Crazed Canuckleheads Tear Up Vancouver: 'It's Insane, It's Absolutely Insane'

These animals did the same thing when they lost to the New York Rangers back on June 14, 1994. Now the Vancouver Canucks again lost the Stanley Cup Finals in seven games and these out-of-control barbarians torch the town.

Parts of downtown Vancouver erupted in flames, explosive booms thundered through the air and looters smashed windows and ran amok inside department stores Wednesday after the city's Stanley Cup run ended in bitter defeat.

Weeks of well-behaved crowds watching the Vancouver Canucks march toward Game 7 of the NHL final ended abruptly in violence and vandalism that erupted even before the 4-0 loss to the Boston Bruins was officially over.

The riot shattered the wholesome legacy of the nightly parties hosted on the same streets during the 2010 Olympics — an experience that had the city's mayor and police chief confidently proclaiming Vancouver had ``matured'' since similar riots in 1994.

Some maturity.

For many, the ugly chaos made the Cup loss an afterthought.

``Tonight, what I've seen is a complete disgrace,'' said Beth Hope, 28, who is originally from England but has lived in Vancouver for the past two years.

``I'm a Canucks fan but my jersey's in my bag — I'm ashamed to be a fan right now.''

She said she saw a parkade on fire, cars ablaze.

``It's insane, it's absolutely insane. What's the point? Our team lost — why destroy your own city? I'm afraid.''

If only they could act as civilized as, say, the folks in Boston, where they celebrated victory, with only two arrests reported.

I eagerly await a lecture from our moral superiors to the north about how uncivilized and uncouth Americans are.

Eight People Murdered for Book Burning Half a World Away

Some days I just feel like throwing my hands in the air and today is shaping up to be one of those days as far as the Middle East is concerned, or to clarify, those wonderful fun-loving fanatics of the Islamic cult.

Reports are coming out of some medieval head choppers in Afghanistan, who probably while acting under the influence of some strong opiates and stoked by the hate speech spewed at their mosque, have killed eight members of a UN mission. They beheaded two of them. The news is coming out in drips and drabs and I am having to piece together the information from various reports, especially since there are some in the news business that seem to have an aversion to labeling the killers. I hate to imagine the debates taking place in the editorial rooms.

The killings were sparked by the burning of a Koran by some guy in Florida.

At least eight people have been killed in Afghanistan during an attack on a UN compound in the northern city of Mazar-e Sharif, officials say.

The violence occurred during a protest reported to be over the burning of the Koran in a US church last month.

What never ceases to amaze me is that in a country that is so backwards as Afghanistan, where the main instrument for receiving news besides the weird beards are AM radios, can hear about such an incident in the first place. To get them whipped up into such a frenzy that you can go out and slaughter eight people like cattle is truly a testament to how this cult can claim the title of the Religion of Peace™. The sad part is the folks who were murdered were probably not even aware of the Koran burning.

The reason I want to throw up my hands is because these folks do a good enough job of killing each other with their whole Sunni/Shiite hatefest that I would like to see westerners just completely withdraw from the region, let them slaughter each other to their little hearts content, but if they export their murder, punish them harshly. It is obvious that all of our best intentions are a waste of time. They want to live in the 9th century, let them. Screw the oil; hell, America has the largest quantity of untapped oil in the world if the politicians would just let us at it. We are smart enough to come up with all sorts of alternative energy sources also, even though most of it is not viable for mass use yet, but it will be.

People of course are going to blame the preacher for burning the book and placing the blame for these murders on him which, even if the act is stupid, is no reason to murder. Put the blame where it belongs and quit bowing to the violence of the followers of a pedophile make-believe prophet. As long as violence works, they are going to continue using it. What incentive is there to change?

These people are not worthy of any of our expenditures in time, blood or money.

Angry Mob Brutally Attacks Reporters ... in California

 
They obviously didn't get the memo about the new era of civility.

