Savor the irony. A group of radical anti-Israel saboteurs discover their ship has been sabotaged. Allegedly. It's really quite a shame this happened while it was in port rather than out at sea.

The ship scheduled to carry the Swedish activists in the Ship to Gaza aid flotilla at the end of the week has been sabotaged in its berth in Greece, the organisation reported on Monday.

The group has reported that the ship Juliano has been sabotaged while berthed in Piraeus harbour, in Greece.

“It is time for the international community to put their foot down and say: It’s enough!” said Swedish spokesperson Mattias Gardell in a statement on Monday.

According to Mikael Löfgren, press coordinator of the organisation, it is not known who was behind the attack in which hostile divers destroyed the propeller housing and severed the two propeller axles beneath the boat.

“We didn’t catch anyone in the act, so we can’t be 100 percent sure, but we have our suspicions,” said Löfgren to The Local.

Obviously it was the Jooooooos.

“It is not so much a question of dealing with the sabotage to our boat. The impending question is really to urge Israel to end the blockade - then our problem would disappear by itself,“ Löfgren told The Local.

If only these losers would disappear.

Military elements monitoring the Gaza flotilla said that radical elements taking part in the sail have said they were planning "surprises for the IDF" and plan to kill many soldiers.

The information suggests that radicals are planning to equip some of the vessels with bags containing chemicals, possibly sulfur, which they will use against soldiers who may try to take over the ships.

They just won't learn until they swim with the fishes.

Israelis Kill 'Squad of Terrorists Wearing Diving Suits'

Israeli forces on Monday shot dead four Palestinian 'commandos' off Gaza as the Jewish state scrambled to cope with mounting fallout over an earlier deadly sea battle.

A week after Israeli naval forces stormed a Gaza-bound aid boat, killing nine people, most of them Turkish, US Vice President Joe Biden said Washington was eyeing "new ways" to deal with Israel's blockade of the Hamas-ruled enclave.

And Ankara, still furious over the death of eight Turkish nationals in the raid, vowed that normalisation of ties with Israel would be out of the question if the Jewish state refused to accept an international inquiry into the attack.

Palestinian witnesses said they saw Israeli forces firing on a vessel off the coast of central Gaza at 4:00 am (0100 GMT).

Two hours later, four bodies in diving suits were pulled from the water, medical sources and witnesses said, describing the dead as "commandos."

Israel's military said it had attacked "a squad of terrorists wearing diving suits" on their way to launch an attack.

But survivor Abu al-Walid told AFP that while there were seven Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades members on board, there were "no arms in the boat," and that they had been engaged in "swimming training" at the time. Two had escaped and one was still missing, he said.

Sure, nothing like a 4 am swimming lesson.

Al Qaeda Claims Responsibility for Rocket Attack on Israel

Someone remind me why Hillary Clinton says the Palestinians are our partners in peace? They have a strange way of showing their commitment to the "peace process" with Al Qaeda firing rockets into Israel from Gaza.

AN al-Qaeda-inspired militant group, the Ansar al Sunna Brigade, claimed responsibility today for firing a rocket from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, killing one man.

"This jihadi attack is an answer to Zionist aggression against the Al Aqsa Mosque and holy sites and our people in Jerusalem," the group said in a statement.

An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed that a rocket slammed into the Netiv Ha'assera kibbutz, a few kilometres from the Gaza border, and killed a foreign worker, adding that it was the third rocket fired at Israel from Gaza since yesterday evening. Local media reports said the man was Thai.

Good Walls Make Good Neighbors

"We have started construction along our borders not to appease anyone but to protect our nation from terrorist plots..."

No, those words were not spoken by Janet Nincompoop or any living Democrat in Congress. Instead those are the words of President Mubarak of Egypt in response to their plans to further security on their Gazan border and to further restrict the smuggling of arms by the Bedouin tribes to the Palestinians.

These are not the Bedouins of Hollywood. These are simply Middle Eastern arms dealers whose services are sold to the highest bidder. They don't ride across the desert on camels, but rather in 4 wheel drive all terrain vehicles bristling with armament.

