig

Who said obnoxious behavior doesn't pay?
The White House gatecrashers are being rewarded for their cheesy chutzpah with a gig on reality TV.

Michaele Salahi, 44, will be one of the "Real Housewives of D.C.," the Daily Beast reported Friday.

That means we'll also be seeing a lot of Salahi's pudgy husband, Tareq, 41, in the upcoming Bravo series.

The Virginia-based social climbers got the instant fame they'd been craving when they bluffed their way into President Obama's first State Dinner last November.

The Bravo cameras were already trailing the Salahis and recorded some of the stunt, which ultimately cost White House social secretary Desiree Rogers her job.

The fakers were even photographed doing the grip and grin with an unsuspecting Obama.

The Secret Service didn't realize they'd been snookered until after Michaele Salahi posted photos of the herself at the fete on her Facebook page.

"These people should not have gotten through the gate," an irked Obama later said in a "60 Minutes" interview.
At least they got a photo with Obama. More than can be said for Bibi Netanyahu.

Obama Not Treating Terrorism as a Legal Matter, Either

The Justice Department, in a vain attempt to rebut the criticism leveled at them by Republicans--most notably the Cheneys--have published a chart showing 403 cases being prosecuted or that have been prosecuted involving terrorism-related charges.

Just one thing, though. While perusing the database, because that's what I do, I noticed something strange. There are either far fewer folks trying to kill us or else the Justice Department has really slacked off pursuing the bad guys. This became apparent when looking at the arrest date and noticing that they dropped off precipitously starting in 2008. In fact, since the election of Barry O, who we know is sympathetic to bombers, there have been only seven arrests.

I guess the Dems are right to be outraged by the criticism that they are treating terrorism as a law enforcement matter, since according to the Justice Department's own figures it is obvious they don't. I don't think it is because the followers of the Religion of Peace™ are any less fervent in their desire to destroy western civilization.

Another interesting tidbit is that while Lynne Stewart, the terrorist enabling leftist lawyer, is on the list, the Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hassan is not.

Convictions In Kentucky Voting Fraud Case

Last year about this time I posted a story about charges that were filed in Clay County, Kentucky involving a case of out and out voter fraud. We aren't talking voter registration here, but actual manipulation of the vote. Well, the verdict has come in. Guilty on all charges.
A jury convicted a former judge and seven others on Thursday of scheming to buy votes for several local offices in an eastern Kentucky county.

The jury in U.S. District Court in Frankfort deliberated for nine hours over two days before convicting all eight people in a federal racketeering conspiracy. Those convicted on Thursday included former Circuit Judge R. Cletus Maricle and former school Superintendent Douglas C. Adams.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the jury also convicted several of the defendants on other charges, including mail fraud, extortion and laundering money that was used to buy votes.
Of course the reporting on this is another classic example of Name That Party, a game that has become a favorite in bars and frat houses all around the country. I however have this little portion from earlier reporting on the matter.
According to the indictment, Democratic election commissioner Charles Wayne Jones and election officer William E. Stivers helped extort money from candidates. In some cases, candidates were apparently asked to pool money so votes could be bought.
Anybody who self-identifies themselves as a Democrat ought to face some serious challenges in the job market. You are known by the company you keep, and so far the Democrats sure are proving themselves to be a bunch of tax cheats, liars, and schemers. I don't think I would want anybody working for me that expressed an affinity for the Democrats.

However, it does appear that maybe the Democrats healthcare plan is enabling blind people to see.
Briggs said 78 people asked for help in that election because they were blind, but investigators found nearly 40 had a license to drive. Many drove to London after the FBI asked them to come for interviews, Briggs testified.
Update: The article I originally linked to was the AP version of events. I have found the actual reporting of this scandal from the local paper, and they don't play the game, along with giving a chronology of the story and mugshots.

I'm Willing to Become a Multimillionaire

Well, as long as my wife was OK with it. Besides, I'm going to need a lot of extra scratch to afford my free healthcare.
Is sleeping with a stranger for one million dollars an indecent proposal? Not really, according to one-third of people in a recent sex survey who said they'd bed a stranger for a cool million.

The survey question, which calls to mind the plot of 1993's "Indecent Proposal" starring Robert Redford and Demi Moore, was part of a poll in Britain by condom company Durex that asked 12,000 people about their sex habits.

Almost 30 percent of respondents said they "could be bought for sex" for a million-dollar payout - but nearly half said they'd never accept such an offer. Fewer than 15percent said they would have sex with a stranger for just $100,000.

She Should Be Happy Someone Noticed Her

The things these low-rated MSNBC hosts do for attention.
Liberal TV lioness Rachel Maddow is demanding an apology from GOP U.S. Sen. Scott Brown for raising campaign dough on scuttlebutt she’s planning to run against him in 2012 - a false rumor that was actually trumped up by Bay State Democrats.

