Candidate Obama Argues With President Obama Over Syria

Okay folks time to dust off the old memory banks and step into the way back machine. All the way back to 2007 when a certain other person was President of the United States and the Dems were in love with Syrian leader Assad, all with the intent of undermining then President Bush in the Middle East.

Remember this picture.

That is then speaker Nancy Pelosi with Syrian president Assad.

She wasn't there alone however.
Washington, (SANA)- Democratic Member of the US. House of Representatives and Chairman of the United States House Committee on Foreign Affaires Tom Lantos has underlined that Syria vehemently believes in the dialogue in its relations with the US and in dealing with the issues. In an interview on Tuesday, Lantos described the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi's recent visit to Damascus as important to open dialogue channels with it as saying: "The visit expressed in a marvelous way interests of the US, that led to embarrassment of the current US administration which has closed doors for dialogue with Syria."
Lantos expressed desire to visit Damascus once more and that he will not comply with the policy of the US President George W. Bush regarding it.

Might go a long way to explaining the current occupant's of the White House reluctance to do anything in regards to Syria.

Of course candidate Obama professed that he would be willing to meet with the leader of Syria, along with other countries in the Axis of Evil, with no preconditions.
At A July 2007 Debate, Obama Announced He Would Personally Meet With Leaders Of Iran, North Korea, Syria And Other Hostile Nations "Without Precondition." Question: "[W]ould you be willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?" ... Obama: "I would. And the reason is this, that the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them -- which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this administration -- is ridiculous." (CNN/You Tube Democrat Presidential Candidate Debate, Charleston, SC, 7/23/07)

And here is the video of that exchange.

So Mr Obama, are you ready to sit down with Assad now in light of his brutal crackdown of pro democracy demonstators?

This is the same debate where the southside Chicago gang banger union organizer community organizer also swore he would not send US troops into harms way without a clearly defined mission and goals.

In the absence of any evidence to the contrary I think it is safe to assume Barry O if he graduated from college, was at the bottom of his class. Now you know what law school graduates who can't work as actual attorneys do for a living.