Recently they are starting to have a lot of heartburn with Egypt who is cracking down on the smuggling taking place across the border with Gaza. The Egyptians concerns are well founded since these arms find their way into the arms of the terrorists, who don't care who they attack, just so long as they kill something to justify their existence and manage to blame it on Israel.

"If a war ever happens between Egypt and Israel, you'll find us taking up arms against the Egyptians," adds another smuggler, Ibrahim. The others concur.

Most pop culture media try to portray these Bedouins as some sort of Robin Hoods of the desert, but that is just their attempt to romanticize the notion of wandering caravans of camels traversing vast expanses of the desert eking out a living.

"We like Israel more [than Egypt] because there's justice," says Ibrahim, a young cement smuggler. "If you are a person living inside Israel, you live better than you would in Egypt, without any smuggling," he says. "They don't let you just sit on the street ... And Israel would never arrest your wife and father if you are the one wanted by the state."

Another Endearing Cartoon From Hamas Terrorists

Classy stuff from the Hamas terror gang. Of course our State Department ignores this garbage and instead puts pressure on the Israelis to co-exist with these monsters.

Hamas' terrorist TV channel -- which routinely indoctrinates kids by portraying Israelis as ghouls -- is launching a new cartoon series that depicts another enemy, the Palestinian Authority police.

A pilot episode shows a toadyish Palestinian officer watching as a Jewish character machine-guns a group of West Bank children to death and drinks their blood.

"You killed our children before my eyes," the officer says meekly. "I will respond with even more peace."

The grotesque six-minute pilot was a big hit when tested on Gaza Strip viewers this month by Hamas' video mouthpiece, Al Aqsa TV, and will be expanded next month, officials in Gaza City said.

Al Aqsa TV is notorious for propaganda-filled kids' shows, such as a 2007 broadcast that showed Farfur, a Mickey Mouse-like character, vowing, "We will annihilate the Jews! I will commit martyrdom!"

In the final episode, an actor playing an Israeli agent tried to buy Farfur's land, and, when the mouse refused "to sell our lands to terrorists," he was beaten to death.

But the new Hamas series expands the hate-filled message by making monsters out of both the Israelis and the Palestinian security force, even though they have often clashed violently in the West Bank.

The pilot cartoon, called "A Special Mission," is built around Bahlul, a boot-licking police officer in the US-backed Palestinian Authority.

Hamas launched a civil war in 2007 against the authority's forces that ended with the terrorist group establishing iron control over Gaza and the authority retaining power in the West Bank.

Bahlul, whose name means "buffoon" in Arabic, obligingly kisses the feet and shines the shoes of an Israeli soldier, drawn with an enormous nose and pointed ears like a devil's.

They probably use the same as agency that has Rush Limbaugh portrayed as Hitler in Martha Coakley ads.

Land of Make Believe: 'Hamas Is Not Getting Any of This Money'

For all the blather about how intelligent the left supposedly is and how Mrs. Clinton and Obama will be projecting smart power, is there anyone alive naive enough to think that by throwing billions at Gaza that Hamas is not going to get their hands on the money? Really, this just insults the intelligence of anyone with a functioning brain.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in remarks prepared for delivery that urgent action was needed to turn the Gaza crisis "into an opportunity to move us closer to our shared goals."

She said the goal was to achieve a Palestinian state that would be "a responsible partner, is at peace with Israel and its Arab neighbors, and is accountable to its people."

Clinton plans to pledge $300 million for Gaza reconstruction and $600 million to support the Palestinian Authority's budget shortfalls, economic reforms and security and private sector projects run by the PA.

The West shuns Hamas because it refuses to recognize Israel, renounce violence and commit to interim peace deals with the Jewish state. U.S. State Department spokesman Robert Wood said the money earmarked to Gaza will be channeled through the United Nations and other organizations, but not Hamas.

"Hamas is not getting any of this money," Wood told reporters late on Sunday in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Of course we can trust Hamas to sit idly by while money pours into territory they control. And of course the UN would never secretly funnel money to them, right? Especially when they detest Israel and openly root for the terrorists.

It's like living in the alternate reality where Obama piles trillions upon trillions in spending on us and we're told there are no earmarks when 9000 of them have been identified. We're not supposed to believe what's clear as day right in front of us.

Instead, believe false words from proven liars.

Are Your Ready For Gaza: The Stimulus Package?

