Massachusetts Republicans are criticizing Democratic U.S. Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren for pledging to seek the "hick vote" as she tries to unseat Republican Sen. Scott Brown. She's spent her life in Ivy League academia, but we're supposed to pretend she's in touch with the folks in flyover country. Good luck with that.
Warren, who grew up in Oklahoma and teaches at Harvard University, made the comment about herself Monday, saying Republicans were casting her both as an elite and a hick.
Warren said: "I think I'm a new category, the elite hick."
When pressed by an interviewer on the website Left Ahead who said he also grew up in Oklahoma and had been called a hick, Warren replied "I'm going for the hick vote here."
Massachusetts Republican Party spokesman Tim Buckley called the comments a revealing prism into Warren's elitist and arrogant worldview.

Elitist Snob Lizzy Warren: 'I'm Going for the Hick Vote Here'
She'll get away with it because liberals can do and say as they please and Democrats will rationalize it.
