Muslim Congressman Grieves for Football Player/Paramedic

Rep Keith Ellison (M-MN) got all teary eyed testifiying today before the panel asking questions about how the radicalization of Muslims can be blunted. My first question for Mr Ellison is have you ever shed those types of tears of any American service member slain battling these radical Islamic terrorists?

He knows what makes good theater but in regards to his comments about Muslims in America rushing in there to grieve maybe he ought to look at the nutjob in New York who promotes active jihad against America and takes great delight in the sufferings of the infidels. Or maybe he can explain all those missing Somalia guys from his home state of Minnesota who keep winding up in Somalia and they have a weird way of celebrating spring break.

John Kerry, Keith Ellison Visit Terrorist Stronghold

Nothing like having a U.S. Senator traipsing around Gaza. Has anyone told this idiot he's not Secretary of State?
U.S. Sen. John Kerry is in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip as part of a rare visit by American politicians to the area.

The former Democratic presidential nominee says he is in Gaza to see the aftermath of Israel's military offensive there last month. He is not meeting with anyone from Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist group.
To no surprise, one of those Democrats was Muslim Keith Ellison.
US congressmen Brian Baird and Keith Ellison, both Democrats, were in Gaza on Thursday, the first such visit since the Islamist Hamas seized power in the Palestinian territory in June 2007.

The pair visited Izzbet Abed Rabbo, a community in northern Gaza devastated during the deadly 22-day Israeli offensive that ended on January 18.

They also planned to visit a factory and a hospital damaged during the war, Palestinian officials said.

An estimated 14,000 to 20,000 homes and other buildings were damaged or destroyed during the military offensive in which more than 1,300 Palestinians were killed.

The visit is the first by US lawmakers since Hamas, an Islamist movement Washington blacklists as a terrorist organisation, seized control of the Palestinian enclave in June 2007.
Must be great for Hamas having some useful idiots from the United States there for a photo op.

Ellison wants to ban photo ID as requirement for voting

Well lookee here at what our resident Muslim representative (D-MN) in Congress is opposed to along with the obligatory liberal tagline.
Requiring photo IDs to vote in federal elections would be banned under legislation introduced Wednesday by Rep. Keith Ellison, who said such requirements disenfranchise minorities, the poor, women, elderly and young people.

And this should make you sleep good at night in light of what is going on with the Mukassey confirmation. Granted Ellison is in the House and not the Senate so he doesn't have a vote, but he is siding with his fellow "Let's hold hearings for everything" representative.
Ellison, who serves on the Judiciary Committee, got an important backer for the bill, as the panel's chairman, Michigan Democrat John Conyers, signed on a co-sponsor.

I don't know maybe it is because of cases like this.
And this
And this
And those are just from an organization called ACORN.

Dean Panders to Radical Islamists

Nice to see the Chairman of the Democrat Party pandering to his masters.

Republicans = evil, Islamists = good.

Way to go, Howie.

Curious how this "story" wound up in the Lifestyles section, and check out the reverential tone paid to the Islamists.

Dean tells Muslims: Run for political office: 'Stand up and say who you are and be proud of it,' he tells packed house
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean told American Muslims gathered in Rosemont to think beyond voter registration drives.

"You need to run for political office," Dean said Saturday. "The only way you can achieve your goals is to stand up and say who you are and be proud of it."

Those in the packed house rose to their feet and applauded.

Dean was one of several prominent Democrats on Saturday to address the nation's largest gathering of American Muslims. Republicans declined invitations, organizers said.

The annual Labor Day weekend gathering of the Islamic Society of North America is expected to draw up to 40,000 Muslims before it ends Monday.

It's a family event full of spiritual and educational seminars. Saturday, many Muslims found inspiration from politicians.

"Be heard. Don't be silent. Tell it like it is," said Rep. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress.

"If you don't tell your story, someone else will. And you may be the villain in their story," the Minnesota Democrat said.

Ellison, too, received a standing ovation.

While Muslims are changing America's religious landscape, they're being encouraged to find their political voice, too.

"There are people who want to see Muslims not only at the table but on the ticket," said Malik Mujahid, president of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago, which sponsored the "Take Back America Rally" involving Dean.

