Even in the bluest of blue states the angry mob is keeping the heat on the mealy-mouthed Democrats. Tonight Barney Frank got an earful in South Dartmouth, MA. True to form he insults his constituents.

Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank got an earful from his constituents tonight in Dartmouth. Health care has been a contentious issue in town hall meetings around the country, and tonight was no different.

Frank, who chairs the House Financial Service Committee was the guest speaker at the Dartmouth Democratic Town Committee meeting. Frank was invited to speak about issues that are before the Congress right now in Washington. One of the things he wanted to focus on was the banking industry, and the country's financial mess.

However, its very clear that his constituents have health care on their mind, and there were plenty of questions about a federal health care system.

More than 500 people showed up Tuesday night, with some shouting and booing as Frank spoke at the meeting organized by the Democratic Town Committee of Dartmouth. At least a dozen protesters gathered in small groups outside the venue.

The health care overhaul has generated controversy among Democrats and near unanimous opposition among Republicans.

Frank blamed the war on Iraq for draining resources that could finance reforms.

Dartmouth Democratic party officials said people from as far as Martha's Vineyard, Boston and western Massachusetts planned to attend the meeting.
