'There Really Only Needs to be One Star in Grant Park, and That's Barack'

It's a good thing Grant Park is an outdoor venue. Otherwise I doubt they'd be able to fit Obama's ego in.

Probably a good idea to keep the Hollywood nitwits away. If Obama loses and all hell breaks loose (a good possibility, apparently), they might get trampled and be unable to remain as functioning useful idiots.
It's probably not surprising that a lot of Barack Obama's biggest celebrity supporters -- both from Hollywood and the music world -- were clamoring for VIP invites to tonight's big rally in Grant Park.

While the Democratic nominee and his staff are thankful for both the big checks and outspoken expressions of support from all those famous faces, I've learned from a key Obama insider that a number of big-time boosters have been told politely -- but very firmly -- to stay away tonight.

Reportedly, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Sean ''Diddy'' Combs, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Ben Affleck are among those advised to skip the Chicago festivities and focus on attending the expected Obama inauguration in January.

''There really only needs to be one star in Grant Park, and that's Barack,'' said the source, a high-profile elected official who spoke on the condition of anonymity, since he's not authorized to speak for the campaign on this issue.

''There will be plenty of time for a new President Obama to be surrounded by famous fans, all hopeful about a new administration.''
It curious that Democrats do everything they can to avoid having their fraudulent voters not show photo ID, but yet to get into Obamarama tonight, you need a photo ID. Funny how that works.
Q: I HAVE a ticket. What should I bring and not bring?

A: Print and bring your ticket and a photo ID. You'll be directed where to go at the entrance on Congress. You WON'T be allowed to bring chairs, coolers, alcohol, strollers or any bag bigger than a woman's purse. No mention was made of cell phones, cameras or handheld camcorders, but they're probably okay if they're small. Children can come without a ticket if they're small enough to carry, said Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communication executive director Ray Orozco. But it will be standing room only at an event that lasts several hours.
Remarkably, someone has thought the unthinkable.
Q: What if Obama loses?

A: Anything can happen. The Obama campaign says the senator will still address the crowd from Grant Park. Police say they're prepared for crowd control and to face tens of thousands of very disappointed supporters.
Those are code words for rioting will commence and the Second Great Chicago Fire will be underway.

Top Democrat: Keeping Your Own Money a 'Simplistic Notion'

They're not even trying to hide it. Forget for a moment we're more prosperous than ever. At least until today we were.

More here.

Thanks to Gateway Pundit for the link. He has video of another terrifying Democrat and his grand plans to silence the right. Boy, these folks really loved democracy.

GOP Poll Workers Intimidated In Philadelphia; Update: Black Panthers With Nightsticks Block Entrance

By nightfall, I expect a solid 140% of voters to turn out in Philadelphia.

The media always breathlessly report allegations of voter disenfranchisement, but rarely touch stories like this.
GOP Election Board members have been tossed out of polling stations in at least half a dozen polling stations in Philadelphia because of their party status.

A Pennsylvania judge previously ruled that court-appointed poll watchers could be NOT removed from their boards by an on-site election judge, but that is exactly what is happening, according to sources on the ground.

It is the duty of election board workers to monitor and guard the integrity of the voting process.

Denying access to the minority (in this case Republican) poll watchers and inspectors is a violation of Pennsylvania state law. Those who violate the law can be punished with a misdemeanor and subjected to a fine of $1,000 and sent to prison between one month and two years.

Those on site are describing the situation as "pandemonium" and there may be video coming of the chaos.
Update: Fox is now reporting Black Panthers, once carrying a nightstick, is blocking media and poll worker access. Lovely.

Maybe those Black Panthers are auditioning for Obama's Civilian Defense Force.

The police wre forced to come and remove the thug.

Update: Here's the video.

Obama Votes With Terrorist

No, not his wife. His good buddy Bill Ayers. Raging anti-Semite Calypso Louie also voted at the same location today.

Nice neighborhood.
Best observation of the morning came when someone on the anchor desk noticed another guy from the neighborhood casting his vote at the same location a few minutes before Obama arrived. The name? Bill Ayers.
Update: Video via Hot Air.

Frothing Obamaton Comment of the Day

Some lovely Obama voter from Battle Creek, Michigan left this comment today. I figure it's a real Obama voter since it identified itself as "Obama Voter", is relatively illiterate and uses excessive exclamation points!!!
Actually we Dems will put you conservatives into camps like the cattle you are!! RE-education camps!

Bye-bye blogs and talk radio. Fairness Docterine for Life. Obama for President for Life. Bye-bye facisit military and hello National Civilian Police Force.

Palin Releases Medical Records, Still Not Enough For Delusional Blogger

At two pages, this is twice as much information as that released by Barack Obama's doctor.
The McCain-Palin campaign e-mailed the statement to the news media while Ms. Palin and her traveling press corps were on a flight from Colorado Springs, Colo., to Reno, Nev., en route to her fifth campaign event of the day.

The letter, dated Nov. 3, is from Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, who works at the Providence Health and Services Alaska clinic in Anchorage.

Ms. Palin, Dr. Baldwin-Johnson wrote, has been a patient at the clinic since 1991. She said Ms. Palin’s visits “have been related to routine women’s health care and pregnancy.”

Ms. Palin gave birth to her five children in 1989, 1990, 1994, 2000 and 2008. Regarding the birth of her fifth child, Trig, Dr. Baldwin-Johnson said Ms. Palin had “no risk factors other than her age.”

Dr. Baldwin-Johnson also wrote that in 1992, Ms. Palin had a breast biopsy for a lesion that turned out to be benign. According to the letter, Ms. Palin is on no routine prescription medications and has no drug allergies. She is said to work out regularly and to be physically fit.

“Governor Palin is in excellent health and has no known health problems that would interfere with her ability to carry out the duties and obligations of the vice president of the United States of America,” Dr. Baldwin-Johnson wrote.
But the psychotic Andrew Sullivan insists on making himself look like an idiot.

How sad.
We have been given no actual records of the last pregnancy, or any reccords [sic] at all, although we are told by the elusive Dr. Catherine Baldwin-Johnson that labor was at 35 weeks - not as premature as previously believed (if you research the average weight of full term DS babies, you find, by the way, that Trig was not underweight). There is no time for any reporters to ask any questions, of course, or any time for the questions raised by the pregnancy to be aired in the press. I doubt Baldwin-Johnson will respond to further queries.
He apparently is unaware this is none of his business.

CNN: 'It's Obama in a landslide'

Get used to this all day long. Of course, this is just one precinct, but they just can't help themselves. I suspect if the vote totals were reversed the headline would be 'McCain Edges Obama' or it wouldn't have even been reported.

Media bias? What media bias?

Court Rejects NAACP Suit To Extend Virginia Voting Hours

Don't worry, though, expect them to keep trying this all over the country. If voters aren't able to get out and vote in the allotted time, then sue to keep the polls open as long as possible. To get the proper amounts of votes to declare victory, of course.