On a day when the markets hit a 12-year low, it's probably not a good idea to suggest we're going to pour nearly another billion dollars into Gaza. Of course we'll be told the UN will have oversight (ha ha) and our money won't be going directly to Hamas, but really, is there anyone who believes that?

The United States plans to offer more than $900 million to help rebuild Gaza after Israel's invasion and to strengthen the Western-backed Palestinian Authority, U.S. officials said on Monday.

The money, which needs U.S. congressional approval, will be distributed through U.N. and other bodies and not via the militant group Hamas, which rules Gaza, said one official.

"This money is for Gaza and to help strengthen the Palestinian Authority. It is not going to go to Hamas," said the official, who asked not to be named as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton planned to announce the funding at a donors' conference in Egypt next week.

Neither the United States nor Israel have direct contact with the Islamist Hamas movement which runs Gaza and remains formally committed to the destruction of the Jewish state.

The official said the pledge was a mix of money already earmarked for the Palestinians and some new funding.

"The package is still shaping up," he said, when asked for specifics over how the money would be spent and a breakdown of old and new funding.

In December, the former Bush administration said it would give $85 million to the U.N. agency that provides aid to Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

So we make the leap from $85 to over $900 million in two months?

Wonderful.

So what about that $613 million that was already allegedly pledged?

Of course, since Obama's media handlers tell us he enjoys broad support, I guess nobody will object to handing our money over to terrorists.

John Kerry, Keith Ellison Visit Terrorist Stronghold

Nothing like having a U.S. Senator traipsing around Gaza. Has anyone told this idiot he's not Secretary of State?

U.S. Sen. John Kerry is in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip as part of a rare visit by American politicians to the area.

The former Democratic presidential nominee says he is in Gaza to see the aftermath of Israel's military offensive there last month. He is not meeting with anyone from Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist group.

To no surprise, one of those Democrats was Muslim Keith Ellison.

US congressmen Brian Baird and Keith Ellison, both Democrats, were in Gaza on Thursday, the first such visit since the Islamist Hamas seized power in the Palestinian territory in June 2007.

The pair visited Izzbet Abed Rabbo, a community in northern Gaza devastated during the deadly 22-day Israeli offensive that ended on January 18.

They also planned to visit a factory and a hospital damaged during the war, Palestinian officials said.

An estimated 14,000 to 20,000 homes and other buildings were damaged or destroyed during the military offensive in which more than 1,300 Palestinians were killed.

The visit is the first by US lawmakers since Hamas, an Islamist movement Washington blacklists as a terrorist organisation, seized control of the Palestinian enclave in June 2007.

Change! Obama Hands Over $20 Million From U.S. Taxpayers to Hamas

Under the guise of "emergency relief" to the poor Gazans, Barack Obama has decided to fork over $20 million of taxpayer money to the Hamas terror gang. Idiots around the world are throwing money to Gaza, but you know a nickel of it doesn't get spent without going through Hamas, the terrorist organization that runs the hellhole.

The Obama administration on Friday made an emergency contribution of more than $20 million for urgent relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, a day after the United Nations launched a flash appeal for $613 million to help Palestinians recover from Israel's three-week military operation there.

The State Department said President Barack Obama had authorized the use of $20.3 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for humanitarian assistance to the 1.4 million Palestinians in Gaza.

They pretend this money will be going through the UN, but there will be no accounting for for it and you can bet a good chunk of it will go to the terrorists to buy weapons.

Sky, BBC Refuse to Air Gaza Propaganda Appeal

Frankly, I'm stunned the BCC is now claiming to be objective. Sky I can understand. But kudos to both of them for refusing to knuckle under to pressure to air the terror propaganda.

Britain's Sky News on Monday joined the BBC in refusing to broadcast a Gaza charity appeal despite pressure from ministers and demonstrators, saying it risked the television channel's objectivity.

The BBC's refusal to air the appeal has further angered pro-Palestinian campaigners who believe the broadcaster was biased towards Israel in its coverage of the Gaza conflict.

But Sky News, the BBC's only domestic rival as a 24-hour television news channel, said Monday that it too felt it could not risk airing the appeal.