Angry mourners attacked two members of a television news crew Sunday at a curbside memorial for the victim of a fatal shooting in Natomas.

Both the homicide and the attack occurred outside the International House of Pancakes restaurant in the 2900 block of Advantage Lane, near Interstate 5 and Del Paso Road.

At about 2:40 a.m., Sacramento police officers responded to a shooting at the all-night restaurant. Homicide detectives believe two groups got into an argument inside. The fight escalated outdoors and ended in gunfire, police spokeswoman Laura Peck said.

Responding officers found one man lying dead on the pavement, she said.

Police described the suspects as men in their 20s, but could not describe their clothing or vehicles.

Peck said there were numerous people at the restaurant who might have seen the attackers, but few had assisted in the investigation. "There were plenty of people there," she said. "Someone should come forward."

By Sunday afternoon, a small memorial of balloons, candy hearts and candles had appeared at the restaurant.

A crowd of mourners gathered.

Journalists arrived to record the impromptu event.

About 3:45 p.m., a Sacramento Bee photographer was threatened and chased by members of an angry mob who mistakenly believed she was recording it on her cell phone. She ran to her car, where people surrounded her, screaming and pounding on her windows. She escaped unharmed but shaken.

Soon afterward, Fox40 reporter John Lobertini and photojournalist Rebecca Little – unaware of prior events – approached the memorial and a handful of mourners gathered there. Within moments, a dozen people ran from an adjacent parking lot and charged the journalists, screaming obscenities.

One woman grabbed Little's hair and pulled her to the ground. Another kicked her in the face. At least one man punched Lobertini as he attempted to protect Little.

Other mourners tried to stop the attack, but later insisted it was the journalists' fault for intruding on a private event.

Ah well, the reporters work for a Fox affiliate, so I'm sure the left has no problem with this.

Savages Hang Toddler by His Ankles in Closet and Beat Him

Can it get any more depraved than this?

Louis Wright, an 18-month-old boy, was fighting for his life in an intensive care unit Thursday after having been hung by his ankles in a closet and repeatedly beaten and tossed around by three teenage boys, according to court records.

Three boys, ages 16, 15 and 14, are accused of abusing him.

The 16-year-old, Tyrek D. Varnes of Dame Court, North Charleston, is charged with inflicting great bodily injury upon a child. He was being held by the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice on $80,000 bail, set Thursday by Magistrate Alvin Bligen. Varnes is charged as an adult.

The other teens, whose names were not released, are also in the custody of Juvenile Justice.

Louis' 18-year-old mother also has been jailed, accused of having allowed the abuse to take place. Shakera Wright, of Meeting Street, Charleston, is charged with allowing infliction of great bodily injury upon a child. She was being held in the Charleston County jail on $40,000 bail set Wednesday.

Varnes and Wright face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, if convicted, authorities said.

About 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, North Charleston police were called to Medical University Hospital's pediatric intensive care unit for a report of a child with suspicious injuries.

Doctors told police the baby had swelling to his face, five fractured ribs, bruises on his back and his left and right torso, as well as lacerations to his spleen, liver and pancreas. Doctors also discovered an old skull fracture that had healed.

The officer met with a doctor, social worker and S.C. Department of Social Services representative and was told it appeared the injuries were from having been struck in the back, chest and abdomen.

Wright told the social worker and DSS representative that she was at Varnes' apartment Monday night when he and his friends "play-wrestled" with Louis. She said the friends hit the toddler until she told them to stop and picked him up.

Wright didn't notice anything was wrong until Tuesday morning when Louis woke up and was not playful. His eyes had rolled back. She took him to the hospital on the advice of the baby's father who was not at the home at the time of the alleged abuse.

It's difficult to fathom how inhumane some people are. These animals should never see the light of day. May God help that little boy recover and have a life free from these beasts.

'This Type of Conduct is Not Supposed to Happen in Civil Society'

This "type of conduct" is subhuman savagery showing no respect for the law, other people or your children. This is the crap we've come to expect from Palestinians attacking Israelis, not Americans ambushing other Americans.

