'I Am Meeting With Our President. I Will Not Stop Fighting. This Must End'

This would be perfect. A meeting of two untalented, overhyped media creations.
Lady Gaga wants to meet with President Barack Obama about her concerns over bullying.

Gaga expressed sadness over Twitter Wednesday about the suicide death of a 14-year-old New York boy who had complained in an online video about being bullied over his sexuality.

The pop singer tweeted to her 13.7 million followers: "I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end."

A Democratic official said Gaga plans to attend an Obama fundraiser next week on the West Coast but no private meeting has been scheduled. The official spoke on condition of anonymity and was not authorized to speak publicly about the fundraiser.
As long as she brings a check surely Obama would be glad to meet with her.

Well, the president can't stop bullying, (mostly because he is one,) but this is not a thing of law; it's a thing of attitdude. There's a difference between teasing and school yard scrapes, however, and bullying. And some law or program is going to stop it, nor even define which is which. Let her speak out, sure; but stop making it some political issue as if politicians can solve our every problem. She would do better to meet with preachers and teachers; not the president. Egad; this woman is a meathead (even literally, once, I heard.)

You know, I go to a lot of gay politics sites; and many keep seeking laws and the presidential hand; for many are liberal indeed; but I tell them, over and over: gay folks acceptance in this land did not come about by laws; it came about because first we talked to our moms and dads; and family and friends; and neighbors and co-workers, and that's the only way it's going to get better; and it has.

And I really hate when some self-appointed do-gooder seeks to speak for gay folks, when we are more disorganized than the Tea Party. Which is why I always laugh when I hear about the "homosexual agenda" and our nefarious "lobby." Beats me what those are; but I sure don't get a memo about it; ever.

Lady Gaga, let's see....

Three years ago no one knew who she was.
In five years she'll be in the dust bin along with the ... Spice Girls.

Fame is fleeting, along with the average person's memory. Besides, it helps to have some talent and musical credibility. As much as I loathe the Socialist politics of Paul McCartney and John Lennon, people will still be singing and playing their tunes in the next century. Lady Gaga and her sage political advice will be forgotten.

And yes - I hate bullies too. But getting pushed around by bigger kids as a youngster probably helped make me more self-reiliant and helped toughen me up for the REAL world.