"The conflict in Gaza forms part of one of the most challenging and contentious stories for any news organisation to cover," John Ryley, head of Sky News, said in a statement.

"Our commitment as journalists is to cover all sides of that story with uncompromising objectivity.

"The absolute impartiality of our output is fundamental to Sky News and its journalism.

"That is why, after very careful consideration, we have concluded that broadcasting an appeal for Gaza at this time is incompatible with our role in providing balanced and objective reporting of this continuing situation to our audiences in the UK and around the world."

The appeal is by the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), an umbrella group of 13 charities including Oxfam and the British Red Cross, which kicks in with coordinated fundraising after disasters such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

ITV, Channel 4 and Five, Britain's three other terrestrial television broadcasters beside the BBC, have all aired the appeal.

Top Church of England archbishops, government ministers, opposition spokesmen, more than 11,000 viewers and more than 50 lawmakers have called for the BBC to reconsider its decision.

Fisk: Hey, How About a War Crimes Tribunal for the Israelis?

Why not just throw Bush and Cheney in there while you're at it, Bob? This deluded stooge will never escape bizarro world. The poor Hamas terrorists are never at fault. Does Hamas ever stop lobbing rockets at Israel? Of course not. But according to the drooling moron, the Israelis forced them to.

And history was quite forgotten. The Hamas rockets were the result of the food and fuel siege; Israel broke Hamas's own truce on 4 and 17 November. Forgotten is the fact Hamas won the 2006 elections, although Israel has killed a clutch of the victors.

And there'll be little time for the peacemakers of Sharm el-Sheikh to reflect on the three UN schools targeted by the Israelis and the slaughter of the civilians inside. Poor old Ban Ki-moon. He tried to make his voice heard just before the ceasefire, saying Israel's troops had acted "outrageously" and should be "punished" for the third school killing. Some hope. At a Beirut press conference, he admitted he had failed to get a call through to Israel's Foreign Minister to complain.

It was pathetic. When I asked Mr Ban if he would consider a UN war crimes tribunal in Gaza, he said this would not be for him to "determine". But only a few journalists bothered to listen to him and his officials were quickly folding up the UN flag on the table. About time too. Bring back the League of Nations. All is forgiven.

Failed Socialist States Cuts Diplomatic Ties With Israel

I guess the Israelis can kiss that subsidized home heating oil goodbye. Oh wait, that only goes to the failed state of Massachusetts. Whatever. The jug-eared freak Hugo Chavez is severing diplomatic ties with Israel. I'm sure they're heartbroken.

Venezuela on Wednesday broke diplomatic ties with Israel over its deadly military offensive in the Gaza Strip, according to a government statement read on public television.

"The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in accordance with its vision of world peace, in solidarity and respect for human rights, has decided to definitively break diplomatic ties with Israel," the text said.

This comes on the heels of Bolivia doing the same today, so it's no surprise.

Bolivian President Evo Morales said on Wednesday his country cut diplomatic ties with Israel over the offensive in the Gaza Strip that has killed hundreds of Palestinians.

"Bolivia had diplomatic relations with Israel," Morales said in a speech before diplomats in the government palace. "Considering these grave attacks against ... humanity, Bolivia will stop having diplomatic relations with Israel."

Morales, a leftist, is a close ally of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who on Jan. 6 expelled Israel's ambassador in protest over Gaza.

Venezuela is a major supplier of aid to Bolivia.

"The crimes committed by the Israeli government affect peace and stability in the world," said Morales, before calling the Israeli invasion of Gaza "a genocide."

Yawn.

Israelis Intercept Iranian 'Aid' Ship Bound for Gaza; Free Gaza Kooks Launch Again

Yes, I'm sure it was all just food and medicine. Considering Iran is the chief sponsor of Hamas, I have a sneaking suspicion there may have been more than just "aid" on board.

The Israeli navy intercepted an Iranian ship loaded with medicine, food and clothing destined for Gaza and forced the vessel to Egypt instead, Iran's state television reported Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in a gesture of support with the Palestinians in Gaza, Iran's top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a religious opinion, or fatwa, declaring the purchase of any Israeli goods or trade with Israeli companies to be forbidden.