If an Obama victory is in doubt, create confusion and chaos, then you can claim the election was stolen.
A federal judge Monday refused to order any last-minute changes to Virginia's voting procedures in response to allegations by the NAACP that the state is not prepared to handle the predicted historic voter turnout in Tuesday's election.

But U.S. District Judge Richard L. Williams will consider Tuesday a separate request by Republican presidential nominee John McCain to allow overseas absentee ballots an extra 10 days to arrive in Virginia.

State officials said Monday afternoon that they were relieved that Williams did not order extended polling hours, more paper ballots or the moving of equipment among precincts, as the NAACP had requested.

The lawsuit, filed last week, contends that the state is violating the U.S. and state constitutions by not providing enough voting machines, poll workers and polling places, particularly in precincts with large minority populations. The shortages could result in long lines and lost votes, the suit says.

"We are urging all voters to stand in line," NAACP President Ben Jealous said after the ruling. "Americans have waited 230 years for this -- a multi-gender, multi-generational, multiracial [campaign]. This is a big day. Stay in line."
The states go through elections every year and in 2008 there's no excuse for incompetence. But voters also need to be prepared to stand in line if need be.

Isn't your vote worth it?

Still, expect a flurry of stories about extending hours once we get to closing times around the country tonight.

Peaceful Transition: Police Issued Riot Gear

Now why on earth would police need to be prepared for riots? What, are McCain supporters going to have a temper tantrum if their guy loses?
Toledo police are gearing up for possible "Civil unrest" during and after tomorrow's elections.

In an internal memo obtained exclusively by NBC 24 News, officers are ordered to "Have their riot equipment with them Tuesday and Wednesday". Police chief Mike Navarre confirms, officers will have gear similar to the equipment they used during the 2005 race riots. "They have been asked to have their helmets and their gas masks available tomorrow and Wednesday.", Navarre says, "That's the equipment they would not normally carry with them on a normal day".

Obama: 'Brothers Should Pull Up Their Pants'

Dude's note even elected and he's selling out to the man, yo!
Barack Obama has a message for America's youth: Pull up your pants!

In an interview with MTV's Sway Calloway, Obama fielded a question from Eric, a Huntington Beach, Calif., man who referenced a town ordinance that tried to outlaw a street fashion trend in which young men wear their baggy pants down well below their underwear.

Obama said such laws were "a waste of time," but didn't hold back on his own view on the fad.

"Having said that, brothers should pull up their pants," he declared. "You are walking by your mother, your grandmother, your underwear is showing. What's wrong with that? Come on."

"Some people might not want to see your underwear - I'm one of them," he added.

"Here is my attitude. I think people passing a law against people wearing sagging pants is a waste of time. We should be focused on creating jobs, improving our schools, health care, dealing with the war in Iraq."

"Any public official that is worrying about sagging pants probably needs to spend some time focusing on real problems out there," he said.

Although Obama doesn't usually cast himself as the parenting police, he has gotten some of his biggest applause at rallies by telling parents to make their children turn off the TV.
I'll be getting in that habit more frequently, especially when I see him on it.

Bali Bomber Execution Delayed By ... Prince Charles?

Figures this jug-eared galoot would interfere with justice. Yo Chuckles, move on so we can proceed with the firing squad.
Indonesian authorities could be waiting for Prince Charles to leave the country before proceeding with the execution of the Bali bombers, reports say.

The bombers looked to have survived another night on death row without facing execution, by firing squad, after an Indonesian judge said yesterday that judicial appeals by the bombers would not delay their executions.

However the ABC reported there was speculation the executions were being held up until Prince Charles left Indonesia tomorrow.

Authorities might also be hoping that coverage of the US presidential election would take the focus off the executions, it said.
Naturally, the longer this is delayed, the more time there is for the fanatics to peddle their crackpot conspiracies.

Surprise! Palin Violated No Ethics Laws

How convenient the left had a supposed ethics issue to pound over her head for two months and on the eve of the election, we find out there was nothing there.
The Alaska Personnel Board investigator hired to look into whether Sarah Palin abused her power by firing her public safety commissioner found no probable cause that she violated Alaska's ethics law.

The decision is a reversal from a legislative investigation that concluded she had abused her power, by allowing her husband and other staffers to pressure the public safety commissioner to fire a state trooper who went through a nasty divorce from Palin's sister.
I'm just positive nobody will question the timing.

Don't worry though, the crazy people are still after her medical records, a weird obsession that has now crept into the mainstream.

More here.
"There is no probable cause to believe that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act by making the decision to dismiss Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mongan," the investigator, Timothy Petumenos, said. "There is no probable cause to believe that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in any other respect in connection with the employment of Alaska State Trooper Michael Wooten."

Biden: 'Girl-Girls are Tougher Than Girl-Boys'

One of the few things we'll miss from this, the longest campaign in the planet's history, is the nonstop gaffe machine that is Joe Biden.

And wouldn't you know it, the bumbling Biden came through with another doozy today during the final day on the trail.
Telling voters in this swing state that "change is on the way," the Democratic vice presidential candidate offered one of his now-expected random introductory tangents.

The latest was about his sister, Val, his wife Jill, and Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, who introduced the Bidens at the rally of 1,100 people in the gym at Longview Community College.

Biden called his sister a "girl-boy," meaning a tomboy, and then explained that girl-boys are softer than "girl-girls."

"You know why I think Jill likes Claire McCaskill so well, Senator McCaskill? Jill is one of five sisters, Claire is one of three sisters. And I tell you what, you women raised with sisters are different than women raised with brothers," Biden said as both women joined him on stage.

"My sister is smart, runs every one of my campaigns; is beautiful; graduated with honors from college; is homecoming queen. But she's a ... she is what I call a 'girl-boy' growing up, you know what I mean?"

"And I tell you what? Girl-girls are tougher than girl-boys," he said. "But there's one important thing I noticed. The great thing about marrying into a family with five sisters, there's always one that loves you. 'Cause you can count on splitting them a bit. You know what I mean?

"I shouldn't be going off like this, but -- hey, folks, 37 more hours, 37 more hours," he then said.
Thanks for clearing up any confusion, Joe.

The guy really needs a long rest. Let's make sure he gets one starting Wednesday.

In honor of the Gaffe-tastic Biden's many malaprops this campaign season, we reach back early on for my personal favorite.

RIP, Madelyn Dunham

Just never a good time for something like this.
Sen. Barack Obama's grandmother has died, his campaign said this afternoon.

Linda Douglass, a senior aide, said Obama learned of her death about 8 a.m. Eastern time today. She said Madelyn Dunham, 87, a woman who helped raise Obama, passed between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Eastern time.

Obama's grandmother, who had been gravely ill, was a rock of stability, giving him the American roots that would ground his teenage years as well as his career in politics.
Our condolences to Senator Obama and his family.

Don't Forget to Vote November 9

If you're so clueless you don't know Tuesday is Election Day then frankly, you shouldn't be voting.

Just one of those little mistakes when you're printing up ballots in languages other than English, I guess.
Westchester County says the wrong date for Election Day was printed in the Spanish-language version of a mailing from the Board of Elections.

