MSG Valentine's Proposal Was Staged

I've been had. And so were plenty of others.
Not only was it a hoax, but it was a Rangers-sanctioned hoax.

The “Blueshirt Bride” marriage proposal on Valentine’s Day from “Nick” to Melissa” that ended with “Melissa” storming off and gaining national attention through YouTube, The Huffington Post and Inside Edition, was not only fake but a source confirmed Monday the couple was actually actors hired through an agency and designed to be part of the in-game entertainment.

Meaning the Rangers’ game operations personnel were in on the joke, which occurred at 10:19 of the second period of the Rangers’ 5-2 win over the Lightning on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
How stupid. Is MSG so hard up for in-game entertainment? Shouldn't the game itself be the entertainment?
