One day after the stock market took its biggest plunge since the 2008 financial crisis, President Obama on Tuesday canceled a previously scheduled speech at a local moving company, and the White House also pulled the plug on the daily press briefing.Well, at least for one day we won't hear about a "balanced approach" to whatever.
Instead of traveling to Springfield, Va.-based Interstate Moving Services and making public remarks on fuel efficiency standards for work trucks, Mr. Obama will meet privately with industry officials at the White House this morning — and that meeting will be closed to the press, the White House announced in a scheduling update Tuesday morning.
In addition, a 12:30 briefing with press secretary Jay Carney has been canceled, the update said.
It would have been nice to see the moving vans pull up in front of the White House as he and the family packed up to move back to Chicago.

I'm a constant pessimist but I still can see this guy winning, despite his blatant and cataclysmic failures...
The press is praying that the idiot voters in WI vote to put that state back into the red economically today so they can say 'See, Obama's policies are better...'
The bunker mentality begins to set in. It's all downhill from here.

“Because the Only Good Progressive is a Failed Progressive”
Amen to that moving thing.
And there are plenty of us here in Wisconsin praying otherwise.
At least the moving company will be spared the Obama Curse and won't have to close...
can we pre-emptively send the vans?