The mailing, about the availability of ballot marking devices, was in English and Spanish. The Spanish section said Election Day was Nov. 9 instead of Nov. 4.

County spokeswoman Victoria Hochman says calls in English and Spanish were made this weekend to correct the mistake. She said the erroneous mailing went to voters in Cortlandt, Mamaroneck, Mount Kisco, Peekskill, Scarsdale, New Rochelle, White Plains and Greenburgh.

About Time: Lingerie With GPS

Hey, sometimes you might have a problem locating your woman. Or it could help you home in on her when you're drunk.

Myriad possibilites, but naturally, the feminists are offended.
Feminists around the world have reacted with horror to a new line of lingerie that comes equipped with a GPS tracking system.

The 'find me if you can' range of underwear has been described as a modern-day, high-tech chastity belt.

'It is outrageous to think that men can buy this, programme it and give it to their partners and then monitor them,' said Claudia Burghart, leader of a Berlin feminist group.

'It is nothing more than a chastity belt for insecure men.'

Lingerie maker Lucia Lorio of Brazil says her design targets the 'modern, techno-savvy woman'.

The lingerie combination set consists of lace bodice, bikini bottom and faux pearl collar, with the GPS device nestled in the see-through part of the bodice next to the waist.

'This collection... is a wink to women and a challenge to men because, even if she gives him the password to her GPS, she can always turn it off,' Lorio said.

'It's not a modern chastity belt. Some men think they can keep tabs on their girlfriends with it, but they're wrong,' she added.
We'll see what we can do about allowing them to change the password. Can't give them womenfolk too much freedom. Then again, that could be a safety measure.
Unconcerned with the controversy her collection has raised, Lorio is also dismissive of the global financial crisis and its adverse impact on luxury items sales.

The GPS lingerie sells from a cool £500, complete with a standard Global Positioning System, to £700 with a more advanced model.

'Some women are now interested in buying it for protection,' she said, programming it for partners themselves so they are safe on a night out alone.

What The Hell is Going On In Ohio?

And when is the rest of America going to fight back against this sort of stuff? Reports now of dead people voting in Ohio, and it isn't a new occurrence.

But this isn't the first time we've uncovered dead voters. Two years ago, another 5 On Your Side investigation exposed 13,000 dead voters registered in Cuyahoga County. More than two dozen of them cast ballots.

Is it possible to just disqualify this state completely? C'mon America don't let Ohio steal this election. Fight back with your vote. Send a message.

Was Joe Doing Some Plumbing at the SNL After-Hours Party?

Hmm. From this report, it sure sounds like Joe is in hot demand. Caveat: Maker's Mark was flowing, so who knows for sure.
But as night wore on to early morning, Joe finally got some “quality” alone time with a certain female cast member. I’m not that familiar with the show, but I know it wasn’t Tina Fey or Amy Poehler. The skinny brunette, I think it was. Kirsten, maybe? Joe’s got good taste: she’s definitely hotter in person. And judging by her taste in plumbers, maybe a closet Republican. I didn’t see what time they left, but it wouldn’t surprise me if someone got her drain snaked last night. Politics sure makes strange bedfellows! (I ran into Joe this morning at the hotel - see picture - and ever the gentleman, he refused to reveal more than his mile-wide grin.)

Classy: Obama Flips the Bird to McCain

So subtle, this guy.

It's exactly the message he sent to Hillary. And to all you bitter clingers and now the entire coal industry. Eff you. I do what I want.

Tomorrow I do it to him. And, God forbid he's elected, he'll be getting it the next four years.

Thanks to Ace for the second video link.

Marine Vet: Murtha a 'Fat Little Bastard'

Well, I've never seen John Murtha in person, so I can't say for sure if he's little.

A fat bastard? Definitely.
Republican congressional candidate Bill Russell's rally on Sunday featured several Iraq war veterans vehemently criticizing U.S. Rep. John Murtha (D-Johnstown), who they say betrayed them when he said troops in Iraq killed innocent civilians in Haditha "in cold blood."

Those remarks sparked Russell to run against Murtha and have been a theme of his campaign ever since.

During the rally, Shawn Bryan, a former sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps., said Murtha visited his unit in Iraq in 2005. At the time, Murtha told the troops "what a great job we did," Bryan said, only to see him tell his district back home he no longer supported the effort.

Bryan said he didn't put his life on the line for his country "just so some fat little bastard can come back and run his mouth."

It was the second time during his speech that Bryan, who flew in from Albuquerque, New Mexico, had called Murtha a "fat little bastard" during his speech. His remarks were not publicly repudiated at the rally.

In an interview after the rally, Russell told PolitickerPA.com Bryan's comments didn't reflect his own feelings, but he did the defend the fellow veteran.

The remarks are reflective of the anger many marines, who have lost dozens of fellow soldiers during combat, feel toward Murtha, he said.

"Am I going to throw him under the bus for it?" Russell asked. "No. I understand -- he's going to say what he believes."
There's no need for Russell to defend Bryan. He's got a right to speak his mind.

Chavez Predicts 'the Black Man' Will Win, Offers to Meet

A new era of hopenchange is sweeping over socialists.
Anti-U.S. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez predicted on Sunday the "black man" will win the U.S. presidential race and offered to hold talks with him to improve ties between the superpower and one its biggest oil suppliers.

Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee who would be the first black U.S. president if he wins Tuesday's election, said this year he would be open to dialogue with leaders like Chavez -- a remark that was seized on by Republicans as naive.

McCain, who trails Obama in polls, has labeled Chavez a dictator.

Chavez, a socialist who has mocked President George W. Bush and calls ex-Cuban leader Fidel Castro his mentor, has said there is an inevitable clash between U.S. and Venezuelan interests, although he has at times offered to ease bilateral tensions.

"We are not asking him to be a revolutionary, to be a socialist -- no," Chavez said at a political rally. We just want the black man who is about to be the U.S. president to have enough stature for the times the world is living through.

"I send an overture to the black man, from us here, who are of Indigenous, black, Caribbean, South American race," he said.

"I am ready to sit down and talk ... I hope we can, and I hope we can enter a new stage," he said later at another rally.
I'll assume Bill Ayers, good friend of Comrade Chavez, will be happy to arrange a meeting.

Left Finally Plays the 'McCain Will Reinstate the Draft' Card

Been wondering when they'd get around to this. Since Iraq has become a non-issue in this campaign, the fear mongers on the left haven't been trying to scare voters into believing the nonsense that the draft will be reinstated.

Until now.
My friends, there is only one way for McCain to make good on his hawkish foreign policy and his virtual pledge of more wars.

McCain will need to institute a draft for young American men (and, given the times, maybe for women as well).

If you are in your late teens and early twenties, or if you are a parent of a person that age, and you have strong views on a renewed draft, it should come into your decision about whether to vote on Tuesday and for whom.
If anyone is going to need a draft, wouldn't Obama need it for his civilian defense force?

Obama Played a Dirty Trick On Himself

After Barack Obama's aunt was found living here illegally, Team Obama and the left reflexively denounced this discovery as some sort of dirty trick to undermine the promise of hope and change.