Israel's offensive in Gaza, which Palestinian medical officials say has killed more than 940 Palestinians since Dec. 27, has sparked outrage in Iran and throughout the Muslim world. Israel has said it launched its campaign to stop rocket fire aimed at civilians in southern Israeli towns by the militant group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip. Iran is Hamas' main backer, providing it political and financial support, though Tehran denies sending the organization weapons.

Meanwhile, a boatload of leftist crackpots has once again set sail from Gaza, just begging to be torpedoed.

International activists left Cyprus for Gaza on Wednesday in a renewed bid to deliver about five tons of donated food and medical supplies to the Palestinian territory despite an Israeli naval blockade.

Free Gaza group organizers replaced a faulty generator on their 66-foot (20-meter) Greek-flagged vessel and set sail from Larnaca port with 21 passengers.

The group aborted the trip to Gaza on Monday after rough weather and engine trouble 40 nautical miles (72 kilometers) southwest of Larnaca forced their return.

It's a 'Mads' World: Crackpot Norwegian Says Gaza a Lab for New Weapons

This idiot contradicts himself by claming that "Gaza is now being used as a test laboratory for new weapons," while at the same time "having used the weapon in the 2006 Lebanon war and previously in Gaza."

Which is it? Is it new now or in 2006? When have they used these nefaious weapons in Gaza?

ISRAEL is testing a new "extremely nasty" type of weapon in Gaza, two medics charged as they returned home to Norway after spending 10 days working at a hospital in the war-torn Palestinian territory.

"There's a very strong suspicion I think that Gaza is now being used as a test laboratory for new weapons," Mads Gilbert said at Oslo's Gardermoen airport, commenting on the kinds of injuries he and his colleague Erik Fosse had seen while working at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

The two medics, who were sent into the war zone by the pro-Palestinian aid organisation NORWAC on December 31, said they had seen clear signs that Dense Inert Metal Explosives (DIME), an experimental kind of explosive, were being used in Gaza.

"This is a new generation of very powerful small explosives that detonates with an extreme power and dissipates its power within a range of five to 10 metres," Mr Gilbert, 61, said.

"We have not seen the casualties affected directly by the bomb because they are normally torn to pieces and do not survive, but we have seen a number of very brutal amputations ... without shrapnel injuries which we strongly suspect must have been caused by the DIME weapons," he said.

The weapon "causes the tissue to be torn from the flesh. It looks very different (from a shrapnel injury). I have seen and treated a lot of different injuries for the last 30 years in different war zones, and this looks completely different", Mr Fosse, 58, said.

"If you are in the immediate (vicinity of) a DIME weapon, it's like your legs get torn off. It's an enormous pressure wave and there is no shrapnel," he explained.

Mr Gilbert also accused Israel of having used the weapon in the 2006 Lebanon war and previously in Gaza, and referred to studies showing wounds from the explosive could cause lethal forms of cancer within just four to six months.

I guess the fact this terrorist stooge works with Hezbollah makes him a fair and nonpartisan news source.

Another Big Lie: Human Rights Watch Claims Israel Is Using White Phosphorus

Funny how a group calling itself Human Rights Watch doesn't care for the humans living in Israel who are a never-ending target of these terrorist monsters. Yet all they need is a weak claim from some doctor in Gaza and they make this allegation.

Human Rights Watch said Sunday that Israel's military has fired artillery shells with the incendiary agent white phosphorus into Gaza and a doctor there said the chemical was suspected in the case of 10 burn victims who had skin peeling off their faces and bodies.

Researchers in Israel from the rights group witnessed hours of artillery bombardments that sent trails of burning smoke indicating white phosphorus over the Jebaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. But they could not confirm injuries on the ground because they have been barred from entering the territory.

The chief doctor at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza said he treated several victims there with serious burns that might have been caused by phosphorus. He said, however, that he did not have the resources or expertise to say with certainty what caused the injuries.

The substance can cause serious burns if it touches the skin and can spark fires on the ground, the rights group said in a written statement calling on Israel not to use it in crowded areas of Gaza.

Military spokeswoman Maj. Avital Leibovich refused to comment directly on whether Israel was using phosphorus, but said the army was "using its munitions in accordance with international law."

Israel used white phosphorus in its 34-day war with Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006. The U.S. military in Iraq used the incendiary during a November 2004 operation against insurgents in the city of Fallujah.

