Great News: Muslims Already Praying at Ground Zero Mosque

Well, it sure doesn't look like these folks have any interest in moving. I was under the impression this building wasn't occupied, but sure enough they're pouring in already.
Prayer services are already taking place at the location of a proposed Muslim mosque and cultural center in Lower Manhattan, Fox 5 News reported.

Fox 5 News showed video of Muslim men and women entering the building for evening prayers. When a Fox 5 reporter went into the building, she was informed that prayers are already being held four times a day in the building.

Developers of the planned Islamic center known as Park51 have plans for a 13-story structure featuring a pool, gym and 500-seat auditorium, as well as a mosque and Sept. 11 memorial. It's a project of the Cordoba Initiative, a New York-based nonprofit group.

The developer claims that the project is nowhere near Ground Zero and has no plans to move the project.

In a NY1 interview Sharif El-Gamal said, "We are components of Lower Manhattan...In New York, two blocks is a great distance."

He went on to say: "We are nowhere near the World Trade Center site."

El-Gamal has said that he will not accept Governor Paterson's offer to move the project from the current location two blocks from the World Trade Center site.

"This is not a debate. This is us, as Muslim-Americans, giving back to our community," El-Gamal said.
How ungrateful of us to not realize they're simply giving back to the community, one already destroyed by their co-religionists.