Well, as it turns out, it was Obama's own autobiography that provided the trail of crumbs for the Times of London. Curious how not a single U.S. media outlet ever bothered to do some investigating themselves.
The trail that led to “Aunt Zeituni”, the relative of Barack Obama who was traced by The Times last week, started with Mr Obama’s memoir, one of the most widely read political autobiographies of all time.

The Democrat campaign has implied that the story might have come from Republican sources – “the American people are ... pretty suspicious of things that are dumped in the marketplace 72 hours before a campaign,” said Mr Obama’s chief strategist David Axelrod yesterday.

In fact, the story came from a book that has been read by millions, including just about everyone connected to the Obama campaign.

Dreams From My Father was first published in 1995, and the story of how Mr Obama returned to Kenya in 1988 to trace his roots has become the cornerstone of his political biography. Yet the US media appears to have overlooked the passage indicating that at least one relative of Mr Obama’s had moved to America and might still be there.
...
Those intriguing passages in Mr Obama’s book were first investigated by The Times during a visit to Kenya in September to interview members of the family, including “Granny Sarah”. Inquiries as to the current whereabouts of Omar elicited only vague responses – and even the suggestion, from a full brother of the missing man, that no such person existed.

This triggered a six-week search, one that would lead eventually to Boston and to Aunt Zeituni. Public record searches found traces of O. Onyango Obama, Uncle Omar’s real name, in Boston. A friend and a former landlady said that he now uses the name Obama Onyango.

In the course of searching for Uncle Omar The Times found a Zeituni Onyango, who also played a prominent part in Mr Obama’s book.
In the end, the discovery of Obama's aunt living in a Boston slum won't alter a single vote, but it's indicative of a lazy media in this country that won't apply the same standards to one of their favorites as they will to a Joe the Plumber or Sarah Palin.

Classy: Far Left Blogger Calls Wurzelbacher 'Joe the Skinhead'

Obviously Joe the Plumber has hit a raw nerve, exposing Barack the Marxist for the fraud he is. Now the angry, far left loons are desperately lashing out, equating Joe Wurzelbacher with neo-Nazis.

Keep it classy, guys.

Update: That's not the least of it. Now a radio talker and Huffington Post blogger is openly calling for the Joe the Plumber to be murdered (H/T Hot Air).

More Hollywood Imbeciles Threaten To Flee If Messiah Loses

This morning we brought you the disturbing news that British citizen Seal would be departing if The Chosen One manages to blow the election. Now comes word another batch of the usual suspects are gassing up their private luxury jets and are ready to depart for parts unknown should they not get their way.

Funny thing is, they're all probably secretly sheltering their fortunes off shore in the knowledge that Obama will be milking them dry.
A HIDEOUS new affliction is creeping through the ranks of America's creative community.

The further Barack Obama edges ahead of John McCain in the million and one polls that are coming out the more pernicious the nagging fear becomes.

What if he loses?

Barely a left-wing pundit, barely an Oscar-nominated softie can sleep a wink these days for fear of the race riots and international humiliation that will ensue should "The One" be defeated on Tuesday.

They think he's going to win, of course, but their hearts still bear the scars of 2000 and 2004.
Yet they're all still here, making their lousy movies and uttering their bilge despite the rampant fears that the evil Bush was going to impart the chill wind of censorship.
But for others, the dread is nameless and paralysing. Erica Jong, author of the 1970s feminist bible Fear of Flying, has developed a new complex in recent weeks - the fear of an Obama flogging.

"If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets, believe me," she told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera last week. "My back is also suffering from spasms, so much so that I had to see an acupuncturist and get prescriptions for Valium.

"Yesterday, Jane Fonda sent me an email to tell me that she cried all night and can't cure her ailing back for all the stress that has reduced her to a bundle of nerves."
Geez, what a bunch of basketcases. Are they so damn immature they can't handle John McCain? Good grief, people, get a grip.
Crack teams of chiropractors are at the ready, and Nissen huts full of qualified shrinks and aromatherapists line Rodeo Drive to soothe the tortured brigades of the psychologically wounded should "The One" be robbed of victory.
Then, of course, there's the perpetually angry Susan Sarandon issuing threats to leave, as if there's a phalanx of fans somehow trying to block her departure.
Actress Susan Sarandon has already issued a veiled threat to the public.

"It's a critical time, but I have faith in the American people," she told Britain's Telegraph newspaper with a touch of implied menace in June this year. "If they prove me wrong, I'll be checking out a move to Italy. Maybe Canada, I don't know. We're at an abyss …"

Sarandon's words qualify her for membership of a small but committed group of Potential Canadians (PCs) in American artistic and creative circles.

Barbra Streisand vowed to emigrate to Canada in 2000 if George Bush were ever elected President, an undertaking she refreshed four years later at the prospect of his re-election.
And yet these blithering idiots are still here, issuing meaningless threats, but at least keeping chiropractors and psychiatrists with booming business.
The actor Alec Baldwin and Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder made similar threats in 2000, as did Robert Redford in 2004, but none has since enriched the Canadian cultural scene.

In fact, Canadian immigration records show that arrivals from the United States actually slowed in the six months after George Bush's re-election in 2004.
Yeah, there were probably Canadians emigrating here, seeking to enjoy the freedoms these addle-brained hypocrites fail to take advantage of.

Boehner: Obama is 'Chicken Sh-t'

Ouch. This won't be getting John Boehner any inaugural invites.
Boehner criticized Illinois senator and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama for his stance on domestic drilling, taxes and his number of "present" votes in the Illinois legislature-an attack originally leveled by Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) during the democratic primaries.

"Now, listen, I've voted 'present' two or three times in my entire 25-year political career, where there might have been a conflict of interest and I didn't feel like I should vote," Boehner said. "In Congress, we have a red button, a green button and a yellow button, alright. Green means 'yes,' red means 'no,' and yellow means you're a chicken shit. And the last thing we need in the White House, in the oval office, behind that big desk, is some chicken who wants to push this yellow button."

Obama voted "present" 129 times, 3 percent of the roughly 4,000 times he voted during his 8 years in the Illinois legislature, according to factcheck.org

Some said that Boehner's charges were legitimate and illustrated potential issues with an Obama presidency.

"Obama consistently took a pass on making tough decisions and that's just not something you can do as president," said Don Seymour, director of communications for The Freedom project, a right wing political action committee.

IBD/TIPP Poll: McCain Surges Within 2.1%, Virginia Now Dead Heat

Considering the IBD/TIPP poll was the most accurate in 2004 (within 0.4%), this at least is some positive news for John McCain with the numbers the closest since October 23.
The race tightened again Sunday as independents who'd been leaning to Obama shifted to McCain to leave that key group a toss-up. McCain also pulled even in the Midwest, moved back into the lead with men, padded his gains among Protestants and Catholics, and is favored for the first time by high school graduates.
Consider it's now Obama 46.7 to 44.6%, with a MoE of 3.4. Note also there are still 8.7% undecided.