Nabeel Razzaki, a financial analyst from Portland, said many American Muslims became fearful of political participation after 9/11.

"I've thought about it for a long time, but I was scared," Razzaki said after hearing Dean. "Now, I feel inspired to run for a local office."

Muslims here say they share a common faith, but their religious and political views are hardly monolithic. Some want to concentrate only on local politics. By building slowly at the grass-roots level, the day will come when Muslims can influence the bigger races, they say.

Ellison Goes Truther, Compares Bush to Hitler

We figure this officially seals him as a mainstream Democrat, though he loses style points for likening George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler.

That's so unoriginal.

Though I guess when you're a member of the gutter religion of Islam, saying stupid things is par for the course.
America's first Muslim congressman has provoked outrage by apparently comparing President George W Bush to Adolf Hitler and hinting that he might have been responsible for the September 11 attacks.

Addressing a gathering of atheists in his home state of Minnesota, Keith Ellison, a Democrat, compared the 9/11 atrocities to the destruction of the Reichstag, the German parliament, in 1933. This was probably burned down by the Nazis in order to justify Hitler's later seizure of emergency powers.

"It's almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that," Mr Ellison said. "After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted."

To applause from his audience of 300 members of Atheists for Human Rights, Mr Ellison said he would not accuse the Bush administration of planning 9/11 because "you know, that's how they put you in the nut-ball box - dismiss you".

Vice-President Dick Cheney's stance of refusing to answer some questions from Congress was "the very definition of totalitarianism, authoritarianism and dictatorship", he added.

Mr Ellison also raised eyebrows by telling his audience: "You'll always find this Muslim standing up for your right to be atheists all you want."

A convert to Islam who was previously linked to the extremist Nation of Islam, Mr Ellison, 42, has cultivated a moderate image since being elected last November, concentrating on issues such as health and education.
Yes, he really sounds like a moderate. We may well have a running mate for Ron Paul here.

Democrats Launch 'Adopt a Gitmo Detainee' Program

You just can never underestimate the Democrats and their ability to undermine national security. Not satisfied with keeping the world's most feral human debris safely locked up on an island prison, now they want to import the terrorists onto our shores.

Ironically, they don't have any problem with Fidel Castro keeping his citizens prisoner on the island. Castro they like. It's Bush they hate.
Key House Democrats plan to insist the Pentagon shut down the detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and are contemplating the relocation of many of the 385 or so remaining terrorist suspects to military brigs along the East Coast -- including Quantico, Va., and Charleston, S.C.

"It sets us back in the war on terrorism to be maintaining Guantanamo," said Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), who's heading an investigation of the facility for the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.

"It will enhance our reputation to close it down and to apply our system of justice to all of these detainees," he added.

After two trips to Guantanamo, Moran told The Politico that he's recommending Congress cut funding to the detention center at the end of summer 2008. The men held there should then be released, tried or moved to the United States, he said.
Where Moran surely would allow them to register to vote, just in time for the 2008 elections.

Yet to be divulged by Jim Moran, Super Genius, is a plan to allow each of Gitmo's 385 detainees to be adopted by a Congressional district of their choice. For example, since Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind behind 9/11, he obviously would feel most welcome in lower Manhattan, the district represented by slobbering Bush hater Jerrold Nadler.

Other fiends most surely would seek to gain entrance to the Minnesota district now led by Islamist Keith Ellison (D-CAIR). Another choice spot would be San Francisco, a hotbed of jihad supporters and home to Nancy Pelosi.

Now there may be some logistical problems, as there may not be enough districts out there in the red states that are willing to accept these poor, misguided souls who just happened to be vacationing in Afghanistan after 9/11. So most of the innocents would likely be placed together in group facilities in urban areas heavily populated by friendly Democrats.

Of course, not all Americans think this is a good idea.
A senior administration official, also speaking on the condition of anonymity, said he was puzzled by the Democrats' frequent discussion of closing Guantanamo.

"While we want to bring these guys to trial as quickly as possible, where do Democrats believe we should keep Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the 9/11 plot?" the official asked. "Which American city will they choose to place America's most wanted terrorists?"
Details, details.
