Tea Time in Times Square

If you're in Manhattan later today, you may be interested to know a Taxpayer Tea Party will be held in Times Square at 6:30 pm. New York always draws an interesting crowd and it will be curious to see how many folks show up in support here in the bluest of blue states.

There was a decent turnout in April. Let's see if the rising anger at intrusive government has more people willing to come out.
If you're passing through Times Square around 6:30 tonight, don't be surprised by the rally in Mayor Mike's newly minted Crosswalk of the World.

The "Taxpayer Tea Party" movement that popped up pretty much spontaneously last winter continues to grow.

Organizers expect several thousand on hand to protest the Obama Spend-o-Rama down in Washington -- and the tax hikes that inevitably will follow.

Speakers will include actor Stephen Baldwin (Alec's younger, much smarter, brother), and former Senate candidate KT McFarland. (OK, not exactly A-list -- but it is a grassroots affair, after all.)

The nationwide "tea party" held April 15 became quite the source of derision for many in the mainstream media -- even as it attracted upwards of 300,000.

In New York, there were some 3,500 -- well over 10 times the number that first gathered downtown back in February.
While there, perhaps New York residents can air their voice against the dysfunctional clowns from Albany, "led" by Governor Pipsqueak.

Glenn Reynolds spreads the word, which should help turnout. Thanks for the link!
