Sign of the Apocalypse: Men Now Allowed in Stiletto Heel Races

This just isn't right. With our long and storied tradition of bringing our readers the best in stiletto heel racing, it's with a profound sadness that I may now have to mark the end of such banal enjoyment due to a most unnerving sight.

Get a load of the closet case second from the left.

They're now allowing guys in the race.

WTF is going on here?
These ladies are taking the term killer heels to a whole new level.

But it seems the girls were not alone in their quest to win Sydney's annual stiletto race as even some brave male souls took part in the record-breaking event.

The race attracted 265 stiletto-wearing runners who were all vying to get a step ahead of each other to take the highly-coveted shoe.

The racers who wore a minimum of three-inch heels took part in the 80 metre sprint, which resulted in a mass pile-up after runners jostled for position.

But it was 18-year-old Brittney McGlone, 18 who towered above her rivals to win the race which took place in the harbourside area of Circular Quay.

Miss McGlone - who is the national under-20 400m hurdles champion - won a pair of designer sandals and £2,364 prize money for her chosen charity.
To erase the taste, at least have a gander at the winner.