“The idea that the Democrats are to blame for this doesn’t even make sense. It’s ridiculous,” Maddow told the Herald yesterday. “Scott Brown made this up in order to make money off my name and likeness and I think he should stop. And I think he should apologize.”

Maddow, who lives in western Massachusetts, called Brown a “creep” in a planned MSNBC newspaper ad scheduled to run today and slammed him for sending out a nationwide fund-raising letter this week “smearing me to raise money for himself.”
Now mentioning someone in a fundraising letter is a smear? Good grief, get over yourself. Maybe she should take it up with the idiots that started it.
However, the rumor sprang from a Facebook page launched by a liberal Northhampton radio host, was fueled by a mysterious tweet from the state Democratic party chairman and got pumped up as recently as Wednesday by the state’s Democratic governor.

Earlier this month, radio yakker Bill Dwight and another man created a Facebook page titled “Rachel Maddow for U.S. Senator from Massachusetts in 2012.”

A few days later, John Walsh, chairman of the state Democratic Party, sent a curious “tweet” to his Twitter followers that included his contact information and read, “Some are talking about you running vs Scott Brown in ’12.”
But hey, let's just bash Scott Brown for it.

Friendly Reminder: Turn On All Your Lights at 8:30 Saturday Night

Combat the Earth Hour moonbattery by turning on all your lights tomorrow night. Also, if you have any heavy equipment, it may be a good time to see if they're still operating properly. All home appliances should be tested at that time, turn on the washing machine and make sure all your television sets are on. Maybe use the DVD player while you're at it.

Let's see a surge while these clowns are in the dark.
The countdown to Earth Hour is on. This weekend, on Saturday March 27, everyone world-wide is being asked to shut off the lights for one hour at 8:30 p.m. local time, wherever they may be. We're talking homes, businesses and government agencies all around the world. It's part of an eco-conscious effort to draw awareness to climate-change by halting energy consumption for one hour.

Last year, the lights went out at the Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera House and even the Eiffel Tower! This year organizers expect 115 countries to participate. Here in the U.S., the lights will dim at Washington D.C.'s National Cathedral, the Seattle Space Needle and even on the perpetually light-up Las Vegas Strip. California joins 25 other states nationwide as an official "Earth Hour State" because of a commitment to turn off the lights at the state capitol building in Sacramento. Locally, the Golden Gate Bridge will go dark as well.

In this case, it's a good thing to be "in the dark!"
You suppose all those gated-community liberals will be turning off the alarms that keep them safe from the great unwashed?

The commenters here have some good suggestions.

If these aren't reasons sufficient enough, do it to annoy Tom Brady.

Update: Celebrate Human Achievement Hour!

Snoring Leads to Murder

Maybe they don't have Breathe Right strips over in China.
All Guo Liwei wanted was a good night's sleep - but his room-mate's loud and consistent snoring made it impossible.
In the hope of embarrassing his fellow university student, Guo made a short video of Zhao Yan snoring away in the middle of the night - then posted it on a university web site.

It created more tension between the two and did nothing to stop the loud snores.

Finally, unable to take it any more, Guo grabbed a knife during the night and plunged the blade into the snoring Zhao's chest and back.

The case of the Chinese university student who was driven to murder by his companion's snoring resulted in a court handing down the death sentence - which was immediately suspended but could mean he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The court in Changchun, capital of the north east Jilin province, handed down the sentence after Guo confessed to the murder, which took place in the room he shared with Zhao at the Jilin Agricultural University.

The official Xinhua News Agency reported today that Guo had complained several times to Zhao about his snoring, but even the posting of the video on the internet failed to stop the problem.

The suspended death sentence means that if he behaves himself in jail during the next two years Guo will remain behind bars for the rest of his life. If he misbehaves, he will be executed.

Horrors: Congresswoman Receives Threatening Condom in the Mail

Next thing you know one of these Democrats might get a threatening teabag in the mail. I'm starting to thing they don't do nuanced symbolism.
Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minnesota, was one of several members of Congress who reported receiving obscene and threatening letters after voting for the health care reform bill passed by Democrats on Sunday.

But her spokeswoman told CNN that inside one letter received Thursday was a condom, removed from its original packaging.

McCollum's spokeswoman Maria Reppas said Thursday that the congresswoman's district office in St. Paul received the condom in an envelope dated March 23, along with an anonymous typed letter reading: "Betty McCollum you've been dry f***** by the liberal party."

The condom had been removed from its original packaging and placed in a plastic bag, according to McCollum's district director. McCollum's office said the U.S. Capitol Police and local law enforcement are investigating the package along with another one received Thursday.

Her office also reported receiving part of a shredded American flag doused in gasoline and a typed letter addressed to McCollum, Rep. Keith Ellison, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Sen. Al Franken - all Democrats from Minnesota.

