Animal Rights Wacko Brigitte Bardot Demands 'Pardon' For Savage Dog Who Mauled Child

You really have to wonder what goes on in the minds of idiots like this.

Brigitte Bardot has been criticised for trying to save the life of a bull terrier that left a girl of four disfigured.

The dog’s owners demanded it be put down after it mauled their little girl last month, leaving her with horrific injuries to her face and body.

But Miss Bardot, 76, has asked the local mayor to spare six-year-old Prince after the attack in Boulogne.

Prince is considered one of the most dangerous dogs in France.

He is currently being held in a secure kennel prior to lethal injection following the horrific attack on the little girl in July.

Prince attacked the child in her sleep, leaving her with facial injuries which required maxillofacial surgery.

When his owners contacted the pet shop where they had bought him three weeks earlier they learned that he had started eating his previous owner – a pensioner who had died of old age.

Maybe Bardot should take the dog in herself. Then he could chew on her.

An editorial in the influential political weekly Le Nouvel Observateur said Bardot’s actions were ‘outrageous, shocking and sad’, adding: ‘You’ve followed her desire to save the Monster of Boulogne, an eight-year-old Bull Terrier. Our western world is so dehumanized that people prefer animals, especially dogs.’

French film legend-turned-activist Brigitte Bardot took a swipe at Sarah Palin on Tuesday, saying the US vice presidential candidate was a disgrace to women.

"I hope you lose these elections because that would be a victory for the world," Bardot wrote in an open letter to Republican John McCain's running mate in the November vote.

"By denying the responsibility of man in global warming, by advocating gun rights and making statements that are disconcertingly stupid, you are a disgrace to women and you alone represent a terrible threat, a true environmental catastrophe," wrote Bardot.

Nothing like subtly understating your case.

I hear Bardot used to be a pretty hot dish back in the 60s, but I was only 8 years old back then.

Oh wait, that wasn't until the 70s.

Nevermind. Whatever the case, she looks like eight miles of bad road now. She's probably just pissed everyone's got the hots for Palin.

In a final salvo against Gov Palin, the 74-year-old ex-star picked up on Palin's depiction of herself as a pitbull wearing lipstick and said she "implored" her not to compare herself to dogs.

"I know them well and I can assure you that no pitbull, no dog, nor any other animal for that matter is as dangerous as you are," Bardot wrote.

Seriously, where did this assumption Palin is so dangerous come from? I understand strange people are losing sleep and all, but what on earth has she done to be portrayed as the greatest menace to this planet? What is it? The hair? The accent? The choice of lip gloss? Please, someone help me out here!

FRANCE'S 1960s screen icon Brigitte Bardot has received a 15,000 euros ($24,440) fine today for inciting hatred against Muslims.

In December 2006, the film star-turned-animal rights activist wrote a letter to France's then interior minister, current President Nicolas Sarkozy, arguing that Muslims should stun animals before slaughtering them during the Aid al-Kabir holiday.

She outraged anti-racist groups by saying: "I've had enough of being led by the nose by this whole population which is destroying us, (and) destroying our country by imposing their ways.''

Ms Bardot, now 73 and suffering from arthritis, was absent from today's court hearing in Paris.

She wrote to the court saying: "I'm sickened by how (these organisations) are harassing me.''

"I will not shut up until stunning is carried out on animals before their ritual slaughter."
