Call it selective reporting. A months-old story revived, thanks to the investigative sleuths at the Times. Yes, we all know Nevada Republican Senator John Ensign had an affair and helped get the husband of the mistress a job. So I'm fuzzy on how this is breaking news. I don't defend Ensign and he'll probably pay eventually with his Senate seat.
But for a news outfit that just could not find the time, with a staff of 1300 reporters, to even mention the Van Jones or ACORN scandals, I just can't muster up the outrage. And they devote six pages to this Ensign story. Yet cannot find the time to dig into the myriad ACORN scandals.
No wonder we call them the antique media.
No doubt this will now be the top story across the left blogosphere and at CNN and MSNBC.