Most of the other polls have it anywhere from five to nine points for Obama with a 6.3% average margin.

Oh, and although all the "experts" have declared the race over, has anyone noticed Virginia is now a dead heat?
Virginia will be among the first states to report results Tuesday night, and should it vote Democratic for the first time in a presidential race since 1964 - as many polls suggest - Barack Obama probably will win the White House. But should McCain hold the state, the result could portend a McCain comeback nationally.

A new poll commissioned by The Virginian-Pilot concludes the state remains up for grabs. The survey of 625 likely voters found 47 percent supported Obama, 44 percent preferred McCain and a crucial 9 percent were undecided. Because the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points, the race is technically a dead heat.

JWF Moves Up In Wikio Rankings

Thanks to our friends at Wikio, we're proud to note this blog is now rated 46th amongs political blogs, quite an honor considering we just started up about two years ago now and are ranked among some of the top sites in the blogosphere.

For October, JWF was ranked 50th and 148th overall, but we've now crept up a few spots further with this exclusive preview of the November rankings.

I find Wikio to be more accurate than rankings refected at TTLB and Technorati that fail to update on a timely basis. Wikio updates monthly and notes relevant links for each month. Thanks, of course, to all those out there that link us and have enabled us to keep moving higher, as we had record traffic for the month of October and have steadily grown our readership. Thanks to all who've visited and we hope you keep coming back.

Here's how the ratings will look as of Monday.

SNL Skewers Olberdunce

You just know the mentally unstable MessNBC fraud is seething over this. This no doubt will make Ben Affleck the next worst person in Olbermann's fevered imagination.

The only thing is, since the guy has so few viewers, most of the SNL audience must have been wondering who the crazy guy was.

Foreign Celebutards Promise to Leave the U.S. If McCain Wins

Yawn. The same nonsense every election cycle. Egomaniacal celebrities have a temper tantrum and announce they'll be leaving the country if they don't get their way.

Yet none of them ever, you know, actually leave.

This one is most amusing since it's a couple who aren't even Americans promising to pack up and leave.

DLTDHYOTWO, idiots.
Celebrity power couple Heidi Klum and husband Seal said they'd leave the US if Republican candidate John McCain wins the presidential race, Seal told Vanity Fair magazine.

"If McCain is elected and America staggers on further towards the abyss, then we will leave the country," he said. "That is not a problem for us."

Although unable to vote in the forthcoming election, the British singer said he feels certain the country he and Klum now call home -- for now -- is ready for a change.

Although Seal said he doesn't idolize McCain's Democratic rival Barack Obama like some, he did admit, "There is no doubt that he is a great man, and I would put a cross next to his name immediately, if I could."
How about shutting the fuck up and going back to Britain?

Messiah Image of the Day

Found this one on Drudge. Just imagine if a Republican candidate was silhouetted by the sun with the outline of a cross. My, the left would be apoplectic over it, demanding investigations and bemoaning the evil forces of the Christian right setting up photos.

Rangel Still Breaking the Law

It's been several months now since it was discovered Charles Rangel had some major tax problems, but to date nothing has been done. Now he's just running out the clock as Democrats will soon be in charge of everything and he'll be more powerful than ever.

If he were a Republican he'd already have been forced to resign and would likely be in prison.

In fact, by the time this "investigation" concludes, it'll probably be the whistleblowers facing jail time.

For what it's worth, now it's disclosed Rangel has been using campaign funds to pay off his high-priced lawyers to make this mess go away.
Rep. Charles Rangel has not hired the forensic accountant he said he needed in order to provide answers regarding his messy tax records, The Post has learned.

Meanwhile, the Harlem Democrat has paid more than $120,000 in campaign money to a law firm to represent him in the scandal.

Rangel, the powerful chairman of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee, paid $121,436 in fees to the Chicago office of Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe on Oct. 1. The payment came from his campaign fund, Rangel for Congress.

One of the law firm's partners, Washington-based Lanny Davis, was hired shortly after The Post revealed in August that Rangel had not disclosed rental income on a Dominican Republic beachfront villa.

Federal Election Commission rules prohibit elected officials from using campaign funds for personal legal expenses, and review such expenses on a case-by-case basis.

George Dalley, Rangel's chief of staff, said the congressman had hired an attorney with specialized knowledge of the FEC to clear the legal expenses with the agency.

"We have a prior ruling that this is a legitimate campaign expense," he said, adding that there was an exchange of letters between the FEC and Rangel's lawyer.

But a spokeswoman for the FEC said she has no record of Rangel or his legal representative applying for a determination from the agency.

"The FEC requires campaigns to get approval before using campaign funds for any legal expenses that may in fact be personal," said Ken Boehm, chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center, an ethics-watchdog group based in Virginia.

"Any legal issue of whether Rep. Rangel paid his taxes appears to be a personal legal issue with nothing to do with Rangel's role as a congressman or candidate."

Although Rangel has retained an attorney to aid him in the scandal, he has failed to live up to his public vow to hire a forensic accountant to pore over his tax filings and financial records to figure out if he still owes Uncle Sam money for income earned on his Dominican villa.

In a statement released on Sept. 15, Rangel announced he would "conduct a thorough, independent review of all these statements going back 20 years as well as all of my US, state and local tax returns for the same time period."

He said he would turn over the findings to the House Ethics Committee, which is probing several issues. Those include revenue from the villa, Rangel's use of rent-stabilized apartments as offices in Harlem, and his use of congressional stationery to solicit contributions for an academic center to be named after him.

Following a Post investigation, Rangel admitted he failed to pay tax on at least $75,000 in rental income from his Dominican villa over the past 20 years. Later, he revealed he also failed to disclose the sale of a house he and wife Alma owned in Washington, and their $70,000 profit on a Florida condominium they bought in 2004 and sold in 2006.
Not to mention he's in possession of four rent-controlled apartments in a Harlem building.

I think I might have to become a Democrat. Then I can do whatever I please with no repercussions.

Crazy Man Still Obsessing Over Palin's Medical Records

There clearly are psychological issues at play here. Why else would a guy destroy any shred of credibility over this bizarre obsession?
Still AWOL. No explanation. Not even a gesture, which suggests to me that some in the McCain camp realize they'd rather release nothing than be implicated in anything that might hurt them after the election. Only ABC News' Kate Snow seems to care. Only this blog has really pursued this story for two long months. For the record, I find the idea that a vice-presidential candidate refuses to either give a press conference or release full medial records as a dreadful precedent for transparency. Obama and Biden and McCain have been pathetic as well. But no one has been as secretive as Palin and no one else has similar strangeness in her medical history.
Sad. Really sad. He still believes baby Trig isn't hers.

The man is insane, yet The Atlantic still employs him.

Ten Questions for Obama

We've gone through virtually two years of this guy campaigning, countless Democrat debates, three presidential debates and yet somehow Barack Obama has not been properly vetted and asked basic questions. Well, at some point he'll be held to account and we'll see what a spine of steel he has, as his daft running mate claims he has.

