Nearly 700 on Pantsuit Payroll

It apparently takes a pretty big village to help get Mrs. Clinton the Democrat nomination. Is it any wonder they're shaking down dishwashers in Chinatown for campaign cash?

No word on whether this massive coterie includes the flying monkeys from Media Matters.

Hill's 700-Strong Workforce Tops Obama's
Hillary Clinton Inc. has nearly 700 people on the payroll - topping Barack Obama's head count.

Clinton has paid 697 people to work for her campaign during the last three months, compared to 631 who have toiled for Obama, according to campaign-disclosure data analyzed by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Yet Obama has spent $12.6 million on salaries and benefits, compared with Clinton's $3.8 million, according to the CRP. Obama has spent more on TV ads.

The figures don't include people who work for Clinton or Obama's PACs or Senate offices.

Rudy Giuliani, the top Republican fund-raiser, had 189 people on the payroll this quarter.

In each case, some of the employees may have done work and since left the campaign, or gotten paid for only a short period of time.

Clinton also spent nearly $900,000 on media, political and fundraising consultants, according to the data.
Judging by the amount spent on salaries, it seems Obama is a free spender.

Lord knows, this certainly is an ominous portent of how large they'd love to grow the size of the government workforce.

I wonder if The Pantsuit's minions are getting free health care?

UPDATE: Don Surber links. Thanks!