An AP photographer and a TV crew based in Gaza visited Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis on Sunday and recorded images of several burn patients.

One of them, Haitham Tahseen, recalled sitting outside his home with his family in the morning when something exploded above them.

"Suddenly, I saw bombs coming with white smoke," said the man, whose burned face was covered with medical cream. "It looked very red and it had white smoke. That's the first time I've seen such a thing."

His cousin, in another hospital bed, was more severely burned, with patches of skin peeling off his face and body, and had to be wrapped with thick white bandages.

The hospital's chief doctor, Youssef Abu Rish, said the burns were not from contact with fire, but he couldn't say what sort of substance caused them. He said information he collected on the Internet indicated it could have been white phosphorus.

So we have someone who can't say for sure if they used white phosphorus, Human Rights Watch isn't on the ground there and an AP photographer of unknown credibility along with a Gaza TV crew claim to have filmed burn victims. As if they're very reliable.

To assist the Middle East peace process, Rael, founder of the Raelian Movement of some 70,000 members in 104 countries, recently launched Operation Jewish Gandhi, which calls upon Israelis to adopt Palestinian orphans and raise them as Muslims.

"It's the only way to show the path for peace and prevent the destruction of Israel," Rael said, adding that because of Israel's attack on Gaza and the resulting civilian deaths -- especially those of children -- the Raelian Movement is increasing its efforts on behalf of peace in the region, including promoting the adoption of Palestinian orphans by Israelis.

He said the new program's name stems from a parallel historical example: Mahatma Gandhi once asked the Hindu father of a child killed by Muslims to adopt a Muslim orphan and raise the child according to the Muslim faith after the man admitted he had killed a Muslim child for revenge.

Following Rael's recommendation, a young Raelian Israeli couple planning to raise a Palestinian child began the adoption process last August.

"When I heard Rael's idea of bringing peace to the Middle East through this adoption program, I told myself, 'I will be the first to do it,'" said Yaniv Rozenfeld, an Israeli who is also a Raelian rabbi. He said he has been calling Palestinian orphanages ever since.

Rozenfeld said he is fully supported in the adoption quest by his wife Reut, who is already taking care of their own young child.

"We'll raise our own child -- aware of his Jewish origin - while raising and educating a Palestinian child according to his Muslim origin," Rozenfeld said. "We'll bring up both to the age where they can choose their own religions while knowing and respecting each other, and that will be our contribution to the peace process. We believe many Israelis will follow our lead, since a majority in this country wants to live in peace."

But the Rozenfelds face a huge legal hurdle, according to Rael.

"It's incredible, but it seems that an Israeli law forbids Jews to adopt non-Jewish children!" he exclaimed. "This apartheid measure must be denounced by the worldwide media, and the international community should apply pressure against Israel to protest this abjectly racist law so the Israeli government will cancel it."

'Hamas Makes Cynical Use of Civilian Homes'

Israeli soldiers yesterday discovered a hand-drawn Hamas map revealing how the terror group is exploiting Gaza's civilian population by deploying snipers, booby-trapping homes and planting bombs, officials said.

"Hamas makes cynical use of civilian homes," said Israel's chief intelligence officer, Brig. Gen. Yuval Halamish.

The map of the northern Gaza town of al-Atatra was translated on the scene and helped the Israeli troops in subsequent operations, he said.

The block-by-block sketch was apparently based on a view taken from Google Maps.

On the map, Hamas split up the town into three sectors - red, blue and green - and highlighted sites such as mosques, a gas station and a fuel depot, the Jerusalem Post and Yediot Ahronoth newspapers reported on their Web sites.

"You can see that the neighborhood was divided into three areas of fighting, according to color, and inside, the terrorists spread out a number of posts, planted explosive devices and posted sharpshooters," Halamish said.

"Inside the map, the terrorists also marked sniper positions, as well as the location of roadside bombs, anti-tank bombs and land mines."

Halamish said the map showed that Hamas does not hesitate to use the civilian population in carrying out its terrorist activity.

For example, a brown dot is marked next to a mosque, representing a nearby sniper position.

Pointing to one sector, Halamish said, "This is a civilian area, and you can see on the map how Hamas booby-trapped the entrance to homes in order to hit" Israeli forces.