On the other hand, if his press secretaries in the media haven't asked these questions yet, I suspect they never will.

Tale of Two Leaks

What we've got here, folks, is a clear case of media bias, double standards and preferential treatment.

Several weeks back a man just playing ball with his son is approached by Barack Obama during a photo op and within days seemingly every record of his in snooped on by Democrat operatives in Ohio. Outside of the blogosphere and a few papers in Ohio, the national media has ignored the story.

That's right: A United States citizen who was minding his own business was virtually spied on and every aspect of his life scrutinized because he dared to embarrass Barack Obama.

Fast forward a couple weeks and it's discovered that same Barack Obama has an aunt living in this country illegally and has made illegal donations to his campaign. So what does the national media rush to do?

Why, rush to investigate why this story has now appeared, of course!
The Department of Homeland Security is investigating whether its privacy policy was violated after a news organization reported that an aunt of Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama is an illegal immigrant from Kenya, officials said yesterday.

The woman, Zeituni Onyango, 56, lives in a public housing complex in Boston and is the half sister of Obama's late father, who spent most of his life in Kenya before dying in a car accident in 1982.

The Associated Press reported late Friday that Onyango was denied asylum by an immigration judge and that she was instructed to leave the United States in 2004. The AP cited two unnamed sources, identifying one as a federal law enforcement official.
OK, can we seriously expect that there'll be a federal investigation into who leaked information on Joe the Plumber? Let's say it was leaked that John McCain had a relative living here illegally. Would there be a rush to investigate who divulged that information or would the top story be that he had a relative here illegally?

I think you know the answer.

Frankly, I could care less about this woman and there's no doubt in my mind she won't be going anywhere.

But this double standard of selective reporting is a major reason why distrust of the media is an an all time high. People cannot help but be cynical when they see preferential treatment. And never had that been more illustrative than during this campaign.

Naturally, the left now questions the timing. Unfortunately, they don't question the hypocrisy. They should be on notice: Cross your bosses from the Democratic party and your records are fair game.

NFL Week 9

Now that baseball is over, Halloween has passed and the calendar hits November, it really feels like football season. As we now are into the second half of the season, we have but one unbeaten team, and a surprise one at that in the Tennessee Titans. They sent a clear message they're legit with a beating of the Colts last Monday night. The Titans are two games clear of anyone else in the AFC, have a four-game edge in their division and have yielded only 87 points. With a dominating defense and solid running game, they appear poised to run away with the AFC. At this point, perhaps only Pittsburgh, New England and Buffalo could challenge them.

In the NFC, the Giants are a deserving 6-1, but have no margin for error. They have a dominant defensive line that just abused Ben Roethlisberger last week and more than enough firepower to match up with anyone. Still, one or two bad games and in the NFC East they could be in third place just like that. Just look at the brutal schedule they face the second half: Dallas, at Philadelphia, Baltimore, at Arizona, at Washington, Philadelphia, at Dallas Carolina and at Minnesota. With the exception of the 3-4 Vikings, all of them currently have winning records. Getting through that minefield with five or six wins will be impressive. The NFC East is brutal and anyone could still win it. Outside of that division, only Carolina right now appears to be a legitimate contender to challenge the Giants.

We went a dreadful 4-10 last week, our worst of the year by far, and now stands at 56-57-3 for the season. Let's see if we can get back on track.

SUNDAY
Jets +5.5 BILLS: Both teams stumbled last week as Buffalo lost in Miami and the Jets had a life and death struggle with the dreadful Chiefs before winning narrowly. Jets only a game behind Bills and realize this game could change their season, while Bills don't exactly blow people out, so look for tight slugfest. Bills 23-20

Texans +5.5 VIKINGS: Both teams are 3-4, but Houston is rolling and scoring big every week, while the Vikings have offensive issues. Still, rested Vikings have aspirations of winning their division still and need it more. Vikings 30-27

Jaguars -7.5 BENGALS: Disappointing Jags take out their frustrations on lowly Bengals. Word has it Chad Johnson was planning a TD celebration where he'd plant an Obama-Biden sign. Is this cat for real? First, the chances of the Bengals even scoring are slim. But seriously, what the hell does this moron have to celebrate? His team is winless! Get a clue, Ocho Stinko. Jaguars 27-3

CHIEFS +8.5 Buccaneers: Kansas City showed signs of life last week and Bucs don't score enough to merit laying this much on the road. Buccaneers 16-13

BROWNS -1.5 Ravens: Ravens always welcomed back warmly in Cleveland. And what do you know, the Browns decided to start playing a few weeks ago and are rolling now. Momentum continues. Browns 27-17

Cardinals -3 RAMS: Rams playing drastically better than a month ago, but Arizona is at that point now where they're expected to win some road games, and doing that withing the division is crucial. Cardinals probably only need five more W's and they win the NFC Worst going away. Cardinals 31-20

BEARS -12.5 Lions: Made the mistake of picking Detroit over the Bears last month. That won't be happening again any time soon. Bears 38-14

Packers +5.5 TITANS: Green Bay coming off a bye against a team on short rest facing a possible letdown. I think Tennessee's still strong enough to win this, but Packers throw a scare into them. Titans 24-21

GIANTS -9 Cowboys: Brad Johnson can't get the ball down field and the Giants pass rush is virtually unstoppable. Cowboys have major injuries plaguing their secondary and Eli Manning will exploit that all night long. When you have the chance to bury a division rival three games back, you show no mercy. Giants 31-17

BRONCOS -3.5 Dolphins: Broncos we awful in their last game at New England but have had a couple of weeks to get things straightened out. They may win their division by default, so this is one they should win. Not quite ready to be putting Miami in the playoffs, but they're showing major strides. Broncos 30-20

Falcons -3 RAIDERS: Not crazy about these teams traveling cross country, but Oakland can't seem to score more than 13 points and Atlanta has enough offensive capability to outdo that. Falcons 20-13

Eagles -6.5 SEAHAWKS: Another cross country matchup, but Eagles know they can't let this one get away with the Giants up next. Seneca Wallace at QB for Seattle. Enough said. Eagles 31-13

SUNDAY NIGHT
COLTS -6 Patriots: Desperation factor at play for the Colts, who at 3-4 can't afford too many more losses. Patriots playing so-so without Brady but won't be able to keep pace offensively in this one. It's Sunday night, so remember The Olbermann Rule is back in effect this week. Colts 34-23

MONDAY NIGHT
REDSKINS -2 Steelers: Steelers were physically beaten down by the Giants last week and couldn't lay a glove on Eli Manning. So why are they only a two-point dog here against another solid NFC East team? Egomaniacal buffoon Chris Berman will "interview" the presidential candidates at halftime. Wonderful. Redskins 20-17

Man in Fear of 'Hefty' Wife

Poor Behrouz.
AN Iranian man has filed for divorce and asked a court to protect him from his hefty wife, saying she lays into him every night when he gets home from work, the Etemad newspaper reported today.

"I am a cleaner at a hotel and get home late at night. But my wife thinks I do other things after work,'' the paper quoted the man, identified only by his first name Behrouz, as telling the family court in Tehran.

