President Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness met today in Durham, NC at Cree Inc., a company that manufactures energy-efficient LED lighting. One of the Council's recommendations to President Obama was to streamline the federal permit process for construction and infrastructure projects. It was explained to Obama that the permitting process can delay projects for "months to years ... and in many cases even cause projects to be abandoned ... I'm sure that when you implemented the Recovery Act your staff briefed you on many of these challenges." At this point, Obama smiled and interjected, "Shovel-ready was not as ... uh .. shovel-ready as we expected." The Council, led by GE's Jeffrey Immelt, erupted in laughter.I guess you could say it was unexpected.

I got one for ya, Jammie. Picture this- a large company wants to exapnd production beyond it's main facility in a union state and decides to set up shop in a right-to-work state.
You'd think the NLRB would be all over that one, wouldn't you.

Here's someone who's gonna be "shovel ready" as soon as the election count in 2012 is finished. Yeah yeah, I know, we're gonna have to wait until his successor is sworn in. But as far as I'm concerned you can start packing now mr Ovomit.

Or I guess you can get a job community organizing somewhere. You sure as hell aren't gonna be able to claim your experience as president on your resume. You didn't/won't do anything constructive in the four years you were in office.
