You should always figure people may embellish a bit when asked about their sexual preferences. Just human nature. But this story really has me scratching my head.
Asked about their sex lives, New York women seem to be catching up to their counterparts in Miami and Los Angeles, but it appears their fantasies include doing it in some very strange places.
When it comes to being dirty, New York girls are cleaning up.
Big Apple babes have among the naughtiest tastes of women in the country, according to a new survey.
While eight of 10 New York women polled said they would consider using handcuffs or a blindfold during a sexual encounter, more than half - 55 percent - say they already have.
Six out of 10 admitted to having hot hookups with a guy on the first date.
Overall, Gotham gals come in third as the naughtiest ladies in the 10 cities polled. That's behind the luscious ladies of Los Angeles and the magnificent mamas of Miami.
Other salacious stats revealed that seven out of 10 New York women admit to having fantasized about hooking up with a male friend.
Four out of 10 say they have gone to a bar without wearing any underwear.
And while nine out of 10 consider themselves to be "nice," eight of 10 of those girls admit they have a "naughty side."
With that in mind, when asked about the "naughtiest" hook-up location, the 1,244 women polled listed a chicken factory, a Christmas-tree farm, the Eiffel Tower, a nun's car and Grandpa's 80th-birthday party, among the more notable responses.
Anna David, a sex and relationship expert who hosts the "In Your Pants" segment of "Attack of the Show" on cable network G4, says the survey's findings show that women are becoming more comfortable with their sexuality and that society has adjusted to accept that.
"No matter how far we have come as a society, there is still this lingering shame that women feel about having sexual needs or doing something risqué," David said. "It's OK for a guy to have done all these things, but women feel in order to be 'nice' girls they can't do something risqué.
"I think anything that allows women not to feel shame about their sexuality is a good thing," she said.
The survey was conducted the Impulse Research Corporation for AXE Vice, makers of a popular body wash whose slogan is "turning naughty girls nice."