"Every night when I get home my wife, who is tall and strong, hits me.''

Behrouz, who is slightly built, said he no longer wanted to go home and pleaded for the court to save him from his wife, Etemad said.

Obama's Civilian Security Force

Naturally nobody in the Obamedia has bothered to ask what the hell he's talking about here. I always was under the impression we had police and, if necessary, the National Guard to protect people and maintain order.

Would be nice if The Messiah elaborated a bit more. I guess maybe we'll find out when our friendly neighborhood brownshirt comes by to let us know we're being watched.

'John McCain! Not Hussein!'

Don't these rubes know only Democrats are allowed to come up with rhymes for chants? Naturally, this horrifies the delicate sensibilities of the New York Times.
Senator Barack Obama’s middle name is Hussein, a fact that some of his opponents say proves that he is a Muslim. Mr. Obama is, in fact, a Christian.

After the rally in Florida ended, two of the people leading the chant explained why they did so.

“Because it rhymes,” said Shirley Mitten, 64, a volunteer at a pregnancy center and a resident of Brooksville, Fla.

She said she does not know if Mr. Obama is a Muslim. “He says he’s not, but we have no way of knowing,” Ms. Mitten said.

Her husband, John A. Mitten, 64, took credit for starting the chant. “I was trying to get it going!” he said. “I just do not want Obama to be elected.”

Mr. Mitten said he could not trust Mr. Obama because of his past association with William Ayers, the 1960’s radical, and because of his relationship with the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. He also pointed out that Mr. Obama’s father was a Muslim.

The middle name Hussein, he said, added to the suspicion. “I guess Obama was named after Saddam Hussein,” he said.
Obviously, the Times reporter is unable to grasp an attempt at humor.

The comments after the story are even dumber.

Naturally, this "reporter" didn't find anything newsworthy about Palin's speech, only what a couple of old folks had to say.

'No Handouts for Obama Supporters, Liars, Tricksters or Kids of Supporters'

I guess she wasn't interested in spreading the wealth.
A suburban Detroit woman has decided to scare up the vote among neighborhood children by just offering treats to John McCain supporters.

Shirley Nagel of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., handed out candy Friday only to those who shared her support for the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Sarah Palin. Others were turned away empty-handed.

TV station WJBK says a sign outside Nagel's house warned: "No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters."

Nagel calls Democrat Barack Obama "scary." When asked about children who were turned away empty-handed and crying, she said: "Oh well. Everybody has a choice."
Here neighbors must love here.

Folks really need to put politics aside sometimes. I dislike Obama as much as the next guy, but it didn't occur to me to ask the kids who showed up at my door which candidate they liked.

Hope, Change and Campaign Finance Fraud: Priceless

More fraud you can believe in.

More Democrat Voter Fraud You Can Believe In

In Ohio, of course.
The Columbiana County Board of Elections has canceled a meeting Saturday to discuss whether two county newcomers voted improperly. No new meeting has been set.

In a related move, David Johnson, the chairman of the elections board and chairman of the county Republican Party, on Friday called for a poll worker to resign.

Nancy Cope, the secretary of the county Republican Party, on Tuesday sent a complaint to the board about alleged improper voting.

She stated that Peter Grant Jr. of Washington state and Molly Thompson, formerly of North Carolina, moved to Ohio. The two registered to vote Sept. 30 and voted that day.

Ohio law requires that voters be permanent residents.
...
Cope said the pair gave their address as the home of Bea Delpapa, a poll worker who also is a presiding judge of a county precinct.

Johnson asked Delpapa to step down from her election work. There was no word Friday if she did so.
How convenient. These fraudsters were enabled by the presiding judge of a county precinct.

This Delpapa shouldn't be asked to step down. She should be removed. By force, if necessary and charged with aiding and abetting criminals.

Some coincidence, isn't it, that all these cases of voter fraud happen to be perpetrated by Democrats?

Meet the Mini Palin

Aww, isn't she cute? Just hope some psycho Obama fans didn't abuse the kid.

Obama Plays Dumb, Pretends He Didn't Know Aunt Was Here Illegally

Why, he had no idea Auntie Zeituni was here illegally, even though she was donating money to him.

I know politicians are trained liars, but this is ridiculous. Obama's media flack Nedra Pickler has the details.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he didn't know that one of his relatives was living in the United States illegally and believes the appropriate laws should be followed.

The Associated Press found that Obama's aunt had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya. The woman, Zeituni Onyango (zay-TUHN on-YANG-oh), is living in public housing in Boston and is the half-sister of Obama's late father.

A statement given to the AP by Obama's campaign Saturday says, "Senator Obama has no knowledge of her status but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed."
So is he throwing her under the bus and claiming she should be deported? I have a hard time believing that. It's a shame John McCain has so little credibility on the issue of illegal aliens, otherwise this would be a goldmine of opportunity. Still, Obama's excuse he had no idea of this woman's status just strains all credulity. The woman was ordered to leave the country four years ago and managed to still obtain government run housing, and her Senator nephew had nothing to do with that?

Please.

Previously.

'Even More Liberal Than a Guy Who Used to Call Himself a Socialist'

Comparing Obama to Bernie Sanders. Now that's low.
Mr. McCain also brought up, though not by name, the only self-declared socialist in Congress, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and sought to tie him ideologically to Mr. Obama.

"We know that Sen. Obama has been in the left-hand lane of American politics and he's a taxer and a spender. He is the most liberal senator in the United States Senate, by the way -- even more liberal than a guy who used to call himself a socialist.

"My friends, Sen. Obama wants to be redistributor in chief. I want to be commander in chief."

Mr. McCain also referred to a man he called "Joe the Biden," Mr. Obama's running mate who two weeks ago told a group at a fundraiser that Mr. Obama would likely be tested by an international crisis in the first six months of his presidency.
Speaking of Biden, while Sarah Palin draws overflow crowds across the country, a meager 1500 showed up to see him speaking in his own state. Pathetic.
More than 1,500 people crowded on to the green outside Memorial Hall at the University of Delaware on Friday to hear Biden deliver a message of hope and change.

Surprise! Ron Reagan Jr. Supports Obama

A real shocker. I guess that just about wraps it up for Obama. He had to announce it here since apparently nobody listens to his radio show.
I assumed most people already knew that I had supported Obama. Anyone who has spent five minutes listening to my program would have known that. But if it helped to make it official, I'm happy to make it so.
Of course, some of the illiterates still blame his father for all our ills.
rextrek

It's terrific that you Enodorce Barack Obama.....but unfortunately MOST of America's current problems started with YOUR dad's Conservative administration & thier attachment at the HIP of the Religious Right. OBAMA 08!
I'm sure the Gipper would've said something along the lines of "Well, even though my son has moronic tendencies, I still love him."

'Sense of Impending Doom' Overcomes Obamatons

They're living in fear of another election being stolen from them. Really, I should pity these people. They're just too pathetic.
“Look, I have this sense of impending doom; we’ve had a couple of elections stolen already,” Mr. Downs said. “The only thing worse than losing is to think that you’re going to win and then lose.”

