Judge Declares Mistrial in NJ 'Blogger' Trial

This guy is a blogger like I'm a professional golfer. He's a crackpot white supremacist who was supposedly on the FBI payroll and made death threats against some Illinois judges. Calling him a blogger is a bit of a stretch, but I think the media has an underlying agenda at work here. Anyway, his trial has ended in a hung jury.
There's a hung jury at the trial of a New Jersey blogger charged with making death threats against three Illinois judges.

A judge in New York declared a mistrial in the case of Hal Turner after jurors sent him two notes -- one on Friday and another on Monday -- saying they were hopelessly deadlocked. Deliberations began Friday.

The 47-year-old Turner was charged earlier this year with threatening three appellate judges who upheld handgun bans in Chicago and suburban Oak Park, Ill.

Turner blasted the decision with a lengthy Internet posting saying, ''These judges must die.'' He also posted the judges' photographs and telephone numbers.
This story calls him a shock jock a dated term that goes back to describing Howard Stern about 25 years ago.
Turner, 47, of North Bergen, built a national audience of neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other extremists with his racist, anti-Semitic commentaries and calls to violence on his radio show and blog.
Having never heard his show or seen his blog, I can't say I'm all that familiar with Turner, but I don't think he'd actually qualify as a mainstream radio host or blogger.

Now he's graduated to ultra-right-wing shock jock. I'm sure it won't take long for the leftwing blogs to lump him in with the GOP and conservatives.