"Each of you receives part of a shredded American flag," the letter read. "It represents Obama and your liberal filth. Open the bag, it's covered in the stench you've brought to our government ... Because of you, we are now a country of dirt, shame, corruption and slime."
Can't dispute any of that statement.

I'm guessing they don't like feedback from their constituents. You suppose any of them have the guts to hold an open townhall meeting any time soon?

Meanwhile, leading me to believe these are orchestrated stunts and will continue indefinitely is the fact Obama is now using these alleged threats as a fundraising vehicle.

Shameless.

Smiling Weiner Shows Off His 'Threatening Letter'

Sorry, but I just have to call BS on this one. I'm getting the feeling this "wave" of threats won't subside until every elected Democrat shows up with a "threat" of their own.
A suspicious package containing white powder and a "threatening letter" was delivered to Rep. Anthony Weiner's office Thursday, police sources said.

Emergency service units evacuated the Democratic congressman's fifth-floor office in Kew Gardens, officials said.

The letter appeared to be related to the heated debate over national health care reform, sources told the Daily News.

"They came over the loudspeaker: 'Don't be alarmed. Just the fifth floor is being evacuated,'" said Kathy Farrell, 44, who works at an orthopedic surgeon's office next door.

"They weren't in too much of a rush to get us out."

The package was received about 1 p.m. No one was injured, but police said nine people were exposed and have undergone decontamination treatment.

The Department of Environmental Protection's health lab will analyze the powder.

Weiner issued a statement saying, "Earlier today an envelope containing white powder and a threatening letter was delivered to my community office in Kew Gardens.
Now if what Weiner is holding is the letter in question and it contained a "suspicious" powder, then why on earth is he holding it? And why does he appear happy about it?

Leftwing, Pro-ObamaCare Radicals Fire Shots at Eric Cantor's Office

We'll assume whoever did this is anti-Semitic as well since GOP Congressman Eric Cantor is Jewish.
Republican Rep. Eric Cantor's Richmond campaign office was shot at Wednesday night, Fox News has learned, the latest in a rash of apparent threats and acts of intimidation against members of Congress.
Since we have no evidence this was done by Obama and Pelosi supporters we'll just have to use the drive-by media template and jump to conclusions and declare it so. Just another in the long line of attacks on Republicans, fostered by the climate of hate engineered by the left.
As House Republican whip, Cantor is the highest elected Jewish politician in the country.

The Department of Homeland Security is involved in the Cantor case because he is a member of the House leadership.

Fox News has also obtained a threatening message left Friday on the voicemail of Rep. Jean Schmidt, R-Ohio.
Obviously this will be the top story on all the networks tonight and will be immediately condemned by Democrats and leftwing blogs. Three weeks ago Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning received numerous death threats yet those were hardly noticed by the state-controlled Obama media.

Update: Via The Right Scoop, here's video of Cantor addressing it today. He takes Democrats to the woodshed for being reckless and fanning the flames.

Here's a transcript of the message left for Rep. Schmidt.
Yes, uh. Yeah, I'm glad, uh. the president passed healthcare, yeah. Funky-ass, racist-ass Republicans hate that, don't you? Jean [sic] Smith, when you got hit by that car or when you fell or whatever, you should've broke your back, b***h. You, and Boehner motherf***er, that Mitch McConnell -- all you racist f***ing Republicans. Why don't you just change y'all's party name to "racist"? 'Cause if one of those little f***ing Teabaggers would've spit on me, I would have socked them in the f***ing face with my f***ing .09 mm. F*** all you racist motherf***ers.
Classy.

I blame the left and the media for inciting this racist Obama supporter.

Update: The Kos Kidz are on to Cantor.
I haven't seen any press in Virginia about that event happening. We need to see if this is true, or if this is part of the Rovian tactic to claim that your opponents are doing something that they aren't doing. He also claimed that he has received "many emails" that are threatening due to his no vote on health care, but that he won't release them because he doesn't want to "fan the flames of hate".

They're trying to turn the story of tea party violence into a "bipartisan hate" story to deflect from themselves. It's time to verify his story!
I wonder if they verified any of the Democrat tales this week?

Frenchman Hacks Obama's Twitter Account

It apparently wasn't too difficult since our genius leader used his dog's name as part of his password. Of course the dog's name also matches Obama's initials. I doubt it's actually Obama doing the tweeting, but then again when you have such sage tweets like this, it probably is. No word whether the French dude was a racist birther and tea party member, but I'm sure the left will find a connection.
A French computer hacker was facing prison today after breaking into the Twitter accounts of Barack Obama and Britney Spears by ‘guessing’ their passwords.

In the U.S. president's case the key word is said to have included the name of his beloved dog, Bo.

