A U.S. soldier has been charged with premeditated murder in the deaths of three Afghan civilians, Fox News has confirmed. As with all stories of this sort, judgment should be withheld until the facts are revealed and any prosecution, if it even materializes, is made. We have heard of too many of these sort of stories which have either resulted in charges being dropped or the accused being found not guilty. Specialist Jeremy Morlock, a 22-year-old Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier, was charged Friday with murdering three Afghan civilians this year in Kandahar province. He also was charged with assaulting a soldier in his unit.
Morlock, of Wasilla, Alaska, could face the death penalty if convicted.