Knowing all this, President-in-Training Obama is ready to sit down and chat with them. Wonderful.

The incoming Obama administration is prepared to abandon George Bush's ­doctrine of isolating Hamas by establishing a channel to the Islamist organisation, sources close to the transition team say.

The move to open contacts with Hamas, which could be initiated through the US intelligence services, would represent a definitive break with the Bush ­presidency's ostracising of the group. The state department has designated Hamas a terrorist organisation, and in 2006 ­Congress passed a law banning US financial aid to the group.

CAIR to Condi: Please Help the Children!

The unindicted terror co-conspirators at CAIR continue to churn our their propagandist bilge via the PRNewswire. Apparently fewer media outlets are buying their anti-Israeli drivel.

A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today called on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to help evacuate two American children trapped under Israeli bombardment in the Gaza Strip.

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is seeking State Department help for the two American children, ages six and three, whose father gradated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The children were born in the District. Friends of the family contacted CAIR seeking help. (Photos of the family are available from CAIR.)

Reached by phone in Gaza, the father said Israeli bombs had fallen as close as 100 feet from the family's house in Beit Hanoun. He said he has been in touch with the U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem, but that no evacuation of American citizens was offered.

An unknown number of other American citizens are similarly vulnerable to Israeli attacks in Gaza. CAIR has attempted to contact American officials in the area.

In a letter to Secretary Rice, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad wrote: "We ask that you intervene personally to ensure that these American children, and all other U.S. citizens and their accompanying family members, are safely evacuated from areas under Israeli bombardment."

Curious how CAIR fails to name the children or their father. What have they got to hide?

The rest of their release is chock full of slanted media accounts and other alarmist verbiage.

More than 650 Palestinians have already been killed in recent Israeli attacks. Israeli bombs have also targeted mosques, schools, universities, medical personnel, homes, and a Baptist church.

If indeed they have targeted those places, it's simply because that's where the Hamas terrorists are hiding.

The Beatdown Continues: 'Hamas Has Nothing Left But Rockets'

These chicken-shit terrorists are still hiding behind children and killing members of Fatah. They can't hold up against the IDF and except for the rockets, all they have left is a sympathetic media. Thankfully the Israelis are largely ignoring the media propaganda and getting the job done.

On the 12th day of fighting in the Gaza Strip, the defense establishment is seeing that Hamas is in deep distress. This isn't only coming to fruition on the physical front, but also in the morale of the organization's political and military echelons.

From Hamas' viewpoint, it seems as though the current IDF operation has crossed all the red lines. Hamas officials are even making statements in the vein that Israel has lost control.

The most significant damage has been sustained by the organization's governmental facilities. Reports show that close to none of the Hamas administrators has an office from which to work. They are even talking about anarchy. Furthermore, all the military infrastructure has been damaged, in particular the ammunition labs.

According to figures collected thus far by Israel's defense establishment, Hamas' military infrastructure has sustained a serious hit, but their rocket capabilities still exist. A number of Hamas commanders have been killed or wounded during fighting, making it increasing difficult for their military wing to function properly.

The defense establishment has also noted that Hamas has been exercising caution in clashes with IDF soldiers. Hamas is tending not to put their forces at risk in areas in which they may fail. The IDF hit some of Hamas' senior commanders, while those who have survived have gone underground. In many instances, the IDF has taken precaution not to target some of these commanders in their various hiding places, many of which are in heavily populated areas, when there is significant risk that innocent civilians could be hurt.

Hamas' method of operation forces Israel to choose between two alternatives – striking the organization's senior officials, along with innocent bystanders, or carrying out surgical strikes, which is more likely to jeopardize IDF forces on the ground.

Another trend coming from Gaza at this stage in the fighting is Hamas' willingness to fight to the very last drop of their population's blood. There is a tacit understanding amongst Hamas officials that the organization is not a shield for the Palestinian population, but there to protect their own associates only.

Hamas is still taking action against Fatah affiliates and is willing to take all measures in order to swipe at them. For instance, this week a 70-year-old elderly man was shot to death when he refused to disclose the location of his son, a Fatah operative.

I'm surprised they didn't parade his body around and claim the Israelis executed him.