The arrested 25-year-old, a Frenchman who lived with his parents and used the pseudonym ‘Hacker Croll’, was tracked down in a trans-Atlantic police operation coordinated by the FBI.

Agents spent six months on his trail after he managed to gain access to Mr Obama’s Twitter account - a micro-blogging site which the president frequently uses to communicate with voters.

The unemployed defendant - whose real name has not yet been released for legal reasons - was held in a police station in central France city of Clermont-Ferrand before being released on bail.

He will appear in court on June 24 when he faces up to two years in prison for hacking into a computer database.

The investigation is being conducted by French prosecutor Jean-Yves Coquillat.
‘He told us how he got into the accounts, but he’s not a genius,’ said a detective involved in the case. ‘He’d managed to get hold of administrator codes, enabling him to create, modify and delete accounts as he wanted.

‘The only really clever thing he did was to guess people’s passwords. He seemed to do this by studying their characters - watching them on TV, reading their blogs, and generally getting to know them. It was apparently a remarkably easy thing to do, especially in the case of international celebrities like Obama and Britney.

‘Obama is fond of the word Bo, the name of his dog, and used it in a number of passwords.’

But Government Run Healthcare Will Be Different

In yet just another example of government ineffiency, a lot of the Census forms being sent out to residents of Georgia have the wrong address on them. The Census bureau tells us it is nothing to worry about. Don't correct them. It is fine. Trust us.

It is more then a few isolated incidents here in Georgia too. One of the local news shows did a piece on this and reported on just how wide spread this problem is.
If you got a 2010 Census form – but your city or and zip code is wrong or missing – fill out the form and send it in to the U.S. Census Bureau anyway, Henry County officials said Wednesday.

Don’t cross anything out or write in the correct city name. And, don’t cross out the bar code; that’s what the U.S. Census Bureau uses to match up each house with the correct city or town, officials said.

County officials sent out an alert after a number of people have called saying they’ve received a Census form but the city and zip code don’t match where their house is physically located. The Census form says “McDonough,” for example, but they live in a town just outside.

The U.S. Census Bureau basically did this to make it easier to mail the more than 120 million forms out earlier this month, Henry County officials said.

Now the sinister side of me, who has begun distrust everything coming out of our Imperial Federal Government, and now questions the real motivation behind anything they do, wonders why millions of dollars was spent on an advertising campaign telling us how important this census was would send out census forms with the wrong address.

Bear in mind these results are what is used to determine your congressional representation, distribution of tax dollars, and for a hundred other uses. So why would you send out census forms that had incorrect data and not want them corrected?

They even tell us that don't worry about it since it is the bar code that matters. Can you assure me that that bar code accurately reflects the correct information? How do I know that a census form filled out for Woodstock, GA isn't being credited to Woodstock, NY? Might make a difference in which states gain seats in congress and which ones lose seats now might it?

Remember earlier this year Obama tried to wrestle control of the Census away from the agency tasked with conducting this audit. For me it isn't a far stretch for them to be applying Chicago style tactics on a national scale, and we have plenty of evidence of this administration doing just that.

We're from the government, and we are here to help. Just saying.

Life Just Got Tougher For Our Troops In Afghanistan

The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, has ordered the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to close many of the restaurants (Burger King, Subway and TGI Friday's included), stores, sports venues and concert stages that provide U.S. troops with some comforts of home while fighting a war abroad.

Hell of a way to fight a war, huh? Once again a decision has been made not with the welfare of our troops in mind but rather appeasing local sensitivities. Our troops are deployed to Afghanistan for a year at a time in the case of the Army, different branches have different rules, but having a little slice of home at the bigger bases was a nice morale boost.

I am sure those that are deployed to the more forward bases will the most affected. It used to be something to look forward to on those infrequent times when you got to get off of your FOB with the slit trenches for latrines and five gallon cans hung for showers and visit a big base and be reminded that life would get better.

This is a poor decision in my opinion and is just further proof of the rumblings that I have heard more and more of from the guys deployed about how "garrison" has broken out. Most of those complaints were coming from service members stationed in Iraq. Basically what it means that now the officers and anal retentive NCO's are more concerned with the big things in life like starched ACU's and rendering proper salutes then they are the tactical situation.

Along with the highly restrictive Rules of Engagement, which is some sort of perversion of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell, which boils down to Don't Shoot, Don't Attack, taking away what can only be viewed as a luxury for these service members can only further the dissension in the ranks.

As for CSM Hall who said on an official blog that "this is a war zone, not an amusement park", might I suggest he get out into the Hinterlands and live for a couple weeks eating MRE's and humping a 100 pounds of grunt junk around the mountains while chasing the Taliban and it might just change his definition of what an amusement park is.

Genius Ed Schultz Figures Out Rush is Against Democrats

Time for the Fairness Doctrine, of course. I guess he want to force people to listen to him and these other low-rated clowns on the left.