He considers that prospect and mutters, almost involuntarily, “Oh, God.”

To talk with left-leaning Democrats in New Hope, San Francisco or Miami Beach, to drill deep into their id, is to stand at the intersection of Liberal and High Anxiety.

Right now, more than a few are having a these-polls-are-too-good-to-be-true, we-still-could-lose-this-election moment. Their consuming and possibly over-caffeinated worry is that their prayers and nightly phone calls to undecided voters in Toledo, Ohio, notwithstanding, Mr. Obama might fall short on Election Day.

To walk on Broadway, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is to feel their pain. “Oh, God, I’m optimistic, but I can’t look at the polls,” said Patricia Kuhlman, 54, nervously tapping her Obama/Biden ’08 button. “I’m a PBS/NPR kind of person, and, O.K., I do look at some polls.”

Ms. Kuhlman shakes her head and says, “If he doesn’t get this, I’ll be crying so hard.”

A young woman, Shana Rosen, walks by. She is from Denver and said she had told her boyfriend that their love life was on hold while she sweated out Mr. Obama’s performance in Colorado. Ask Lucy Slurzberg, an Upper West Side psychotherapist, how many of her liberal patients speak of their electoral fears during their sessions, and she answers: “Oh, only about 90 percent of them.”

Certainly, national and swing state polls suggest that Democrats might allow themselves a deep breath or two. But liberals are not inclined to relax, given the circumstances of their last two defeats. Hanging chad, the Supreme Court decisions, and Florida and Ohio’s electoral problems: it is a lifetime of agita to staunch Democrats. The prospect of success now comes scented with dread.

Conservatives, it must be said, are not immune from the worry vapors. Therapists report that Republicans are hyperventilating too. “Wealthy Republicans are very anxious about taxes,” Jamie Wasserman, a psychotherapist with a practice on the Upper West Side and in Montclair, N.J., said of her patients. “They are not pretending to vote for the black man.”

And in Ohio, evangelical radio stations feature pastors praying for God to help voters ignore these “awful” polls and vote his will.

Many liberal Democrats watch MSNBC, but some say it sounds too much like comfort food. CNN serves its election coverage with a stiff little chaser of doubt for Democrats, and many liberals say CNN and NPR are their regular evening companions. If they really want to rub the sore tooth of worry, they dial over to the “Obama’s radical friend Bill Ayers” channel, otherwise known as Fox News.

“Mostly I flip between CNN and MSNBC, but I go to Fox if I want to get enraged,” Mr. Downs said.
Geez, people, how about getting a life? I'd probably be depressed too if I was surrounded by these dorks on the Upper West Side. They need to get out and enjoy life away from their comfortable bubble.
Liberals are found in almost every corner of the United States, as are their conservative counterparts. But the tribe’s denser concentrations are along the ideological Interstate that runs from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, to the Adams Morgan section of Washington, to Montclair, to Park Slope in Brooklyn, to the Upper West Side of Manhattan, to Cambridge, Mass., Burlington, Vt., and Ann Arbor, Mich., and so on until it reaches the Pacific.

And from those redoubts, how can one gauge what is going on in the fairly broad expanses of this nation that are not 94.3 percent liberal Democrat? Unfamiliarity spikes the anxiety.

“We live in a bubble,” Ms. Serizawa said. “I drove to Monterey recently, and I saw my first McCain placard ever.”
Man, time for another therapy session. Just imagine the horror of seeing a McCain sign. Can they go on?

OK, well, if they're so depressed, they can read this bit of agitprop from AP, where they apparently haven't been lurking about in Manhattan or New Hope.
That smiling guy walking down the street? Odds are he's a Barack Obama backer. The grouchy looking one? Don't ask, and don't necessarily count on him to vote on Tuesday, either.

More John McCain supporters feel glum about the presidential campaign while more of Obama's are charged up over it, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll released Saturday.

The survey shows McCain backers have become increasingly upset in recent weeks, a period that has seen Obama take a firm lead in many polls. One expert says the contrasting moods could affect how likely the two candidates' supporters are to vote on Election Day, possibly dampening McCain's turnout while boosting Obama's.

While 43 percent of the Democrat Obama's backers said they are excited over the campaign, just 13 percent of McCain's said so, according to the survey of adults, conducted by Knowledge Networks. Six in 10 Obama supporters said the race interests them, compared to four in 10 backing McCain, the Republican senator from Arizona.

On the flip side, 52 percent of McCain supporters said the campaign has left them frustrated, compared to 30 percent of Obama's. A quarter of McCain backers say they feel helpless, double the rate of those preferring Obama, the Illinois senator.

More McCain supporters also feel angry and bored, while Obama's are likelier to say they are proud and hopeful.
On the upside, there's only four days left of this silliness and a new era of hope and change will wash over the fruited plain.

Or will it?

Palin Derangement Syndrome Goes Global

Apparently she's more offensive than most anyone on the planet. One more reason to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket: It'll keep psychiatrists very busy for many years to come.
The Republican Governor of Alaska has been made into a giant effigy, with a tiny Barack Obama sitting behind her in a tin hat peppered with bullet holes with 'O'Blimey' written across it.

The pit bull with lipstick will be loaded with explosives and torched at the site of the Battle of Hastings in East Sussex.

The annual bonfire, hosted by the Battel Bonfire Boyes, on Nov 1 will be topped off with the 20ft effigy of the 'hockey mom' dressed as Rambo, complete with bulging muscles, a machine gun and with bullets draped over her neck.

Oops: Obama's 'Aunti Zeituni' Here Illegally

Call this one a November surprise. I wonder if The Messiah will be forced to return those meager donations she's made to his campaign? I assume so, since they're illegal!
Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.

Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as "Aunti Zeituni" in Obama's memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango's case.

Information about the deportation case was disclosed and confirmed by two separate sources, one of them a federal law enforcment official. The information they made available is known to officials in the federal government, but the AP could not establish whether anyone at a political level in the Bush administration or in the McCain campaign had been involved in its release.

Onyango's refusal to leave the country would represent an administrative, non-criminal violation of U.S. immigration law, meaning such cases are handled outside the criminal court system. Estimates vary, but many experts believe there are more than 10 million such immigrants in the United States.

The AP could not reach Onyango immediately for comment. No one answered the telephone number listed in her name late Friday. It was unclear why her request for asylum was rejected in 2004.

Onyango is not a relative whom Obama has discussed in campaign appearances and, unlike Obama's father and grandmother, is not someone who has been part of the public discussion about his personal life.
Hmm. I wonder why?

More from Michelle Malkin and Ace. Love this comment:
Obama's aunt is here ILLEGALLY living in poverty, and is a deportation FUGITIVE. She's collecting WELFARE and has DONATED to Obama's campaign, ILLEGALLY!

Obama. Family in poverty as he makes millions. Complete lawlessness. Giveaway your hard earned tax payer money to illegal fugitives. CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

QUESTION ---
Is this a right-at-midnight October suprise?