First responders from the Alton Fire Department and five officers from the Alton Police Department were attacked by a crowd of several hundred people in the Oakwood Housing Complex who shot large bottle rockets at them. The incidents occurred late Sunday and early Monday in the 700 and 800 blocks of Oakwood.

"I'm so angry," said Alton Police Chief David Hayes. "This type of conduct is not supposed to happen in civil society. This was obviously intended to be entertainment for the crowd."

Hayes added that the crowd's actions were "despicable and turn my stomach."

The confrontations began at 10:20 p.m. and within the 40 minutes it took to resolve the first incident, police were attacked three times. It started when a firetruck was dispatched to extinguish a Dumpster fire in the 700 block of Oakwood and was immediately attacked by the crowd shooting and throwing fireworks at them.

According to two police reports, Patrolman First Class Walter Wetzstein and several other officers already were on their way to the scene because of the "large amounts of fireworks being set off at that location." Both reports stated that in the past, fires have been set to "lure the fire department out so they could be attacked by fireworks."

When officers arrived, they too were attacked "by the mob" with bottle rockets thrown from behind buildings. Police responded with pepper-ball guns and at one point pursued attackers in an attempt to restore order. Officers left when firefighters were able to extinguish the Dumpster fire but quickly returned to the housing complex because of reports of people shot or injured in the 800 block of Oakwood. Police did not find anyone injured but again were attacked by fireworks and again deployed pepper-ball guns to prevent attacks.

Officers were attacked a third time in the 700 block of Oakwood when they responded to reports of a truck fire; that turned out to be a box on fire. Officers had to leave when their pepper-ball guns were out of ammunition.

At 12:29 a.m. July 5, police and fire personnel again were dispatched to the Oakwood Housing complex for a Dumpster fire in the 800 block of Oakwood. Officers were attacked with bottle rockets and again deployed pepper-ball guns. When the fire department put out the fire, police requested the Dumpster in the 900 block be soaked down in an attempt to prevent it from being set on fire. Officers left at that time to respond to other calls.

"The Fourth of July is always a very busy time for us because of fireworks. It's unfortunate that resources were tied up for a couple of hours like this" when the rest of the city might have needed them, Hayes said.

The city has taken a more proactive approach this year in curtailing the private use of fireworks. The Telegraph printed a letter from Mayor Tom Hoechst stating that fireworks were illegal in Illinois. Individuals found to have them or be discharging them would receive a non-traffic citation and would have to appear before a judge and ordered to pay a fine. If they failed to do so, a warrant would be issued for their arrest.

"The sad reality is there were likely a number of adults who participated or were spectators. They're just showing their kids 'this is the way we have fun on the Fourth of July.' It speaks to the poor parenting skills they have," Hayes said.

The police are reviewing videotapes to see how they can follow up with charges.

Just imagine if police and firemen failed to respond to calls. The Justice Department would have already launched a probe into civil rights violations of the poor oppressed people of the housing projects.

They were attacked three times over several hours, lured on separate false reports of shootings and fires. This kind of thing poses a risk not only to police, but to the members of this community who have real problems, to which cops will be less able to quickly respond in the future. It's a greater threat to the public and the Republic than, say, a handful of rude signs at a political rally, but there will be no national coverage. Perhaps if this group organized as an anti-tax coalition, they'd get more coverage of their shenanigans.

White Kid Brutalized on School Bus, Noted Racial Healer Barack Obama Unavailable for Comment

 

Just disgusting. Yet it's typical of Obama's America. The beaten kid is white and according to the media, all white people are racist, so I guess he had it coming.

"In my estimation, it's racially motivated," said Capt. Don Sax of the Belleville Police Department. He said one reason he had formed this opinion was that many of the students, most of whom were black, yelled their support for the beating.

"There was absolutely no justification for the beating either time," Sax said.
