Is Free Speech not guaranteed any more?
The Free Speech is in danger. It is not guaranteed anymore if anyone’s words can be misrepresented even when original text or sound recording exists.
The condemnation of radio host Rush Limbaugh for using a phrase “phony soldiers” is a BAD, BAD joke.
Anyone, who wants to, can go to Rushlimbaugh.com and watch the video and listen to sound clip from the day when the phrase was used, and if you listen to the entire clip you will know what Limbaugh said. Unfortunately some television and radio shows only play the part that more or less supports their claim. It’s also in this clip. The clip can be found at:
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_092807/home.guest.html and if you don’t ever want to visit his site search him at youtube.com.
We usually don’t get involved in anything outside of our little niche, news from Poland, but this time we have to take the stand because of the seriousness of the issue. Because next time it could be us or even YOU. Who can guarantee that next week, or next month what we say or write will not be purposely misrepresented? Either in this country (US), or elsewhere in the World. For many of us, immigrants, it is a nightmare jumping back from a dark place in our history called communism. We know how facts can be misrepresented for the purposes of propaganda. We know, because our protests were presented on TV as criminal behavior aimed at destruction of government or private property. What if this darkness is coming back? What if we stay quiet and it does come back?

On Getting It
It's funny how those hailing from New Europe can see right through the revamped Democrat Party.
