Bay Area IVAW Jerkoffs Celebrate Independence Day By Burning American Flag

A shame none of these assholes caught fire themselves.

This group of alleged "veterans" is merely a socialist front group.

What Say You, New Mexico Republicans?

Some folks may be aware of the name Adam Kokesh, but for those who aren't he is an anti-war protesting, socialist-leaning, ex-Marine embarrassment who has decided to run for congress in New Mexico as a Republican.

I cannot say this strong enough: Run, do not walk, away from this living oxygen thief. He has brought discredit upon himself, his country and the Marines. He was one of the first members of a group called IVAW, Iraqi Veterans Against the War, he has been a key figure in such far flung farcical productions as the Winter Soldiers hearings, along with being prosecuted for bringing back a gun from Iraq, classified as a war souvenir, for which he was demoted.

Several within the military blogging community are trying to get the word out to New Mexico voters and the public in general, and I support their efforts. I am embarrassed that the New Mexico Republican Party would even allow this scum to usurp the Republican label to run as a candidate. An open letter has been drafted to alert the public to just what sort of lowlife Kokesh is and to make them aware of his less then stellar credentials.

We are writing to you, to express our grave concerns about Adam Kokesh, who is aspiring to become the Republican nominee for US Congress from New Mexico’s 3rd district. Mr. Kokesh has an extensive and well-documented history of affiliations with radical leftist groups. In concert with these groups he has engaged in numerous anti-America and anti-military demonstrations and protests. Moreover, Mr. Kokesh does not appear to have any personal qualifications that would recommend him for serious consideration as a candidate for the Republican Party. He has a significant history suggestive of poor character and judgment, and he has notable incidents of direct activism against Republican office holders.

BTW, did you notice the Impeach Bush banner on the back of the bus in the video?

This is the next big battle in the GWOT

The next big battle in the GWOT (Global War on Terrorism) is shaping up and it is going to be fought in the ballot box. The Republicans have a slate of candidates to challenge some of the firmly entrenched enemy, er congress critters and we know from the last mid term election that the Dems have theirs also. From my personal observations on how political party lines are drawn among military members it would appear that Army and Marine Corps veterans trend to Republican or conservative parties while the former members of the Navy and Air Force tend to be more liberal. My own personal theory on this is that it has to has to do with proximity to the enemy that the veteran experienced. When you have seen the enemy face to face and been on the ground and seen just what sorrow and suffering can be inflicted onto people by brutal dictators and oppressive regimes it tends to make you real conservative real quick.
Here are the veterans running for Congress on the Republican side and here is a slate of those running under the Democrat banner.
Let me state that in the upcoming election it is apparent we will wind up with a liberal in the WH, it just depends on which flavor of liberal you want. It is therefore more important then ever before to get conservatives, notice I didn't say a party, into some seats in the congress to oppose what will surely be another era of big government and nanny state thinking. Yes I do think that those on the Republican ticket tend to be more conservative, but as the last couple of years have shown us that is no longer a hard and fast rule.
Being a veteran does not grant you any sort of superiority over anybody else, but it does give you is a value system and I would hope the moral fortitude to stand up in the face of criticism and not shift your stance based on the pop culture headline of the day. Moral courage is far harder to come by in some cases then physical courage. That is why teenagers worry more about how they are perceived among their peers then they are the outcome or consequences of their actions. We don't need people with teenage mentalities serving in federal government.
So give the vets a look, they are not all misfits who only went into the service due to a lack of other options no matter what the prevailing wisdom is in newsrooms across this country.
One last tip, if a candidate proclaims himself to be a member of the IVAW, Iraq Veterans Against the War, it is probably best to pass on that person. That group has been found to be filled with so many phonies, fakes, and outright liars that the entire group should be avoided.

Anti-War Propaganda Fest Begins in Washington Today

In an attempt to once again push their agenda into the spotlight, since the surge has not only quieted down the insurgents in Iraq but has also had a devastating effect on the insurgents at home, the group Iraqi Veterans Against the War, whose members include several discredited veterans who have all had their 15 minutes of fame by being used as lackeys of an all too willing press corp and have spun incredible tales mostly uttered by drunken soldiers trying to impress the girls in a bar at 2 AM, is launching their so called Winter Soldiers II conference starting today and running through Sunday March 16.

