Drunken Rangel Aide Has Restaurant Meltdown: 'You're a Disgrace to our Race'

I guess the stress of working for lowlife Charlie Rangel is getting to this guy. That or he's got a really, really bad attitude to begin with. Now what did this charming fellow lose it over? Why, a misplaced umbrella, of course.
Charlie Rangel's deputy chief of staff, Geoffrey Eaton, threw such a fit over a missing umbrella during Thursday night's downpour at Harlem's popular Chez Lucienne restaurant that management had to call police to escort him out.

According to witnesses, Eaton, 52 -- who's also president of the NAACP's Midtown branch -- flew into a rage after a meal alone at the bar of the Lenox Avenue bistro when the staff couldn't find the umbrella he insisted he'd left by the door on his way in.

"He yelled at everyone, even the customers," said the manager on duty, who asked not to be named. "We said, 'We'll give you another umbrella.' Other people offered . . . we said, 'If that's not enough, we'll pay for your cab home.' Because I know him, I let him stay for a while. I talked to him nicely, as I do with all of my customers. We tried to calm him down. I have never seen him that way. Maybe something went a little wrong."

BET.com contributor Bevy Smith, who was dining separately at the bistro, told us, "He cursed out the entire waitstaff, and everyone was trying to appease him. He was like, 'Bleep that, I want a bleeping umbrella, why the bleep can't you find it?' "

"I said, 'Shhhh.' He yells at me, 'Bleep you, and mind your own bleeping business . . . you're a disgrace to our race.' "

After 15 minutes of Eaton's ranting and raving, the manager called cops to escort him out. A source told us employees later found his umbrella in a corner. Eaton was not arrested and left in a huff.

Smith, a former fashion director for Vibe and Rolling Stone, said, "I was appalled that someone who is a president at the NAACP and works with Charlie Rangel could behave like that in a public place and towards women. He was clearly intoxicated."

Hmmm, when Mel Gibson went on a similar drunken rant it was evidence of his anti-senetic racism. Will anyone in the fifth Column Treasonous Media dare to point out that Geoffrey Eatons rant was also clearly a racist rant? I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on it.

Can you say Sheila Jackson Lee? It sounds like some of these lawmakers and their hangers on think that they are to be served by the public—who had better hop to it!

Settle down folks, the black man is merely black Irish.
I Had a Hat When I Came in
<pre>Casey wore his brand new hat to Murphy's wake last night
Someone stole his hat and, bo, it started up a fight
Casey smashed the furniture the radio as well
He nearly woke the corpse up as he began to yell

CHORUS
I had a hat when I came in
I hung it on the rack
and I'll have a hat when I go out
or I'll break somebody's back
I'm a peaceful loving man I am,
and I don't want to shout, BUT
I had a hat when I came in,
and I'll have a hat when I go out!

Casey kept on fighting sure they couldn't keep him quiet
Someone phoned up for the cops to come and stop the riot
Two cops then rushed into the room, but Casey laid them out
As he threw them through the window, they both heard Casey shout
I had a hat...

Casey kept on fighting until one eyed Paddy Flynn
Socked him on the whiskers with a great big rolling pin
He knocked poor Casey senseless, it was an awful clout
As he lay there unconscious Casey kept on shouting out
I had a hat..

The old idiom "A fool and his money are soon parted", leads us to the following "A fool and his umbrella are soon united".  Rather apt that the umbrella is the prop to shield this miserable excuse from taking responsibility for his boorish behaviour.  Cheers.

They offered him a cab, but he left in a huff?  It's usually women who use those.

'you're a disgrace to our race'.  You know, it must be hard being black, but not for the usual reasons you might think.  You are constantly made aware of your skin color by people with the same skin tone.  Because of your skin color you have to think a certain way, act a certain way and you're denigrated if you don't toe the line.   People of a different skin color who claim to support you and want to protect you from white racist, are allowed to denigrate you if don't have the right mind set.   Those who would treat you the same, treat you as an equal, are the enemy

Black people think they are being different by creating a whole hip hop culture, but in truth they are prisoners to conformity.  I'd laugh if anyone told me I was a disgrace to my race, but this woman probably took it to heart and is outraged.  My husbands best friend is black.  His daughter once told him that he has a white man inside struggling to get out.  Because he has white friends??  Because he is successful and holds his children to a high standard?  I don't understand it.

If you really want to know a man's character, pay attention to how he treats waiters, children and those who work for him.

I am pretty sure this is a guy I have no interest in knowing.

The less you work the less respect you have for those who do. This Rangel-clone is just living off of the hard work of those better than him.

In our part of town, someone would have taught him some respect.