I don't know of anybody, other then those living in a complete bubble that do not have at least a passing acquaintance of the first Winter Soldiers meeting, that included such luminaries as John F Kerry (D-MA) and included "sworn" testimony by people who had never served or if they did serve were never in Vietnam, and were filled so many stories of crimes and atrocities that it helped to convince the American people that it was better to leave 2 million people to suffer death and torture at the hands of the Viet Cong then to try and finish them off.

Facts are facts and that is exactly what happened when we left Vietnam and something you are not likely to hear about in government schools when being taught the lessons of Vietnam.

I have delayed writing about this because I didn't want to give these unhinged social outcasts any free publicity in the run up to the event. Feelings among that group are running high as evidenced by the threats issued by, now a former member of this group, against the Gathering of Eagles group and Michelle Malkin in particular.

The individuals that these sorry pieces of humanity inspire are all over the web planning to take over recruiting stations and threatening other acts of violence against any who would dare question them or speak out against them.

Here is the IVAW agenda this weekend. Take a few minutes to review it and see if there are any liberal talking points regarding racism or poverty that they left out. These folks align with MoveOn and other such organizations.

In scanning the agenda I saw a lot of our old friends, those who have been debunked on the web but never in the mass market media.

The event kicks off tonight at 7 PM with the first real day being Friday. Follow it if you wish but more importantly follow who reports upon it. Liberals no doubt want to get the news of that politician in New York of an undetermined political party off the front page and out of the evening news.

Thanks to Charles for the link and welcome to all the lizards from LGF.

Winter Soldiers Part Deux

For those unfamiliar with the term Winter Soldiers, it was originally coined to describe service members, and as later revealed but ignored, non-soldiers who delivered a series of testimonies to a "panel" fronted by folks like John Kerry, to bring discredit to the service members fighting in the Vietnam conflict.

This charming piece of propaganda even had enough influence to get into the Congressional Record mainly on the efforts of Kerry, who then rode this bit of traitorous activity all to the way to his own seat in the Senate and then a presidential bid.

Well, there is an equally vile group today named the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) who are going to stage their own version of these hearings for the current generation of service members and undoubtedly are hoping for the same outcome. There is no doubt they will present story after gut-wrenching story of the horrors of war designed to do one thing--tug at the heart strings of all who hear them while portraying our service members in the worst possible light.

Obiter Dictum has quite a bit on this issue.

The IVAW also follows one of the other rules that may be applied to all liberal causes. The surest clue that a website or blog is run by a liberal is that it will have the dot.org tag rather then the more common dot.com ending. The other hard and fast rule is that any story involving a Dem in a scandal will omit the party affiliation until the middle or the end of the story.

So if the party affiliation is not in the first paragraph. the rule of thumb is that it is about a Democrat.

Back to the IVAW. Their latest attempt at the Winter Soldiers hearings is going to be March 13-16 in Washington, DC, and no doubt just like in a previous generation, they are going to try and get their 15 minutes of infamy in front of Congress and, who knows, the next senator from Massachusetts could be presenting their case to a sympathetic congress.

A lot of the antiwar groups who have veterans among their ranks are starting to make noise again. Another one of these groups is Vote Vets. I implore everybody to keep your eyes and ears on these groups and do not let them hide behind the shield of being a veteran, which they view as a victim shield, from getting any traction or credibility.

They do not have the best interests of service members or veterans in mind. They are political action groups pure and simple who have aligned themselves with the most far left groups in this country. One other piece of interesting information. The IVAW, Vets for Peace and Vote Vets get funding from something called the Inavale Foundation. Do a search engine search for the foundation. Let me know your results.

Obiter also has a letter for the members of the Senate Armed Services Committee along with the contact information for the senators who sit on this committee.

Instead of paying attention to these bitter publicity-seeking malcontents, might I suggest that your time be better spent attending a meeting of the Vets For Freedom Heroes Tour.
